Those who loved the book will love the movie, I think. Those who don't know the book will love it just the same." So, there is the case and the question for us to decide: can we trust Michael Connelly?"

The original fairy tale story titled Little Red Riding Hood was a cautionary tale filled with darkness and scary wolves but seemed mild compared to this up-dated version. Produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and with a stellar cast including: Amanda Seyfried (Big Love, Mama Mia), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight, Planet 51), Julie Christie (Glorious 39, Finding Neverland) and Billy Burke (Twilight, Fringe). Valerie is our Red Riding Hood who lives in a medieval village where a werewolf stalks its prey. She falls in love with a woodcutter who is beneath her as far as her parents are concerned. They had planned on her marrying into wealth and comfort with Henry (Max Irons) but she defies them. "When Valerie's sister is killed by the werewolf the town asks a famous "werewolf hunter" (Oldman) in to destroy the monster they've feared for decades. How can this beast be found when it takes on human form in daylight and could be among them at any time? Now the death toll will rise with each passing full moon."
When the Farrelly Brothers set out to make a movie they always go for the humorous and predictable male ego (they're so easy). Guys like Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) are easy to manipulate and their wives certainly know how to "push their buttons". So when these long time best friends, with lots in common, become restless and bored with their home life, it's up to their long suffering wives to find a method of recharging their interest in home life. Both Rick's wife, portrayed by Jenna Fischer, and Jason's wife, played by Christina Applegate know what's on their men's devious little minds and give them a Hall Pass to go out and do whatever they wish for one week. This offering is something the two restless married men find mighty attractive until they realize their wives have plans to do the same thing with their time away from the men in their lives.Soon enough each individual finds their expectations may be set too low. A romantic comedy with great writing and a superb cast make Hall Pass (2011) one to watch and perhaps learn something from the message."
It's the 80's in Los Angeles and life seems good. Plenty of cocaine and cash keep the younger set in a party mood and Take Me Home Tonight is what everybody seems to want. Matt Franklin (Topher Grace), a grad from MIT, decides his high paying job is not enough to satisfy and instead takes a job working in a video store as a clerk. Now his parents think he has "flipped out" for sure. He wants his dream girl, Teresa (Tori Frederking) to notice him and things take on a decidedly explosive twist in one night of excessive festivity at a Labor Day party weekend. It all comes to a head when too many excesses prove to have explosive results. Depicting heavy drug use, though common in the 80's, nearly kept Take Me Home Tonight from completion with moral standards of today but Brian Grazer and Ron Howard (Imagine Entertainment) saved the day and many of the cut scenes.
