With a stellar cast and direction by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, American Gangster) this science fiction film takes the audience on a trip with the spaceship's crew of the late 21st century to find the origin of humanity as we know it. The civilization of an advanced extra terrestrial race is the subject of interest that this team of scientists and archeologists investigates when they reach a distant planet. s a tribute or just to emulate the scene from Alien the crew are in suspended animation and have been for the past five years before Mudow (Kate Dickie from The Harvest, He Kills Coppers) a first officer rehabilitates the crew members physically. Ridley Scott himself said that Prometheus shares some "strands of DNA" with Alien but is another story entirely. oomi Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Beyond) stars as Elizabeth Shaw who is a scientist and archeologist who becomes somewhat of a warrior during the film. Other crewmembers include David (Michael Fassbender from Inglorious Bastards, Blood Creek), Guy Pearce (The King's Speech, The Hurt Locker) is Stannison, and Charlize Theron (Sleepwalking, The Italian Job) plays the part of Meeredith Vickers, corporate figurehead who is "somewhat of a villain" who slowly changes her skin throughout the film. Prometheus is a totally engrossing film from start to end.

This time around we appreciate the horror of Resident Evil in 3D and for the fifth time are scared nearly out of our wits by some great writing and superb acting that is not all that common in the horror genre of films. Maybe that is why we now are treated by a fifth installment of this popular and exciting film. Directed by as well as written by Paul Anderson, this is Anderson's third time up to bat and his experience is deep into the shaping of each character into what he wants of them. We find many returning actors playing their characters once again along with some new ones that transferred over from the video game versions.nce again Alice (Milla Jovovich from all five Resident Evil movies plus The Fourth Kind) is captured by the evil Umbrella. We find out more about her complicated past as she continues her quest for the ones who are at fault for the outbreak. Also returning as Jill Valentine is Sienna Guillory (Silence Becomes You), and Oded Fehr (TV's Covert Affairs) as Carlos Olivera who now returns as two different and opposing characters. Who says sequels never equal the original have yet to see Resident Evil: Retribution.

A film dealing with the music industry as deeply as Rock of Ages is worth the watching to listen to all that great music if nothing else. This film also has a stellar cast and some great inside info (make that gossip) dealing with Los Angles in 1987. We meet a couple, Sherrie and Drew, whose romance will be faced by a set of challenges when they meet and discover love at first sight for both of them. Drew Boley is played by Diego Boneta (90210, Pretty Little Liars), Sherrie Christian played by Julianne Hough (Burlesque, Footloose 2011), Tom Cruise (Top Gun, Mission Impossible series) is Stacee Jaxx. Alec Baldwin (Running With Scissors, TV series 30 Rock) is Dennis Dupree. Julianne Hough is multi-talented and also a celebrity dance star from the TV program Dancing With the Stars.ased on a 2005 Los Angeles play Rock of Ages moved on to become a successful Broadway play in 2009. The movie is enjoyable because of the great musical numbers and lots of dancing and singing plus some excellent acting from the cast.

Well known syndicated radio morning talk show host, Steve Harvey wrote a book titled "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man" and it had serious repercussions when four men conspired to get even with their respective women after discovering their ladies have been using the advice given in Harvey's book against them in their relationships. Men seem to forever be in the "fixing" business and don't talk about their issues where as women want to talk it out, and talk some more. This movie is about why the independent spirit in women must be reconnected with the "girl" in each of them so they can make the men in their lives feel necessary. And about talking too much! Men are action oriented and "doers" while women tend to over analyze the details. Armed with plenty of advice from Steve Harvey's book, the women "guide" their men-folk into doing what they should have done to begin with. This forth film starring the funny and reverent Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) is also directed by him and tells a tale of oppression in a third world country. He states the Dictator, General Admiral Alladeen only wishes to ensure democracy is never seen in his country, the country he oppresses so lovingly. There are similarities to Saddam Hussein as well as Muammar Gaddafi throughout the film and we also get to see his "all female security force" in action. The movie starts out with film clips being viewed depicting Barack Obama along with David Cameron that include excerpts of some speeches that include condemnation of Hussein due to his actions and activities during the Libyan Civil War leading up to his ouster from power.lso starring is this comedy with some interesting dialog are Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Schindler's List) who is head of security as well as "procurer of the women" for the Dictator. Anna Faris (What's Your Number?, Brokeback Mountain) is the romantic interest for The Dictator who also teaches him alternative methods of "dictating" to his constituents.

When a group of retirees from the UK decide they might want to retire to someplace exotic that has a lower cost of living for those on a fixed income they decide on India and find the Marigold Hotel just what they think they're looking for. Ads depicting a newly restore luxury hotel draw these older folks who seek a life filled with leisure and lazy living and when they arrive are sorely disappointed to find the "restored" hotel is in shambles. But they soon discover love and life can begin all over again for them after shedding the hackles of their past and simply moving on with their lives.he notable cast includes Maggie Smith (The Harry Potter series of films, Nanny McPhee Returns) is Muriel, Bill Nighy (Wild Target, Valkyrie) is Douglas, Judi Dench (Jane Eyre, Quantum of Solace) plays Evelyn, and Tom Wilkinson (The Green Hornet, Valkyrie) is Graham. This film may be considered a cautionary tale about expecting too much or just a good example of the best in British acting talents put to work in their senior years.

In Good Deeds which is his 10th time up to bat as director, Tyler Perry puts his all into the movie by also writing and producing as well as starring in it. Considered a heart warming romantic drama Wesley Deeds (Tyler Perry) falls for a young woman who cleans offices in the building he works in. he building cleaning lady is Lindsey Wakefield (Thandie Newton from The Pursuit of Happyness, For Colored Girls) who's a hard luck single mom just trying to make ends meet. When Deeds finds himself falling for her it jeopardizes his impending marriage to his fiancé, the wealthy Natalie (Gabrielle Union from TV's Ugly Betty and Life).hile Wesley Deeds finds his life is uncomplicated and planned out future ahead of him looking bright he now must choose between his soon to be bride and the exciting new woman that came into his life. He is about to assume the lead position in his father's business and settle down for the remainder of his well planned out future but can he overcome the desires of his heart? Movie sequels generally bring back the original cast for yet another series of conflicts and G.I. Joe: Retaliation is no different with the exception of the writers. This sequel is penned by Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese and Jon Chu replaces Stephen Sommers in the director's chair. Joe: The Rise of Cobra from 2009, the sci fi flick is based on the original G.I. Joe toys and comic books many grew up enjoying for generations. Plenty of fast action, shooting, and mayhem will keep audiences of all ages on the edge of their seats. The first film grossed well over $300 million world wide so this one is expected to do at least as well. Even though critics were negative about the first one, the audiences came back again and again to watch the action packed movie.
