The Hobbit movie was scheduled to release in 2012 as the first part of epic saga based on J. R. R. Tolkien's book "The Hobbit, or There and Back Again" written in 1937. If the first part of "The Hobbit" movie pictures events described in the original book, the next, second part is planned to serve as a bridge between the Bilbo Baggins' and a group of dwarves' voyage to the Lonely Mountain and the beginning of the first part of Lord of The Rings trilogy. Peter Jackson, director and executive producer of the "Lord of The Rings" films hired Guillermo del Toro to direct filming both of the parts and bring a fresh perspective in the movie plot. "I plan to change and expand the visuals from Peter's, and I know the world can be portrayed in a different way." said del Toro in his interview to Premiere magazine. The acting cast consists of Martin Freeman (as Bilbo Baggins) previously starred in BBC contemporary adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes and Richard Armitage (as Thorin Oakenshield) know as Robert Lovelace in BBC Radio 4's production of "Clarissa: A History of a Young Lady"

If Stephenie Meyer's prose is not acceptable for you by age or other reasons you will like Daybreakers. Invented and filmed by Michael and Peter Spierig, they at least can interest you. After securing finally over the world, vampires have done it openly fascist. The Daybreakers world is dividedon the beings first, second and even third grate, it features excessive militarization, corporatism and other attributes. The scenery, however, sometimes recalls The Matrix. Instead of farms where people got out of energy, there is stacked factories for "milking" the blood. Yes, and the "treatment" of vampire Ethan Hawke clearly held under the motto "Welcome to reality."

Maleficent is Disney's 2014 retelling of their classic animated tale—with a twist. In this revisionist fairytale, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) lives an idyllic life in the forest before the human she has fallen in love with betrays her in exchange for a kingdom, cutting off and stealing her wings. As revenge, Maleficent curses the new king's baby daughter, Aurora (Elle Fanning) to prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a death-like sleep on reaching adulthood, only to be woken by true love's kiss. Little does Maleficent realize that Aurora will be nothing like her father, and may be the only hope of restoring peace to their fractured land—and to Maleficent's heart. The film received mixed to positive reviews, with reviewers praising the performance of the two lead actresses as well as the emotional richness in the storytelling.

It's a third appearance of Chris Hemsworth as mighty Thor after Kenneth Branagh's Thor filmed in 2011 and Joss Whedon's The Avengers filmed in 2012. The story of Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World is a direct sequel of the first movie and it takes place just year after the events of The Avengers. When he meets his passion, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), his quest becomes more complicated – to rescue his love interest and save both Earth and Asgard. As for ensemble cast it's quite clear that previous movies successes inspired producers to inflate the budget significantly, besides the actors which were starring in the first movie Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins there some new Hollywood stars: Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Heroes, G.I. John Carter is an epic hero from novels written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, one of the most beloved and prolific writers of the 20th Century. This movie version has John Carter being transported to what is called Barsoom or Mars and entering conflicts between the planet's nations. There he encounters leaders Tars Tarkas as well as Princess Dejah Thoris as he attempts to save the people of Barsoom. Based on the novel titled A Princess of Mars, John Carter was first published as a serial in magazines back in 1912 before becoming a novel. The lead character, Carter, is a veteran of the Civil War in America and while on Mars he encounters huge green barbarians who are twelve feet tall with six limbs and long dangerous tusks. It is a world that is difficult to survive in and Carter must fight his way back home again if he can.aylor Kitsch of the TV series Friday Night Lights stars as John Carter, Willem Dafoe (Daybreakers, Spider-Man 3) is Tars Tarkas, and Princess Dejah Thoris is played by Lynn Collins (True Blood, Haunted).
