When Miles learns the Society operates on a rigid doctrine about which tragedies must be allowed to happen, he finds himself at odds with hundreds of versions of himself. Hailee Steinfeld returns as Gwen Stacy, with Jason Schwartzman voicing the villainous Spot.

It received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature and ends on a cliffhanger leading into Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Brothers is a film of halftones, notes on the margins, where the beauty is in the Details. But, like many other such intricate work, the film seemed not over: cut off in mid-sentence. The brothers conflict ends with the simple phrase. Sam's internal conflict, the break of conscience after capture in Afghanistan is just honesty. From this point of view Brothers are perceived only a demonstration of acting, the spectacular, of course, but still remaining essentially "the casting". Psychological observations, the reliability of the details and fine texture of the characters are the wonderful elements of the movie, but really outstanding masterpieces are crowned with the point, not the dots.
Planet 51 is a very talented movie. It features very luxurious animated component, even taking into consideration that all aliens in the cartoon are strongly reminiscent to Shrek. Plot elements are flawlessly too, and you can watch Planet 51 with interest and you will not be able to predict the denouement even in a few minutes before finale. And there is quite successful and modern idea of making a cartoon in which using the aliens you can gently poke fun the petit bourgeois way of life. Cartoon has all chances to stand of the shelf next to all the best samples of the genre.
We learned long time ago about the fact that life begins after 40 years only, but the paradigm of female happiness inexhaustible, and this proves the It's Complicated movie. Brilliant artists and masters of comedy Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin play a love triangle easily, gently, as if dancing: the performers do not have anything from a squeeze. While watching this movie you feel that the script allowed the actors to enjoy its content and dynamic form of a play in the process of implementing the project, which even then talking about the perception of the results of such work. The film, targeted at the female audience, gives a pleasant, warm pleasure thanks to flirtatious and vibrant Streep's heroine, her shy and sweet suitor played by Martin and brutal ex-husband by Baldwin. Success and good fortune of the film based on the win-win bet on actors. They play every funny scene as the little comedy sketch, bringing a light, somewhat pleasant sadness.
Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is a hymn to the absurd and total irrationality of everything. You can feel itwhen you are on the way of your own self-destruction, when the moral imperatives are thrown in the trash, and the place occupied by sleeping rational naughty and daring instincts. It is paradoxical but true: it is Herzog managed to break Nicolas Cage's (with rare perseverance ruin their once-glorious career) familiar mask of grief and sorrow. In fact, this local success is a mirror image of director's methods of the maestro.
There are reasons to watch Precious and not just because of Mo `Nick received for her Oscar for the second plan role, and Gabouri Sidibe got the nomination for Best Actress. Precious is not just a history of trouble, not even "Uncle Tom's Cabin" for feminine or manifest of inhabitants of the ghetto. Lee Daniels goes in the footsteps of Sapphire to explore the girl's life, which no one has ever loved. She unexpectedly transforms when she found people taking part in her life. In this case, the default is it that love is very opposite to the sex. Cinema rarely takes a task to prove that there is the love which can rise up people from the bestial thoughtless existence in the pre-human ghettos, believing that the Sermon on the Mount was already held. As it turned out, there are exceptions…
Hurt Locker was perhaps the first film about Iraq with absolutely no political motivation that gives the movie a special status. It tells a simple story of ordinary madness that under certain circumstances becomes the norm, and in this sense, Hurt Locker is as much about war as Apocalypse Now. In an ecstasy of contemplation Bigelow took off her best films, but Hurt Locker, perhaps, reached its peak, virtually eliminating the plot and are entirely focused on determining the concentration of adrenaline in the blood of experimental characters.
A film by Robert Schwentke is not even trying to step into the territory of melodrama: the protagonist played by Rachel McAdams is so in love with that there are no other characteristics can be found in her person. Her partner, Eric Bana plays just a handsome man, imbued with positive as with chloroform, next to whom dreamy lonely woman wished to be. Of course, Bana is not shining, as Patrick Swayze, while parting with Demi Moore, but it crumbles in the arms McAdams, like sand in the sandglass tears. Confrontation and the unity of love and time was already fully embodied on the screen by Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain), and for this pathos it was actually destroyed by the critics in Venice and the audience at the box office. Schwentke choked with the same feelings, but he also significantly reduced the degree of expressiveness.
George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey play a comedy about Americans fighting in Iraq. They scream "We're Americans, we can help!" and accidentally knocked the car the one who wanted to help. They arrange a shooting in the queue for gasoline, and then write off the victims for Al-Qaeda. They send light-tortured prisoners in a camp at Guantánamo with children's songs. No, of course, Clooney, with sparkling eyes, welcoming the sun, and Bridges in uniform, with the Aum-sound on the T-shirt and a bouquet of daisies, and McGregor's Spacey, cautiously wondered if there something that makes him the Jedi - they are all gorgeous. But it is like thus Heslov's lamb - it's unlikely to work.
Fantastic Mr. Fox is one of the most anticipated animated films of 2009. The interest to the project arose long before its world premiere - even with the same time, as in the information leaked that Wes Anderson will be a new director the cartoon. This news was received as a sensation by the majority of moviegoers. Still, after all, Anderson owns an awesome reputation in Hollywood, as talented director of a new generation; the one who made Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, and The Darjeeling Limited a success, even in the most severe critics, and gathered a number of prestigious awards and nominations at various film festivals . Nobody could quite believe that the director, qualified for his art-house cinema projects, with all the seriousness decides to go into animation. "Fantastic Mr. Fox had planned to start in 2004, and there were two in the director's chair, in addition to Anderson's there was Henry Selick, the author of the notorious Nightmare Before Christmas. But Revolution Studios, whicj was responsible for the film suddenly collapsed, and the project had to be frozen for years. Nudge Mr. Fox a dead-vouched by studio namesake Twentieth Century Fox; they made some reoffer to Anderson. And, despite the fact that Selick was unable to participate in the project, Anderson, acted as a professional who bravely took up his first step in the animation film career. "Decided not to reinvent the wheel, at least in terms of voice acting, Wes invited to cast those he has worked with before - Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Willem Dafoe. Thanks to the participation these stars, cartoon attracted attention and has got very sweet recognizable voices. "Among others new faces, not previously worked with Anderson on the set, George Clooney was spotted. He voiced the main character in this movie - the insidious Mr Fox, whose regular raids on the nearby chicken coops have long been standing in the throat of local farmers which wanted to, by all means, take revenge on the elusive thief. "However, after the birth of her son Lee decides to engage with the past and bring income families more legal way.
