Take an inept college student (who's been suspended) and coax him into babysitting the children next door, even though he has no clue as to what to do with them. Who wouldn't want him for a sitter? Jonah Hill (How to Train Your Dragon, Reno 911!) is Noah Jaybird, a babysitter in training who takes on the challenge of handling these monstrous children of neighbor Mrs. Pedulla for just one night.ou know how everything goes wrong no matter how good you try to be? That's happening for Noah on this night as he's invited to a party with the intention of having sex with his dream girl, Stephanie (Dreama Walker from Gossip Girl, The Good Wife). Then he scares the kids off when a couple of psychopathic druggies take him on a wild chase all around the town. ids are capably played by the studious and serious Slater (played by Max Records of Where The Wild Things Are), Kevin Hernandez plays Rodrigo a foreign exchange student living with the Pedulla's, and the wild child of the family Blithe (Landry Bender). It's a rather dark comedy due to not too bright actions of the sitter (obtaining drugs so his girlfriend can get high).
While three friends compete to see who can observe the most bird species in North America. Bird Watchers aren't generally so competitive but this trio take on challenges just for the fun of it and the opportunity to "one up" each other. In the meantime viewers can see some great scenery and learn, at least a little, about birds and bird watching. teve Martin is having a late in life crisis while Owen Wilson and Jack Black each have mid life crisis issues or no life at all issues so each has their own demons to face when they come to a crossroads in their lives. Stu (Steve Martin from Grand Canyon, L.A. Story) is the most dedicated of bird watchers and makes this competition bigger than it needs to be. Jack Black (Gulliver's Travels, Tropic Thunder) is Brad Harris, who should be voted most likely to succeed in his no life crisis. Owen Wilson (Zoolander, Marley & Me) has his own demons to fight with his mid life crisis problems. Also look for the very talented Rashida Jones as Carol and Anjelica Huston as Debi Shearwater.
This "based on a true story" film has those under utilized yet over trained Tuskegee flyboys chomping at the bit (or pilot's stick) to go on a mission and prove themselves air worthy. They have nothing better to do than practice their flying skills with their airplanes identified by their painted Red Tails while white pilots are sent out into the field of battle after a mere three months of training and it shows! Finally the powers that be in the Pentagon decide to direct the elite black group of pilots to do World War II battles with Germany.ot only have the Tuskegee Airmen been left to languor on the sidelines, they have to face racial discrimination at every turn while in the military and at home, so they are more than ready to prove themselves worthy. And they most definitely do!ritten by John Ridley and George Lucas, Red Tails stars Cuba Gooding, Jr. (Jerry Maguire, American Gangster) as Major Emmanuelle Stance, Nate Parker (Pride, Tunnel Rats) is ace pilot Martin "Easy" Julian, and Terrence Howard (Pride, Iron Man) is Col. AJ Bullard. Top acting and plenty of aerial action!
Based on factual events this film pits a pair of young enthusiastic attorneys against the established big money of the pharmaceutical industry. When an ER nurse is accidently pricked when handling a contaminated needle, the law firm which handles personal injury claims becomes involved. Mike Weiss, who is played by Chris Evans (Street Kings, Push), is young and dedicated even though he also happens to be a drug addict works for a Houston law firm that's main specialty is handling personal injury claims. His partner Paul Danziger (Mark Kassen of Bernard and Doris, The Sasquatch Gang) who also directs Puncture also works what could be their case of a lifetime. They take on the case involving a hospital ER nurse named Vicky (Vinessa Shaw from Two Lovers, Stag Night) who accidently stuck herself with a syringe. Seems the big drug companies prevent the use of safer syringes to ward off such accidents happening. They seem willing to risk permanent and sometimes fatal results without consideration for others.ach year millions risk infection and contamination by such diseases as Hepatitis C and even HIV when accidental pricks occur. This time around there are two young lawyers who care enough to pursue it to a settlement even though it stretches their law firms business to near collapse. This even takes on international proportions because of the millions who die each year in Africa due to faulty syringes.

Teamed up with a young agent with the FBI Ben Geary (Topher Grace from Take Me Home Tonight, Predators) who has studied Shepherdson and his career for a Master Thesis and seems to know the man as well as anyone could. Martin Sheen (The West Wing, Apocalypse Now).artin Sheen is Tom Highland, CIA director and friend of Gere's Shepherdson who may be more involved than the movie displays in the beginning. Watch for Sheen's character to throw some surprised into the mix.

Being idealistic and trying to exist in the world of high level politics simply do not play well together in the real world. Politicians tend to have their own agenda and become cynical in order to survive. Young staffers who come onboard a campaign with seasoned front runners will soon find out just what it takes to win. This is a modern day version of the way politics is conducted with all of its good and bad sides given equal time, and the timing could not be better. he candidate is Democratic Presidential contender Mike Morris, portrayed by George Clooney (The Perfect Storm, The Men Who Stare at Goats) who is also writer and director of The Ides of March. yan Gosling (Crazy Stupid Love, All Good Things) is Stephen Myers, young and ambitious mastermind of the Morris campaign. aul Giamatti (Cinderella Man, Sideways) is the rival competition campaign manager, Tom Duffy.scar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman is Paul Zara, mentor and campaign manager to Presidential contender Mike Morris.his film provides an interesting and mostly realistic portrayal of insider politics when the real thing is fast approaching us.
Hunter S. Thompson wrote the book The Rum Diary back in 1961 when he knew very well what the demon rum was all about. Even the screenplay writer/director, Bruce Robinson was familiar with boozing being had sworn off alcohol over six years before but went back to it just to finish the screenplay that writer's block was keeping him from completing. That's dedication! ohnny Depp (Ed Wood, Donnie Brasco) is freelance journalist Paul Kemp, himself one of those lost souls he writes about. Determined to self destruct it's obvious this rag tag bunch of humanities leftovers just seem to drink their lives away. But Kemp falls for a woman that brightens up his days. Chenault is played by Amber Heard (Pineapple Express, Zombieland) and is Kemp's obsession as he drinks his days away in Puerto Rico.hat makes a movie about drunks and their ability to consume volumes of fermented sugarcane (rum) interesting? It's about the lost souls that seem to have given up on life and what they leave behind, like lovers, families, and life they're afraid to face. And Thompson's writing makes it all seem to work perhaps because The Rum Diary is about his life...
One thing those involved agreed upon was they did not want to simply remake a great spooky classic like 1982's The Thing by John Carpenter or even its predecessor The Thing From Another World from 1951. We don't need to remake classics like Jaws or The Exorcist and The Thing is another that is better off leaving intact as it was so perfectly done initially. But this is more a prequel and as such does not step on the original. This story involves the same characters but with a somewhat different timeline and plot because these are the same ones already dead when the original movie began. Now we learn their side of the rather spooky story about the wolf like apparition that consumes its prey then assumes their identity completely.tarring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard, Make it Happen) as Kate Lloyd, a paleontologist who joins up with the Norwegian team of scientists who happened to stumble upon an extraterrestrial space ship that's crash landed in Antarctica. The pilot, Carter, who is played by Joel Edgerton from Separation City, Smokin' Aces teams with the crew to stop the alien creature that assumes the form of anything it eats and then becomes them to fool humans and take over. This is what "could have happened" if the 1982 version took another path and one of the best non-remakes to come along in a while.
