Based on a comic book series The Adventures of Tintin, and filmed in animated 3D, they've taken the story from three in the series, The Crab with the Golden Claws, Red Rackham's timely Treasure, and The Secret of the Unicorn.oices are provided by Jamie Bell (King Kong, Flags of our Fathers) as the comic strip character Tintin, Daniel Craig (Cowboys & Aliens, Quantum of Solace) gives voice to Red Rackham, and Simon Pegg (Star Trek (2009), Mission Impossible: III). Maybe the biggest roadblock to remaking such a venerable musical classic is found in the music. Updating those rock and roll classics with more modern day tunes will be risky. And those memorable characters are a challenge. Ren McCormack is now played by a young dancer named Kenny Wormald (from MTV's Dancelife and Center Stage: Turn it up). And the beautiful Ariel Moore is now played by gorgeous Julianne Hough of Dancing With the Stars professional performer credit. Her father, the Reverend Shaw Moore is now portrayed by Dennis Quaid (Great Balls of Fire, Enemy Mine) and his wife, Vi is played by the beautiful Andie McDowell (Sex, Lies, and Video Tape, Four Weddings and a Funeral). his is an updated version that holds true to the original in almost every aspect, even the music. Songs like "Let's Hear it for the Boy" have somewhat of a southern texture now that the film is set in Beaumont, Tennessee instead of Beaumont, Utah. The Chattahoochee River's bridge is the scene for that memorable game of "chicken" between Ariel's two love interests now that Ren has moved to town. Look for plenty of action and some great music.
This sequel takes place eight years after the original, Johnny English. We find that the hero of the first go around has been in hiding somewhere in Tibet, living in a cave. Now low in the morale department, Johnny is called on for another dangerous mission, one which causes him to save a Chinese Premier from assassins in hopes of keeping China on the side of good even as some Southeast Asian rogues begin developing nuclear weapons.ohnny English once again stars Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean's Vacation, Love Actually) in the lead role and he is joined by Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, The Last King of Scotland) as Pamela Head, M17 Agent, Dominic West (Jackboots on Whitehall, From Time to Time) as Simon Ambrose, and Richard Schiff (The West Wing, Criminal Minds: Suspicious Behavior). A British comedy action film, Johnny English Reborn pokes fun at the James Bond character and makes for a fun and entertaining film for all ages.
A successful movie often brings about a sequel and this is no exception. Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris (son of Richard Harris) is the adversary and arch nemesis of Holmes and Watson who is continually devising plots and trying to outwit the famous detective. s with the first film, this one is full of comedy and action adventure while the story idea is reportedly taken from "The Final Problem" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and takes place one year after the conclusion of the first Sherlock Holmes movie. This film is not considered a sequel as it does not require prior knowledge of the first one. Sherlock Holmes older brother, Mycroft Holmes (played by Stephen Fry) is along to help this time.
