Drop is a tightly wound Blumhouse thriller from director Christopher Landon, the filmmaker behind Happy Death Day and Freaky. Meghann Fahy, breaking out after The White Lotus, stars as Violet, a widowed single mother stepping back into the dating world for the first time in years. Her date at an upscale high-rise restaurant is meant to be a fresh start — until her phone begins to buzz.
As Violet sits across from her seemingly perfect date, Henry (Brandon Sklenar), she starts receiving anonymous, escalating messages through an AirDrop-style app. The sender can see her, is somewhere inside the restaurant, and threatens to have her young son killed at home unless she obeys — including a demand that she murder her date. Unfolding almost in real time within a single location, the film turns a candlelit dinner into an agonizing pressure cooker.
Written by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach and produced under the Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes banners, Drop opened in April 2025 to an 83% Rotten Tomatoes score and strong word of mouth for Fahy, grossing roughly $28 million against an $11 million budget. Critics praised how Landon sustains tension almost entirely through a woman, a phone and a table she cannot leave.

John Smith finds he has certain powers and that he is not the only teenage alien around the planet Earth. There were a total of eight and they were destined to die in order and one at a time. Now it is Smith's turn. I am number four is about deadly encounters and youthful desires as John Smith finds romance in Paradise, Ohio. But he cannot be "normal" because he is constantly being chased and is next in line to be eliminated. With companion and guardian Henri's help John finds his ability is growing and just maybe he can fight off the powerful forces that are after him.
In the action packed thriller The Adjustment Bureau, we find that smooth talking politicians with ambition like David Norris has may well be endangered and end up in the hands of "Fate". Men will do just about anything possible to keep Norris and his beautiful new companion Elise (played by Emily Blunt) from becoming close. Norris (Matt Damon) who is the winning contender for a U.S. Senate seat needs to decide how much he wants her or be placed in the hands of Fate. tory line is based loosely on a short story (Adjustment Team) written by Philip K. Dick and is action packed from the opening scenes. Filmed in Manhattan, the movie takes full advantage of the sights and sounds of an active city where politics takes top billing. Elise is a ballet dancer who may be caught up in the intrigue or a part of it. The Adjustment Bureau seems to be determined to keep her and her rising star politician from romantic involvement… but why? Filled with car chases, crashes, and mystery, this 2011 movie is one to experience and enjoy.
Water for Elephants comes out in 2011 as an adaptation from the novel by Sara Gruen published in 2006. The movie, starts as a flashback of an old man and is set during the time of the Great Depression stars Robert Pattinson, of Twilight fame, playing a veterinary student, named Jacob Jankowski, who is orphaned and finds himself jumping aboard a passing train transporting the Benzini Brothers traveling circus. Jacob becomes the de facto veterinarian for the circus animals, including an elephant, name Rosie, who is 'un-trainable' until Pattinson's character finds a way to get through to her. Of course, there is a love triangle involving Pattinson, Academy Award winner Christopher Waltz, and the ever so hot Resse Witherspoon in here as well, but in order to avoid the spoiler, no more will be said. Suffice it to say, those who want to feel that 'tug' at their heartstrings will not be disappointed.

Loosely based on the Goldie Hawn movie from 1969, Cactus Flower, the premise revolves around a plastic surgeon who wants to be married. He pretends to be unhappily married (to secretary Jennifer Aniston) and soon find he and her children taking a trip to Hawaii which will definitely change each of their lives. icole Kidman and Dave Mathews come on the scene as a cool couple who are part of the "hip scene" and Brooklyn Decker (Sports Illustrated model) is the girl of Danny's (Adam Sandler) dreams who mostly decorates the film throughout the movie. Just Go With is a romantic comedy that has a message which is all about being honest from the get go with relationships that matter."

The year is 140 AD and it is some twenty years after the disappearance of the whole Ninth Legion while in Scotland's mountains. Seeking to solve the mystery and also get his father back his reputation, Marcus Aquila works his way across the Hadrian's Wall, into Caledonia's uncharted highlands where he meets up with savage tribes in order to retrieve his father's honor, his memory, as well as the lost golden emblem known as the Eagle of the Ninth.
If you like comedy and you like Sci-Fi, then you will like "Paul" movie. The story includes some recognizable names, faces, and voices from Hollywood. Two comic book/ Sci-Fi geeks, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost (from Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead), take their trek to pay homage to the heartland of American Ufology, Area 51. To their utter shock they come upon a living alien named, you guessed it, Paul (voice by Seth Rogan) and then, cue the ensuing hilarity and a bit of action. Chased by the feds, and an insane father of a girl they 'accidentally' kidnap, the duo rush to get Paul safely to his mother ship in order to be reunited with his own kind and escape the government solitude that has been forced upon him.
Gnomeo & Juliet is a CGI animated film surprisingly based upon William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet only this love story is one of garden gnomes caught in the midst of bigotry in their families. The feud between the red and the blue garden gnomes threatens to undo the love between the two star crossed lovers. The picture, produced by Touchstone Pictures, features the music of Elton John and Lady Gaga. The gnomes in love given voices by James McAvoy and Emily Blunt. The story follows the two garden gnomes as they try to find happiness in their love and keep tragedy at bay. Rated G, by the MPAA, it is the first such rating given a Touchstone production since The Nightmare Before Christmas.
