Guy Ritchie has made of Sherlock Holmes's character in style of Tony Stark (Iron Man). The film looks fascinating, especially as for part of mystery stories, capable of grasping the whole 128 minutes, and at the same time funny, not devoid of jokes and humor, defusing a tense situation of the investigation. The story of the Dear John movie about the brave soldier and the windy girl built in such a way to make the audience especially girls, put their handkerchiefs to the corner of the eye and not only in the finale, but also regularly thru the movie. Sometimes it works quite well, sometimes looks outright false. Oddly, but Amanda Seyfried, who has the best roles in the recent three movie surprises here with inappropriate affectation, and in general much spoils the film.
