Reporter Bob Wilton travels to Iraq looking for a story and meets Lyn Cassady, a former soldier who says he belonged to an experimental Army unit trained to use intuition and paranormal techniques. Bob follows Lyn across the desert as Lyn searches for Bill Django, the officer who created the unit’s unconventional philosophy.
Their journey leads toward a private operation run by Lyn’s former rival Larry Hooper, where the original ideas have been redirected toward manipulation and profit. The film treats Bob’s investigation as a satirical road story, contrasting his need for proof with Lyn’s determination to recover the purpose he believes the program once had.
