Wuthering Heights (2026)

West Side Story is a musical drama film released in 2021, directed by Steven Spielberg. The movie is a modern adaptation of the original 1957 Broadway musical of the same name, which was inspired by William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet.

Safe Haven of 2013 is loosely based on the Nicholas Sparks' best-selling novel of 2011 with same name. The movie's storyline winds around private life of Katie Feldman and her past's dark secrets. Movie starts with scenes where we see Katie - she is settling in a small touristic town Southport, located near Cape Fear (North Carolina). Being a gorgeous, lighthearted young woman, she works as a waitress in one of the local restaurants. Everything looks fine and her life is passing in calm and friendly neighborhood, but as soon as film scenes go, we notice that Katie has to cope with some problems originating from her shady past. It comes absolutely clear that something was wrong in her "previous life" when a local store owner Alex Wheatley tries to build relationships with her. Katie withdraws into herself, although it becomes clear that she has similar feeling towards Alex. Why she keep her heart locked for a new love? It's a question that could be answered by some mysterious events living in Katie's past. The situation becomes more unstable when another man, Jo with enters her live with that sort of feelings. Now, Katie is faced some though choice, a widowed ex-army-mayor, Alex, a local dreamboat, Jo, and staying alone one-on-one with her past. Mostly targeted in woman audience, Safe Haven features not only typical Sparks' signature plot, but quite a decent ensemble cast: Katie Feldman is played by cute Julianne Hough (Sherrie Christian from Rock of Ages , Ariel from Footloose, and Georgia Burlesque), while Josh Duhamel portrays Alex Wheatley. We know Josh for his roles of Jeremy Coleman in Fire with Fire and Captain William Lennox in Transformers franchise.

(500) Days of Summer is not just a romantic comedy, it is what it should be, ideally, the unusual, even eccentric, and at the same time, air light. Moreover, this is a perfect romantic comedy of its time. It does not bore by a linear narrative, does not read the morals, and does not buried in the slop. Of course, we can say that the cartoon bird, The Graduate movie and The Seventh Seal parody is a somewhat wild combination, but generally it works in the film, the main idea of which is that "weather has no bad weather."

British novelist Jane Austen, who worked at the turn of the XVIII and XIX centuries, is still not only one of the most readable and filmed. Although the Pride and Prejudice is only the second version of the novel (the first one was filmed in the U.S. in 1940), but this essay appeared five times on the TV screen, and in addition a few times the plot of the first of the written works of Austin has been used in other films, including Bride and Prejudice and the two Bridget Jones's Diary movies. Easy A movie tells a story about teenage girl Olive Penderghast (played by Emma Stone), who lied to her friend that she has lost the virginity. But it was accidently heard by the other girl (a very puritan one) of the same age a then and very soon Olive had to regret about everything she said. Rumors spread rapidly and become negative. One lie pulls a second, a second follows by a third, and it seems, this chain will never end. Very quickly Olive becomes an outcast. The girl was not too popular even before because of its modesty and quiet nature. Now disregarding and contemptuous behavior of her peers has become simply unbearable. Nevertheless, her extraordinary sense of humor, wit and cheerful nature, sober look at the world alongside with absolute trust of the parents helps her to cope with a psychologically pressing situation.

Flipped is a very heart touching movie about first love, which passes through the maturing young girl, Juli. With the feelings shown from both sides: Juli's and her boyfriend's; you are enjoying the same moments but in the very different ways. A long time ago you may read the book on which movie was based, and is now time to redefine the memories. So different people have different feelings, growing up in different families and in general there is little in common. When you look at the situation on the one hand you see the motives of the hero, you hear his thoughts and everything becomes logical. But now, looking from the other side and it looks not so flawless. Flipped movie seemed to encourage people to put themselves in the place of another person. The film dealt with hard issues: children's feelings and family problems (both in poverty and in wealth). Sometimes you notice statements which, although simple, but nevertheless very valuable. Wonderful actors cast, very precise and well delivered all shades of feelings, emotions and transitions. The atmosphere of past years is greatly shown and fits the movie best.
