With a stellar cast and direction by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, American Gangster) this science fiction film takes the audience on a trip with the spaceship's crew of the late 21st century to find the origin of humanity as we know it. The civilization of an advanced extra terrestrial race is the subject of interest that this team of scientists and archeologists investigates when they reach a distant planet. s a tribute or just to emulate the scene from Alien the crew are in suspended animation and have been for the past five years before Mudow (Kate Dickie from The Harvest, He Kills Coppers) a first officer rehabilitates the crew members physically. Ridley Scott himself said that Prometheus shares some "strands of DNA" with Alien but is another story entirely. oomi Rapace (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, Beyond) stars as Elizabeth Shaw who is a scientist and archeologist who becomes somewhat of a warrior during the film. Other crewmembers include David (Michael Fassbender from Inglorious Bastards, Blood Creek), Guy Pearce (The King's Speech, The Hurt Locker) is Stannison, and Charlize Theron (Sleepwalking, The Italian Job) plays the part of Meeredith Vickers, corporate figurehead who is "somewhat of a villain" who slowly changes her skin throughout the film. Prometheus is a totally engrossing film from start to end.

As a ghost, Sam discovers a plot to harm Molly and must find a way to protect her from beyond the grave.

The trailer-teasers for Super 8 inspire millions more questions than they answer, but they do give lots of proof the "old Spielberg magic" is on the comeback trail. Super 8's characters, suspense, and imagery strongly remind veteran dreamworkers of ET and Jurassic Park—strangely scary yet still kid-friendly. For all that they tantalize, though, the Super 8 trailers preserve the film's secrets. The State Department and CIA should study in the J.J. Abrams School of Secret-Keeping; even the WikiLeaks guys would struggle to dig up much more than the trailer's suggestion that a bunch of cute and cool kids have to deal with an "unknown incredible creature." All we really know is that, in the small Ohio town, just about everything that can blow up will blow up. Oh yeah, and we know the kids will film everything on their super-8 movie camera."Super 8 may go into Hollywood history as the movie with sibling rivalry in the sub-text. Elle Fanning, Dakota's younger sister, and Amanda Michalka, Allyson's sister, come out of the big kids' shadows and into their own, proving they have talent and skills. The big kids should feel very afraid. Gabriel Basso, the one child star without famous siblings but who may be a direct descendant of Tom Sawyer, continues the tradition of impish, resourceful Spielberg boy-heroes. Kyle Chandler, uber-dad from "Friday Night Lights," brings that same manly command to Super 8, reassuring everyone that everything will be okay.

John Carter is an epic hero from novels written by Edgar Rice Burroughs, one of the most beloved and prolific writers of the 20th Century. This movie version has John Carter being transported to what is called Barsoom or Mars and entering conflicts between the planet's nations. There he encounters leaders Tars Tarkas as well as Princess Dejah Thoris as he attempts to save the people of Barsoom. Based on the novel titled A Princess of Mars, John Carter was first published as a serial in magazines back in 1912 before becoming a novel. The lead character, Carter, is a veteran of the Civil War in America and while on Mars he encounters huge green barbarians who are twelve feet tall with six limbs and long dangerous tusks. It is a world that is difficult to survive in and Carter must fight his way back home again if he can.aylor Kitsch of the TV series Friday Night Lights stars as John Carter, Willem Dafoe (Daybreakers, Spider-Man 3) is Tars Tarkas, and Princess Dejah Thoris is played by Lynn Collins (True Blood, Haunted).

"The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" is a 2007 fantasy-adventure film directed by Jay Russell and based on a novel by Dick King-Smith. The movie is set in Scotland during World War II and follows the story of a young boy named Angus who discovers a mysterious egg while walking along the beach. The egg hatches into a sea creature that Angus names Crusoe and raises in secret with the help of his sister and a hired hand. However, as Crusoe grows larger and becomes more difficult to keep hidden, Angus and his friends must find a way to release him back into the sea without getting caught by the authorities who are searching for a monster that they believe is a threat to national security.
