Toy Story 3 is a farewell to childhood, which goes sooner or later. Those who do not forgive it, in fact have no mind, but who do not regret it in fact have no heart. But in general, despite of the entourage and toy scene, "Pixar" made not "Another Child Movie" (not including plug-in shorts in the "Up") but its most serious work of the career. Children watch and laugh, because they see something of them, but only adults understand the true meaning of this movie. Old toys, then do not even the actors here, they are no cloudy reproach for us, callous, cynical adults. Pixar told this story as it would not tell anyone else. The last thing remains is to watch it.
All three layers of Tooth Fairy movie closely intertwined with each other, creating a film attractive for family watching, for the sentimental female audience, for teens who love killer comedy, and the audience that wants to watch every product of a moral code or a philosophical conclusion. Moral of the Tooth Fairy comes down to a favorite American idea: one must believe in the dream, do not lose heart, to dare, to fight, and then success will inevitably be reached. After sporting the tooth fairy, Derek is responsible for the the Cinderella story: the athlete-loser, lonely, desperate, purging the dreams of children in the end finds his family and achieves the professional success. Tooth Fairy with all its constituents is a fairy tale about faith. The protagonist opens the forgotten dreams and helping relatives gain confidence, claiming the optimistic slogan of this kind of movies: do not despair and everything comes true.
In The Spy Next Door movie Jackie Chan is in his natural environment. This is the stunt movie with a huge share of mildly humorous and amusing antics. And when the actor puts himself in comfort conditions, he performs to the maximum. And this is one of the main reasons to watch the "Spy Next Door." Because otherwise, unfortunately, this movie just is the dismal set of clichés… The degree of caricature and the secondary villains also effectively works against the movie. While children certainly, would not notice all these subtleties, and they are guaranteed to enjoy the movie.
Vincenzo Natali's "Splice" is a kind of clever scientific horror about two geneticists who created the monster mix of girl, reptile and the ostrich. "Splice" is not rolled into something too much nerdy and viewers remain involved to a movie plot that makes them cling to the arm of the chair, putting thoughts on lofty matters before leaving the theater. Natali rushed to the scene Chimera in the days of "Cuba", but 90s he had neither the money nor the technical means. Now, there is an opportunity to implement any plan, and with them came to realize: and it is not in favor of CGI industry - just look at what happened to Gilliam and Burton. Natalie is not concerned with: he has bright enough ideas without a CGI. "Splice" justifies tons of meaningless computer graphics that have been poured on us for the last dozen years.
The fact that appeals to the classic Disney animated film "Fantasia", The Sorcerer's Apprentice" movie was a success, making it hardly unexpected blockbuster the 2010 summer. The decisive factor is probably worth to consider the appointment of a director's chair, Jon Turteltaub. This school friend of Nicolas Cage commemorates in connection with "National Treasure", and in the new movie he has done almost all the same, minus the injections a few stupid conspiracy patriotism doses. In "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" he not only made the reliability of the tale, but also led to believe in the magical origins of Nicolas Cage, in recent years the losses, on the contrary, the tragic mediocrity. And finally, we believe, neon signs have never seemed so magical thing, like after watching this, probably the best children's film of the 2010 year.
The cinematographic version of adventures of a character named Solomon Kane, invented by Robert Howard (author of "Conan the Barbarian"), is a thick mix of the mud, blood, religious fanaticism and the ever-popular theme of zombies. Solomon Kane, unlike Van Helsing, who is here hinted at, basically, a cloak and hat, posed in a much more serious condition: he does not fight with single semi-comic characters like philoprogenitive Dracula or shrek-looking Mr. Hyde. He is opposed to evil as such, evil emanating from the enemy of the human race. This struggle involves bonfires, crucifixion, and the maximum concentration, and the religion, which naturally excludes all there worldly pleasures like love, joy, and throwing in witty remarks.
All you need to know about the "Shutter Island" to watch it. It's a great movie that should you definitely watch, in the end all the answers will be given and the denouement will be unexpected. The traditional for Scorsese almost three-hour running time is a little bit discouraging. But you should trust: a mystery of the movie worth it. If the "Shutter Island" was a half hour shorter, it would be a cult masterpiece. In the present form of insanity redundancy, unnecessary images design weights film stretches the path of the hero to the old lighthouse - and the prolixity of the lost relics of the final revelation and enjoyment of the movie, eventually. This is the main and only disadvantage of "Island of the Damned" almost redeems acting. The film is surprisingly colorful. Martin Scorsese perfectly controlled a color and a setting of the frame even before, but the colors and pictures in the "Shutter Island" look just magical, and immerse you in a world of island with a head.
Shrek Forever After is truly moving very easily and rapidly: there enough jokes and cheerful scenes. There is the mass of funny stories creatively converted into awesome jokes … there is even an "Hi" to the Beastie Boys. But there is some kind of an annoying snag which prevents to proclaim the fourth "Shrek" as a triumphing return to the roots. Such annoying thing persists here; that you think about it while you are smiling from ear to ear. Apparently, the matter is about the same issue, that will happens with the "Ice Age" it is really hard to get involved familiar things when they happening with the characters in every sequel. In general, Shrek Forever After is funny manual for the family therapy, multi-colored, moderately exciting, and in the 3D.
She's Out of My League is a fairy tale vice versa. The story is not about how Cinderella finds her prince, but how a voiceless Troubadour wins the heart of beautiful ladies. In addition, the Troubadour is really very unattractive, and the lady at the check turns out to be far from perfect. Everything in life - which, indeed, sought the creators of the picture, striving to withdraw is not a parody, but realistic movie about living people, whose fate would be indifferent to the spectators. "She's Out of My League" is an excellent movie to raise the pep. Especially because the film's message: Be sure of himself and the beautiful girl will be yours.
Sex and the City 2 is the door from "Being John Malkovich" straight into the female brain. Heroines' trip to the UAE may be seen in the wildest hallucinogenic ravings only, because half the movie has no relation to reality. Everything you can see, just the cinematic incarnation of women's dreams, not repressed neither the budget (compared to the previous film, he rose half as much), or by considerations of propriety… there is no common sense. Before you bare the mechanism: how and what every woman secretly dreams. "Sex and the City 2" took the old cynical tone, and began to dissect the theme, surrounded by silence or enthusiastic piety, while main characters defend personal, non-conventional happiness again.
