Take a pair of long time friends who've become attorneys then put them to work in a stuffy law firm, and you have a new hit television series called Franklin & Bash. Breckin Meyer (Garfield: The Movie & Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) is Jared Franklin, overly self confident son of a well known trial lawyer who still loves to party, even while on the job. Mark-Paul Gosselaar (John from Cincinnati, Raising the Bar) plays Peter Bash who has been a close friend of Jared's for years and is much more mature than his zany pal "crash" a law firm by use of some rather unconventional techniques that amaze senior partner Stanton Infeld (Malcolm McDowell (A Clockwork Orange) enough that he hires them to work in the firm. Once they move to the new prestigious firm even get their own enormous partners office. Franklin & Bash realize they've hit the jackpot with their new jobs and won't let their stuffed shirt new bosses tell them how to practice law. All is not well, of course, and they learn that compromise is important to succeed in their line of work and still have fun doing their jobs.

My Life as Liz star Liz Lee is a breath of fresh air to reality TV As with all reality based programming today My Life as Liz goes for the dramatized lifestyle and follows along in daily routines. Liz finds life tough at the Pratt Institute where she attends college classes with television cameras following her every move. My Life as Liz cannot simply be called a sitcom because it's not. It also cannot fit the "dramatic" shoes of others like Survivor or America's Got Talent because there is no actual competition involved here. Liz Lee finds life in college a challenge whenever she is around others her age like classmates but when she's alone the show gets "stylized" and down to the details of a young woman's lifestyle. Music from Faded Paper Figures is often in the spotlight, particularly at the ending credits and within various episodes. Burleson, Texas is home to Liz and it's her conservative suburban home that she feels most at home. Liz is a "geek" who's proud to be one and her friends actually like her for that. Tori Langley and Taylor Terry are her best friends, Cori Cooper is her arch nemesis and a young man named Bryson Gilreath is her main love (at this point) in her life.

"Crashing" is a TV series created by Pete Holmes that aired on HBO from 2017 to 2019. The show follows the life of a fictionalized version of Holmes, who is a struggling comedian trying to make a name for himself in the New York City stand-up comedy scene.

Just as we all began to wonder whether or not William H. Macy ever would land a role as juicy and delicious as playing Felicity Huffman's real-life husband, he scored arguably the greatest part of his entire career, starring as Frank Gallagher on Showtime's gritty new "Shameless." Frank drinks. Frank drinks shamelessly, intrepidly, relentlessly, recklessly and irretrievably while his six motherless children learn to fend for themselves on Chicago's unforgiving south side, "back of the stockyards," as they say, although the cattle have long-since gone. In the first episode, a properly burly Chicago police officer deposits Frank on his entryway floor, noting his incontinence and suggesting, "I wouldn't put him anywhere near a carpet until his pants dry." This ain't no Wisteria Lane. Adapted from its British companion, the American version of "Shameless" fulfils producer John Wells's long-standing desire "to make a television show where familial love, juicy cursing, casual sex and drug use, bluntly put humor, mega-alcohol bingeing and total chaos reign." The subject matter and setting naturally lend themselves to that treatment, and the entire casts rises to the occasion. "Shameless" depicts abject poverty, incurable alcoholism, and hopeless co-dependence as grimly and accurately as they deserve, yet it still persuades slightly spellbound viewers the Gallaghers genuinely love one another.

When it comes to work Travis and Wes are the best cops you've ever seen in the real life. But their relationship with each other looks like a nightmare. No, they don't hate each other and if it would be necessary they likely took a bullet for one another. The problem is, they just can't get along. That's why Captain Sutton their boss sends them to couple therapy to Dr. Ryan with whom he had positive experience in some similar case. At the same time Wes and Travis are attempting to solve the murder mystery that somehow connected with all the stuff revolving around their group therapy making the series's plot more twisted and complicated. The chemistry between two actors adds more spiciness to overall TV show's performance. Travis Marks is portrayed by Michael Ealy who played in Think Like a Man as Dominic and Detective Sebastian in vampire-themed movie Underworld: Awakening. You've probably noticed him in Californication series as Ben. Another cop, Wes Mitchell, is Warren Kole, a quite demanded actor in Hollywood television series industry. His portfolio includes: The Chicago Code, Rizzoli & Isles, Mental (as Rylan Moore) and 24 (Brian Gedge). He also has been seen as Carrier BridgeTechs in action-packed movie The Avengers. Another noticeable person in Common Law is Captain Mike Sutton played by Jack McGee who was acting in Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad which was filmed at the same time. Before Common Law, Jack McGee also remarkably played in numerous TV shows and movies like Rescue Me, Brotherhood, Criminal Minds, Players, New Year's Eve, etc. Dr. Elise Ryan (who is trying to help Travis and Wes find a peace with each other) is portrayed by Sonya Walger, cute Hollywood TV series superstar with a long listed filmography: FlashForward, In Treatment, Lost and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

When Sasha Paley wrote her "young adult novel" about weight problems that are all too common in today's youth, she could have more than likely foreseen the popularity of a television series based on the concept. It is an enormous problem for many young people today and by addressing it within the context of a popular TV program it will be seen by many and perhaps help some who are struggling with their weight. A summer camp dedicated to weight loss, Camp Victory is the destination for the cast of "chubbies" determined to lose weight and become healthier along the way to becoming popular in school. Written capably by Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life) and her daughter Savannah Dooley, the cast includes Nikki Blonsky playing Willamena, filled with resentment for being sent to "fat camp" by her parents, Hayley Hasselhoff is Amber, thinner and prettier than the rest but lacking self-confidence, and Raven Goodwin who plays Becca, bookworm who is painfully shy and becomes fast friend with Willamena. Good writing and a talented cast make this semi reality show well worth watching.
