Nicholas Sparks wrote the book as a romantic novel which is what he does best. Then it became a major motion picture with a great cast and came to life on the big screen. As a story idea it may seem a bit predictable but it works well on a sentimental level. When a U.S. Marine Sergeant has completed his third tour in Iraq he is determined to find a woman in a photo. Zac Efron (Charlie St. Cloud, 17 Again) is Sgt Logan Thibault, a man on a mission who found a photograph of a beautiful young woman in the sand back in Iraq and believes she was a good luck charm, helping him survive the war.hibault walks from Colorado to North Carolina to find his destiny and meet this woman (Beth Clayton) who has no idea who he is or why he's so interested in her. Taylor Schilling (Mercy, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade) plays Clayton, Blythe Danner (The Lightkeepers, Little Fockers) is Nana, Jay Ferguson (Mad Men, Burn Notice) is Keith Clayton. Thoroughly entertaining and heart warming tale of a love connection."

A murder ring, consisting of four Southern Australian men, were convicted of murdering at least twelve people between 1991 and 1999. They used knives, rope, as well as a double barreled shotgun to kill then sawed some bodies up, stuffed them into barrels and added acid to dissolve the evidence. It's difficult to imagine a more heinous group of humans who tortured and then killed others for their social security and pension money or simply because they didn't like their way of life. Some of the victims were apparently gay or obese or even drug users and were known by their murderers. Most of the bodies were stored in an old bank building in Snowtown and a few more were found buried in a Salibury North backyard. John Justin Bunting, a psychopathic killer, was the apparent leader of the group and has been sentenced to multiple life terms. The other members of the "death squad" include Robert Joe Wagner who allowed Bunting to talk him into participating in the murder spree. Also Mark Ray Haydon, who helped dispose of the bodies and James Spyridon Vlassakis who, along with his half brother and his mother, were found guilty of torturing and murdering several of the victims. The film is made even more gruesome by the fact it is based on fact!
Superstar Madonna apparently is in love with stories involving royalty and scandal and when the two combine in real life that always makes for an interesting telling, even if can only be whispered about as was the case way back when in 1936. King Edward VIII was the reigning King of England when he fell in love with Wallis Simpson, an American divorcee. He even gave up his throne for love when their affair became known to the public. Although Madonna has received plenty of scathing reviews for her directing of W.E., she apparently had enough happy critics to warrant such comments as "better than expected". In other words, the "Like a Virgin" star was bound to be poorly received no matter how good her efforts. ally Winthrop finds herself obsessed by the romance of the century and now, six decades later, she researches the ill-fated romance between a commoner and British royalty and the film flashes back and forth between decades through visits to the famous Sotheby's auction house. Starring Abbie Cornish (Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Bright Star) is Wally Winthrop, Andrea Riseborough (Made in Dagenham, Never Let Me Go) portrays Wallis Simpson, and as King Edward VIII James D'Arcy from Into The Storm, An American Haunting. Consider this a period piece that's also a costume piece with style and flair!
Generally movies based on real life events are well worth watching, if for no other reason than to revisit events we've read about in the news. This story is no exception and in fact is uplifting and emotionally entertaining as well. The Vow involves a promise kept when Paige and her husband Leo are involved in a car accident. While he sits by her bedside as she recovers from her injuries and a coma, we learn how strong their love is as she struggles to regain her memory and her identity. Paige has no recollection of Leo or the fact they were recently married so it might be a while before she is willing to be close to him again.tarring Rachel McAdams (State of Play, The Family Stone) as Paige, Channing Tatum (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Dear John) plays her husband Leo, and Scott Speedman (Dark Blue, The Strangers) is Jeremy. Also starring in The Vow are Sam Neill, Jessica Lange, and Jessica McNamee. Uplifting and heartwarming, The Vow is about true love and commitment."
It should come as no surprise that if something is financially successful it will be repeated. That is especially true with feature films.
