AMC presents another reality TV series about advertising business, which is pretty much similar to The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice. So if you are very fan of these two abovementioned shows, there are lots of chances you'll be hooked by The Pitch. If not, it depends on how much you like shows revolving around business battles between professionals in highly stressed environment. Number of cooking and fashion series could be referred to this group: Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmares, Project Runaway etc. Another most likely chance for you to become addicted to The Pitch is that you are working in advertising business. Although most of its "reality" scenes are considered as a fake by many advertising market professionals, there are still lots of both interesting and intriguing moments; just imagine two super heavy-weighted world known marketing agencies struggling against each other to win a contract with America's largest QSR, the Subway.
Picture this"¦ it's the 1950's in the ultra glamorous Miami Florida. The hotels are huge and luxurious and the people who run them all appear to be a bit "shady". Mob influence is obvious but the guests who stay for days or weeks at a time don't mind as they watch for "Miami Vice" to come to life there. Creator Mitch Glazer lived the life when he was growing up as he worked as a cabana boy and his father was involved in hotel maintenance back in the late 50's. All the glitz and glamour covers up a world of gangsters, dope dealers, and strippers that has always been part of the lifestyle. And it makes for interesting viewing, particularly when based on true events. Starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural, Watchmen) as "Ike" Isaac Evans, Olga Kurylenko (Quantum of Solace, Hitman) plays Vera Evans, Steven Strait (Undiscovered, City Island) is the young Stevie Evans, and Elena Satine (Melrose Place, Smallville) is Judi Silver. An intriguing show with lots of nice scenery and plenty of action, Magic City is one to watch.

As with the movie that aired on the Lifetime network in 2010, The Client List is about a single mom who struggles between her parenthood role and the career she has chosen in the massage therapy business. The industry has long existed under a dark cloud and many thought there was prostitution involved. Professional Massage Therapists keep trying to convince the public that theirs is a strictly legal line of work and that they operate with high moral standards and are regulated by state medical rules in most states. Jennifer Love Hewitt does reprise her role from the 2010 made for TV film, The Client List, as Riley Parks the single parent who tries to provide for her children while managing to be a strong business woman. As she balances her two lives Parks struggles to keep food on her family's table and help her business gain legitimacy. Jennifer Love Hewitt (Hot In Cleveland, Party of Five) is joined by Cybill Shepherd (Moonlighting, The Last Picture Show) who plays her mother, Lynette. Rebecca Field (October Road, Monk) is Lacey, longtime girlfriend of Riley. The TV series fits in well with Lifetime Television's style of portraying roles based on strong independent women.
In 2012, Punk'd returns on the screens after eight brilliant seasons, shot and released in 2003-2007 time frame. And if many years ago, these 8 seasons make not particularly well-known Ashton Kutcher a Hollywood star, the new season starts with ready-made pop star Justin Bieber. Those who watched Punk'd in 2003 had witnessed the TV show made a star, and in 2012 we will see the star who makes the show. Whatever it was, Punk'd has never lacked any "starness": every season consisted of three pranks on three different celebrities. It is easy to calculate the total of eight seasons with 8 episodes on each return 192 celebrities who have become "victims" of Ashton Kutcher jokes. Good pool for the gaining the right connections in the world of show business, indeed, excepting the cases where the lack of a sense of humor of some stars endangered the health and lives of the show's host and its leading actors. In 2012, Justin Bieber opens score of punk'd celebrities, which means that the new version of the MTV series is beginning to attract the attention of almost billionth army of his fans from very first episode.
Hiring former fugitives to assist the U.S. Marshals with cleaning up the mean streets sounds like a far fetched idea but it works, at least on Breakout Kings. After all who would know better how to outwit the bad guys than former criminals themselves? They don't get off scott free exactly but do receive time off their sentences for aiding in the capture of crooks and as they get one month off their sentence for each criminal they help apprehend it makes sense that they work hard for their eventual release. Most of the "cons" do appreciate the opportunity to reduce their jail time and even get enthused with the prospect of turning over bad guys themselves. Charlie Duchamp (Laz Alonso from Fast & Furious, Avatar) is head of the task force and a previous member of the Criminal Program Analysis Department. A heart ailment kept him tied to his desk job but he still manages to break records getting the criminals reined in. Ray Zancanelli (played by Domenick Lombardozzi from Public Enemies, Miami Vice) lost his Marshals job due to a theft conviction. He works well with the criminal set because he knows the territory so well. Brooke Nevin (Sherman's Way, Infestation) is Julianne Simms, student of law enforcement who has mental issues keeping her from her full potential. This "mixed bag" of law enforcers work well together, keeping criminals in line most of the time.
Alex Meyers, played by Amanda Peet (Syriana, Griffin and Phoenix) is a no nonsense attorney who is recently divorced and in need of having her kitchen renovated. She hires Pete (played by David Walton from Quarterlife, Heist) has a reputation as a irresponsible womanizing guy who is trying to rebuild his career as a contractor and leave his promiscuous ways and gambling habits behind him. Alex's husband was imprisoned for insider trading struggles to keep her life on track and raise her daughter Charlie Meyers (Joey King from Ghost Whisperer, Crazy, Stupid Love) is a typical 8 year old who is wise way beyond her years. Contractor Pete's father is played by Jeffrey Tambor from Arrested Development, The Hangover, a want to be musician who livens up things mostly because he is such a funny guy! With plenty of great comedy writing and people to deliver it well this show will keep audiences laughing for a long time!
Each of the wives of these basketball pros have something in common"¦ they have husbands who are high in stature as well as high profile in their lives. Being a celebrity wife is not all that easy as these "wives" can show us. Jealousy in the midst of "reality" television is common and we have seen it ever since the first episodes of Survivor. But these ladies seem to take it to another level with their backbiting and competition involving lifestyles most of us only dream about. Jennifer (Williams) defends her right to put on a new face for the latest season's shows and makes a vow to rise above all of that drama we see on the show. Shaunie (O'Neal) has a rather dramatic turn of events surrounding her latest birthday bash. Meanwhile, Evelyn (Lozada) has her own blog and tries to explain why laughing at Kenya Bell's boring speech is absolutely rude! Suzie (Ketcham) discusses food stamps and comments on her dramatic turn of events with Jennifer (Williams), blaming her attitude on alcohol (not that any of these fine ladies hit the bottle)! Lets hope they keep all this drama in the proper perspective, and the show keeps on fascinating many of us viewers!

Old rivalries ignite all over again when Amanda moves back and lives with her mother (Annie Potts from Ghostbusters, Men in Trees).
