"Trumbo" is a 2015 biographical drama film that tells the story of screenwriter Dalton Trumbo and his struggles during the Hollywood blacklist era of the 1940s and 1950s. Trumbo was one of the Hollywood Ten, a group of writers and directors who were blacklisted by the film industry for their alleged communist sympathies. The film explores Trumbo's fight against the blacklist and his eventual triumph, as he wins two Academy Awards under pseudonyms.

It's a Christmas time of 2004. An ordinary British family Henry (Ewan McGregor) and Maria (Naomi Watts) visits Thailand on vacations with their three children: Lucas, who is just turned 7, and his younger brothers Simon and Thomas (children are played by Tom Holland, Oaklee Pendergastand and Samuel Joslin, accordingly). As they reach the Thai hotel, their family suit is upgraded to villa, a horrible decision, as it turns after. They are exchanging some Christmas gifts and heading to the coastline the morning after. Nothing has presaged a catastrophe. But meanwhile the terrible roar is heard from the seaside, and, in the moment, a giant wave of Tsunami covers the shoreline with all the tourists on it, including Henry, Maria and their beloved children. The wave is crashing trees, houses, cars, throwing human bodies to right and left. In a few seconds it appears that Henry, Simon and Thomas were picked up by the strong current and wiped to the inner part of land while Maria and Lucas are struggling for their survive in the roaring waves full of fallen tries which strike them inflicting terrible wounds, and making "the happy end" for them almost impossible. The movie, filmed by Juan Antonio Bayona, an outstanding Spanish director and producer, keeps us on the toes these first 20 minutes. The super-realistic 3D sound of imminent Tsunami is awesome, the pictures of scorched post-Tsunami landscape are phenomenally affecting, and the rest of the story based on true life events is very touchable and tragic.

Inspired by California's Parent Trigger law in 2010, a Daniel Barnz's movie Won't Back Down is telling a story about two mothers, who are adamant in their decision to change things in downgrading school of their city. Their strong will and resoluteness to override the sequence of mediocre performance reports issued by the school year after year leads them to fierce battle with corruption and indolence prevailing behind the school officers and government officials. Two mothers, a bartender (Maggie Gyllenhaal) and a teacher Nona Alberts (Viola Davis) maybe belonging two different backgrounds, but they are very eager to fight the bureaucracy personalized in Principal Thompson and Teacher's Union President (portrayed by Holly Hunter, Grace Hanadarko from Saving Grace TV series). It seems like the mothers are going to lose everything in this unequal combat, however their good will to change things for better will bring them victory and safe education for their children, which deserve the best future.

This is an unusual youngster due to his many interests and talents. He is a jewelry designer, an amateur inventor, a tambourine playing musician, computer consultant, and loves astrophysics, as well as a pacifist who is in search of a lock, somewhere in New York. The mysterious key was left behind when his father perished on that fateful day. hile it seems somewhat far fetched that this small boy is out wandering the mean streets of New York City all by himself, at all hours of day or night, but we learn his mother is apparently off in a world all her own since the tragedy that befell their family. Oskar befriends older women that are closer to his mother's age and flatters them while trying to kiss them! But the lad is on a mission and determined to find what the key fits.rom a novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close stars Thomas Horn, a Teen Jeopardy winner. His father is played by Tom Hanks (Forrest Gump, Big) and mother's part played by Sandra Bullock (Speed, The Blind Side). Thoroughly entertaining and very thought provoking film.

Room is a 2015 drama film directed by Lenny Abrahamson and starring Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay. The film tells the story of a young woman named Joy and her son Jack, who have been held captive in a small shed for several years. The film explores their relationship as they attempt to escape and adjust to life outside of the shed.

This intriguing movie is based on factual events that occurred in a post war Bosnia in which any thing goes. Rachel Weisz (The Lovely Bones, The Brothers Bloom) stars as Kathryn Bolkovac, an American officer of the law who decides to help out by becoming a peacemaker in a war torn Bosnia. What she discovers is a underground world of corruption and a blossoming sex trade involving children and adults. Live humans are valuable and are sold to the highest bidders. Plenty of intrigue, corruption, and diplomatic cover-ups linked to the UN and also some (U.S. military) contractors. Bolkovac is put to the ultimate test as she tries to help in the rebuilding of this devastated area and comes up with far bigger problems than she could have imagined. Also stars Vanessa Redgraves (playing Madeleine Rees) and Benedict Cumberbatch (as Nick Philips), The Whistleblower is a very thought provoking and intriguing movie.
