Secretariat is a Walt Disney studio production movie released in 2010 and loosely based on real story of Penny Chenery (Diane Lane), a modest housewife who has a fate to become the first woman to win the Triple Crown and take a reputable place in the man-ruled world of horse races. Since her father becomes seriously ill Penny has to run his horse stables balancing on a bankruptcy edge. But very quickly she became interested in the world of horse racing and got into it, without any dreams about great professional success, but soon the fortune grants her the gift, a horse named Secretariat with outstanding racing talents matching the veteran horse trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)…and the undreamed success comes true.

"61*" is a sports drama film directed by Billy Crystal and starring Barry Pepper and Thomas Jane. It depicts the historical rivalry between baseball players Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle during their record-breaking 1961 season with the New York Yankees. The film explores the challenges and pressures faced by Maris as he attempts to break Babe Ruth's record of 60 home runs in a single season, while also dealing with media scrutiny and public criticism.

The first movie since In Line of Fire (1993) where Clint Eastwood plays not being a director of the film, Trouble with the Curve (2012) is a sport-drama film which story centers on aging basketball scout Gus (Clint Eastwood). There were the times when almost retired senior man was a legend of a baseball scouting. He recruited a world-famous Micky Mantle and Hank Aaron. However, those times are in the past, and a Gus's executives afraid that he stuck in dinosaur ages, saying "Nobody cares who scouted Hank Aaron anymore." So, it seems like Gus has to prove his professionalism at the dusk of his carrier. He has to start his last scouting voyage, which he decides to perform with his daughter Micky named after a baseball star he scouted many years ago (the role of Micky was performed by Amy Adams). During the tour they meet Johnny Flanagan (Justin Timberlake), a rival scout, which was scouted by Gus some time ago, and who has an eye on Micky (and that is Gus couldn't accept). Indeed, Gus and Johnny are good friends, and Micky couldn't stay between them. There is something more about Gus scouting trip – he has the eyesight problems making him impossible to successfully judge whether this or that player is promising or no. This is the work for Micky eyes, and this is a strange symbiosis of aging professional scout and his adoring daughter, who used to love baseball and now hates it seeing the treat to his father health. The script of Trouble with the Curve has come a long way to hit the screens (almost 15 years) which may indicate its was not good enough; but not in this case. When you are watching Clint Eastwood films one thing is sure, Clint always delivers.

Chasing Mavericks is an inspirational movie based on the true story about the life and achievements of an icon of world surfing, Jay Moriarty, who died in 2001 at age of 21, and imprinted himself in the memory in generations as the best of the best soul surfers. Directed by talented Curtis Hanson and Michael Apted, the movie stars Gerard Butler as Frosty Hesson, a Moriarty mentor and Jonny Weston as Jay himself. Gerard Butler name may sound familiar to you as he played King Leonidas in Zack Snyder's "300". Jonny Weston is known for his roles as Jack in Adam Christian Clark's Caroline and Jackie. Two friends unite in their quest of the life to conquer the Mavericks, most violent and highest tidal waves of North California. The waves which claimed lots of lives of legendary surfers such as Mark Foo. The film so colorfully depicts surfing Mavericks in Half Moon Bay, California, that even people who never ever tried surfing become infected by the idea to ride the wave someday. Although the real Jay Moriarty did not die in the waves (actually he drowned while practicing breath holding and meditating deep in the waters of Indian Ocean with a group of Brazilian divers), surfing on the waves of such a height could be very dangerous even for professional surfers. It's notable that Gerard Butler was heavy injured during the filming Chasing Mavericks, being submerged under two giant waves and subsequently hit by several others more while swimming towards the shore. He was taken to hospital, but his traumas have dramatically affected the filming of the movie as well as his personal life, leading him to rehab after he has developed a dependence on pain medication.

"Dreamer" is a 2005 drama film inspired by the true story of a racehorse named Mariah's Storm. The movie centers around Ben Crane, a horse trainer who finds himself facing personal and professional challenges. When a promising racehorse named Sonador suffers a career-threatening injury, Ben believes in her potential for greatness and decides to take a risk by investing his own money to rehabilitate her.

The Blind Side tells a story about the black guy who has no father or mother, no relatives, and those who have do not want to burden their lives. And then one cold day he is taken to wealthy family, initially for one night, and then for life. or many it may seem strange how the family took a stranger, and no one dared to complain. The film shows that the both, husband and wife, are always present at school, sporting activities of their children and actively (but without fanaticism) are involved in their lives. Children, in their turn, respect their parents. And the Sandra Bullock's character has come a moment when she made everything she need for herself, but wanted to do something for good someone else, not just hand over a check for charity, but directly participate in making somebody's life better…
