The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie was released in 2010, the year of "Ironman 2," "Harry Potter 7", and "Tron: Legacy". So, the producers and director of "Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader" clearly felt the pressure to deliver a visual masterpiece. Capitalizing on the special alchemy of 3D, they succeeded. "A painting engulfs Lucy and Edmund Pevensie and their cousin Eustace, taking them back to Narnia and stowing them away on sailing ship The Dawn Treader. The brave and somewhat precocious warriors battle a fierce collection of monsters and villains, resisting their own powerful temptations, as they join forces with Reepicheep, a warrior mouse, to save Narnia. The computer animators do so well with the Lion, the Mouse, and the fairy princess, viewers willingly suspend disbelief. Of course, a mouse can out-maneuver a chimera."The producers and director paid proper respect to C.S. Lewis, early twentieth century author and scholar, who penned the novel The Voyage of the Dawn Treader as one among his Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis, a leading authority on medieval quest romance, crafted his story according to the traditions and conventions of the hero's quest, and the movie wisely recreates his craftsmanship. The film-makers achieve an unlikely hybrid of medieval story and twenty-first century imagery. They left open the question, however: Would audiences overdosed on 3D graphics and epic adventures fill the seats for another one?

Movie sequels generally bring back the original cast for yet another series of conflicts and G.I. Joe: Retaliation is no different with the exception of the writers. This sequel is penned by Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese and Jon Chu replaces Stephen Sommers in the director's chair. Bruce Willis (Pulp Fiction, Die Hard series) is back as General "G.I. Joe" Joseph Colton, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (The Other Guys) now plays Roadblock, Channing Tatum (The Dilemma, Ten Year) returns as Duke, and Adrianne Palicki (Women in Trouble, Pop Star) joins in to portray Lady Jaye. s in the first film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra from 2009, the sci fi flick is based on the original G.I. Joe toys and comic books many grew up enjoying for generations. Plenty of fast action, shooting, and mayhem will keep audiences of all ages on the edge of their seats. The first film grossed well over $300 million world wide so this one is expected to do at least as well. Even though critics were negative about the first one, the audiences came back again and again to watch the action packed movie.

A tremendously successful book Cloud Atlas, which was written by British author David Mitchell in 2004, is laid in the basement of next brothers Wachowsky's movie Cloud Atlas. Of course, no one has expected that Matrix's creators will film something small, but it seems like Cloud Atlas outperformed any possible expectation. The film is so advanced in the meaning of CGI graphics and complicity of the twisted plot that it's undoubtedly destined to become another milestone in cinema industry alongside with The Matrix and Avatar. The movie consists of six stories nailed on each other in some weird way. All of the showcased stories are suddenly interrupting at some point except the last one. The first story begins in 1850 on a frigate sailing across the Pacific Ocean; this story is read by the character of the next story as a diary in 1931 which story is read in letters by Luisa Rey a journalist California, 1975 who writes a manuscript for the novel which is read by Timothy Cavendish, in 21th century UK which story was laid in the center of documentary movie which is watched by Sonmi~451, a genetically-engineered clone in not so distant future who rises a rebellion against totalitarian regime which is lead to "The Fall", an apocalypses which destroys a civilization and forms a tribal societies on Earth. One of the tribesman watches a Sonmi~451's story as holographic movie on his "Orison" device. All the six stories which are nested in the film look like seamlessly connected with each other in the way we did not realize until the movie reaches its turning point, and then we travel back in time from story to story completing them in reverse order and realizing that "Everything is connected".

If nothing else, "Tron: Legacy" is another masterpiece of Disney marketing. Released during the 2010 holiday season, "Tron: Legacy" comes with video game sold separately, and Academy Award winner built-in. Jeff Bridges stars as Kevin Flynn, video-game developer who mysteriously disappeared twenty years ago. The studio's logline reads, "An ambitious hacker transports himself into cyberspace to pull off the ultimate hack." Translation: Garrett Hedlund plays Sam Flynn who jumps into his father's video game universe to rescue him. Identifying with the movie's heroes, avid gamers report, "They created this kind of seamless line between the game and the movie."""Tron: Legacy" is visually stunning. Recent advances in CGI enable the characters, weapons, and landscape to radiate off the screen and envelope the audience. The battles live up to their "epic" billing. Just as importantly, Olivia Wilde brilliantly plays fearless warrior Quorra, who leads dad and kid on their perilous journey across the world dad created. Beau Garrett, a frequent Olivia Wilde screen partner, plays Siren Jem, the perfect foil to Quorra.

This time around we appreciate the horror of Resident Evil in 3D and for the fifth time are scared nearly out of our wits by some great writing and superb acting that is not all that common in the horror genre of films. Maybe that is why we now are treated by a fifth installment of this popular and exciting film. Directed by as well as written by Paul Anderson, this is Anderson's third time up to bat and his experience is deep into the shaping of each character into what he wants of them. We find many returning actors playing their characters once again along with some new ones that transferred over from the video game versions.nce again Alice (Milla Jovovich from all five Resident Evil movies plus The Fourth Kind) is captured by the evil Umbrella. We find out more about her complicated past as she continues her quest for the ones who are at fault for the outbreak. Also returning as Jill Valentine is Sienna Guillory (Silence Becomes You), and Oded Fehr (TV's Covert Affairs) as Carlos Olivera who now returns as two different and opposing characters. Who says sequels never equal the original have yet to see Resident Evil: Retribution.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you travel back in time and kill your grandmother before she will give you the birth? Right, you will never be born. That means you will never travel back in time and never will kill you grandmother. That's called "Time Paradox" or "Grandfather Paradox". There are lots of theories explicating why the paradox can be avoided. By the way there is quite exotic one: "Can-Not Because Has-Not" that presumes that no one has invented the time machine in the future, because if it'll happen we have had already knew this due to existence of arriving time travelers from the future. But how it is connected with Looper, the movie filmed by Rian Johnson in 2012? The answer is: very straight. In not-so-near future, in the year 2042, a mob hitman makes money by successfully assassinating human targets arriving from more distant future. Everything goes smoothly before he receives the new target: himself arriving from 2072… Now you understand why we had to begin with "Time Paradox". However, such a twisted storyline is only one crucial driving force of Looper. The brilliant cast is the second. A mob killer, Joe, is portrayed by two actors, and each of them is a big name in Hollywood scoreboard. The younger version of Joe is represented by Joseph Gordon-Levitt while the older one is played by Bruce Willis. If such a star cast, picturing one only character is not enough for you, we are glad to let you know about other names: Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau, Young Victoria) Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs , Ashes, Carriers ) and Paul Dano (Being Flynn, Cowboys & Aliens).
