After a hiatus of several years Fear Factor is back bigger and more daring than ever before. Reality shows are so popular today, mainly because they give viewers a glimpse into lives of real people who are living real events most of us seldom encounter (or would ever choose to). With a theme similar to the enormously popular Survivor, Fear Factor makes reality stars out of everyday people who can stand the test of some pretty dangerous stunts and dares when they compete against one another for a monetary reward. The prize of $50,000 is a big incentive and one that makes otherwise sensible folks take risks most of us are barely able to watch! Now there are four teams, each consisting of two people to a team who have been involved in some previous relationship with each other. Not being able to complete a stunt spells elimination and as host Joe Rogan says in a disclaimer "The stunts were supervised and designed by professionals! They're extremely dangerous & shouldn't be attempted by anyone at any time or anywhere!"

The Curse of Oak Island is a reality television show that airs on the History Channel. The show follows brothers Rick and Marty Lagina as they try to uncover the secrets of Oak Island, a small island off the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. The island has a long history of treasure hunting, dating back to the late 1700s, when legends of buried pirate treasure began to circulate. Despite many attempts over the years, no one has been able to locate any significant treasure on the island.

As if anyone needs to be reminded, we love our fighting men (and women) and cannot wait for them to return home to us. This latest reality type show presented on the Lifetime Network could be considered a reality tearjerker because there are many crying children and adults involved. But these are all tears of joy because their loved ones have returned safely from active duty in the military. Whether they served in Afghanistan or Iraq, all they really want to do is return home safely and see their family again. Children miss their daddy or mommy and emotions run high in anticipation of their safe return. Now take those tender moments and put them onto the television screen before millions of viewers and you can see where this idea may get really personal. It's almost amazing how many of these veterans opt to put their family through the emotional intensity of their sudden arrival. The Celebrity Apprentice 3 (The Apprentice 9) is the reality television show - the ninth installment of the United States version of The Apprentice. The Apprentice show depicted 16 contestants from around the country with various backgrounds competing in an elimination-style competition to become an apprentice to Donald Trump. The winning contestant would have the opportunity to work for Trump as the president of one of his companies for at least one year with an annual salary of $250,000.

What happens if you hybridize The Amazing Race and Top Chef? There are two possible answers: "nothing good" and "Around The World in 80 Plates". And you know, both of them are true. But, please, don't get us wrong. It's not just another Bravo's disastrous TV show; it's just a cooking reality show, which is not about the cooking. How is it possible? With ease, here we have to lift the curtain off the series' plot. First of all, you have to imagine three clueless chefs walking down the streets of London, doing the classic "pub crawl" and pretending the "drunk Americans". It's pathetic scene, you know. But who are those unfortunate souls? Meet Keven Lee, or how he calls himself Cheven (mix of Chef and Kevin). He represents one of the endangered species of Hollywood private chefs. The next one is Chazz, his real name Chaz Brown from Voorhees, New Jersey, who is repeatedly semi-shocking us with his British accent, that's why it would be better if he kept silence all the show long. Our list would not be completed if we haven't mentioned the Tex-Mex half-naked chief Sai Pituk from Texas, who surprisingly said the she cooks Asian cuisine only. There are another nine contestants participating, that makes total twelve. The television show is divided into two parts. In the first part all of the participants are performing something like scavenger hunt in the uncommon environment of foreign culinary culture (you have to ideate the picture of dozen Americans wander the rows of Borough market; it's must be funny, isn't it?). In the second part of each episode the contestants have to cook (finally!) the local dishes which their tasted in the first part, and as a bisque, the winning team (those who won the "scavenger hunt") gets one secret ingredient, which will be in great help in the "cooking" part. That is most amusing part of the "Around The World in 80 Plates" because judges are the locals, and you should see their faces when they taste black pudding hash cooked by Americans.
