As the baseball season progresses, Crash takes Nuke under his wing, teaching him not just about the game but also about life and love. Meanwhile, Annie finds herself caught in a love triangle between Crash and Nuke, leading to amusing and heartfelt moments of romance and rivalry.
The film explores themes of love, loyalty, and the pursuit of dreams. It has been praised for its witty dialogue, authentic portrayal of the baseball world, and the chemistry between the lead actors. "Bull Durham" is often considered one of the best sports films ever made and has become a cult classic. It stars Kevin Costner as Crash Davis, Tim Robbins as "Nuke" LaLoosh, and Susan Sarandon as Annie Savoy.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a 2010 movie directed by Edgar Wright, who showcases not only a picture of the heroes in action, but also the sounds with which these actions are carried out, all the "bang" and "boom", and countless "ah-ah-ah!". Needles to say, that he manages to put everything together in the true style of real Englishman. He divides the frame into two, three, four, and so on often as much parts as he wants. He stuffs each episode with jokes and paints it all the colors, playfully borrowed this trick from "Speed Racer" the Wachowski brothers. It seems that Wright has decided to participate in this game seriously. Therefore, the scoring or the level of vital force, occurring on the screen for each victory, looks completely natural, and the "Scott Pilgrim" is perfectly-designed pattern. Despite the fabulously idiotic plot about "the seven former and the absence of Simon Pegg…
Robin Hood is a new attempt to take the height set by "Gladiator." And this time the attempt was successful! It has been a long time since such historical thriller of the same ideal proportions, as the "Robin Hood" appeared in the theatres. The movie features fierce battles, which are perfectly balanced by the intrigues of public policy, revenge, romance and pastoral rural life in the family estate. Actor's work by Russell Crowe is perfectly good. Ridley Scott lovingly and painstakingly recreated on screen, the smallest details of everyday life of the Medieval. "The untold story of how man became a legend" - the slogan reads "Robin Hood" and the movie really tells how to become a legend. It's about how a true knight, the best economic manager and a standard of masculinity learned and continued to develop the big ideas of his predecessors.
The film is based on a true story girl rock band 1970's, The Runaways, by the book "Neon Angel" lead singer Cherie Currie of the group - shows about her experience as a rock star, and also acts as a warning to teenagers and other people's difficulties in combating with drugs. «Space Oddity» David Bowie appears as a metaphor for the narrative: the slow timing; surreal but spectacular growth to glory, then the alienation and burnout - a long, long way from home.
Starting defiantly with an amateur stamp from the scene of creative clutter in the apartment of the protagonist, "Repo Men", however, are firmly stitched comic fighter, and quite wild, to become a cult movie. Miguel Sapochnik, plays the fool with all his might, but lively intelligence is difficult to conceal. Very soon, pulsating on the screen cyberpunk shows us a director, who with the same warmth loves "RoboCop," Tarkovsky and Pak Chan Wook. Climactic confrontation between good and evil is almost literally copied from the famous scene with the hammer of the "Oldboy"; with the only difference Sapochnik has money for various other small tools, but apparently lacks the skill neither to film it with one big plan nor to cut massacre of hundreds of different plans. It's disappointing, but not disastrous: in the end, the "Repo Men" has lots of other goods.
Prince of Persia looks like almost perfect children's movie; especially if you're over 30. Nubian knife thrower, the races at these ostriches, rattlesnakes long with anaconda, ninja assassins, and tons of gold leaf that covers literally everything - it's obviously more fun than the teeth on the edge digital apocalypse. But, of course, most of all cheers political flair writers who could not hold on to a childlike not say all the obvious association with the adjective "Persian". Such a bold mix of old and contemporary, by the way, opens up many opportunities for the film adaptation of anything - even the most "Tetris." Clearly, even that of the parallelepipeds should have to go there under the earth in 3D.
Predators movie of the 2010 is better than you can describe that! Perhaps, after "Avatar" released in late 2009 is the first movie that you want to watch and not look the clock, even when it ends. This is absolutely amazing. So if there is still someone else who is able to film it again it is necessary to make it in 3D to collect at least some cash. Action is taken in the best traditions of the genre. History is absolutely competent, not far-fetched. All genre standards are met, and it does not seem secondary. This is absolutely original, beautiful movie, which you can watch without knowing the history of the first "Predator". Although, it features many references to the first "Predator": A Memoir of Guatemala, the skull "outsiders" are present in the parking lot of hunters of prey. Movie definitely made with love to its roots and to the genre as well.
Percy Jackson came to replace the "aging" Harry Potter. There are five books already written about the boy's adventures, so you will not be missing Potter for the long time. Rick Reordan, the author of Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief before becoming a writer, taught at the American school the ancient Greek literature and was a leader in summer camp, where he conceived the idea about the Half Blood. So kids, watching a movie will feel themselves like at the lesson of history in junior high, where it is very lucidly explained that children born from gods and humans, are called demigods, and that Athena has long feud with Poseidon. Of course, the situation that the Greek gods live in America, but still continue to enter into relations with ordinary citizens, looks more than a comic. But in the movie there is no explanation for this divine movement. If you forgive this fact, you will definitely consider Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief as a good adventure movie for the teenagers.
Our Family Wedding movie revolves around a couple of the young people: Marcus (played by Lance Gross) who ends medicine colledge and Lucia (America Ferrera) who decides to join with her loved ones on the "Doctors Without Borders" program and go to Sri Lanka. Marcus and Lucia really want do get married, but the wedding is the affair of their families. In particular, Lucia's father cannot accept the fact that she leaves the studio to marry a man with a different skin color. The creators of the MacGruber movie comedy does not have to limit their abilities and filmed crazy movie with a lots of jokes (and a considerable part of them are very good), lots of stupid, but charming characters and vivid action-packed scenes. This craziness of the "MakGrubera" mood makes the picture unexpectedly fresh and very funny. A little-known Will Forte, who plays the role of MakGruber, works on courage, and most of the positive energy comes out from him. Long time not appearing on the big screen, Val Kilmer plays a main villain, and adds some respectability to the movie.
Revival of predation franchise, announced by Robert Rodriguez, featuring in The Losers as a writer and producer, became not so spectacular as it was waiting for. For the movie directed by Nimrod Antal we are expecting something more than running through the woods in the style of "Rambo: First Blood" and in a spirit of divination "who will die next." The maximum that allowed himself to Rodriguez is sadly growing number of corpses, a little red and green blood and uncertain statement that predators are the people themselves, supported by a quote from Hemingway. Statement by the way, in this case, is little bit controversial, since a good half of the time most of the earthlings saves and covers each other: like in the best tradition of some honest and not always exciting team play.
