Whether you are a comic book aficionado or not you might really enjoy watching Comic Book Men, American Movie Classics (AMC) venture into the world of "reality television". Host Kevin Smith, himself a popular director, writer, and actor in his films such as Clerks, Mallrats, and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back in which he usually plays the character of Silent Bob, is co-owner of the Secret Stash along with Walter Flanagan, Mike Zapcic, Bryan Johnson, and Ming Chen. An expert in the world of comic book collecting enters the store and help them rate and buy or turn down some comics brought in by clients. Rob "Jack's Guy" Bruce is an expert and considered a popculturist in the field. Modern comic books are far more than the "pulp fiction" of old and today they are highly collectable along with lots of movie memorabilia that many collect, such as autographs. Those who draw for the comic book industry are now held in high esteem, and even considered artists. We who love comics will appreciate the collectors that preserve them so we can still enjoy those 10c comics of long ago and the Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash in New Jersey is the place to find them.

With coaches rather than judges the theme is directed toward mentoring and giving advice from well known and highly respected people in the music world. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine will "coach" their contestants through the various processes involved. There will first be a blind audition in which only the contestant's voice is revealed to their coach/judge, next a "battle" phase in which the contestants (performing as teams) compete against one another as they sing the same song, and then they will be asked to perform their song on live television. It is in this final phase that the TV audience will participate and give their opinion as to which act is best. Competition is heald in eight US cities including, Nashville, New York, Miami, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Austin, and Minneapolis in addition to online auditions for a wide and varied selection of talented singers. When the teams are down to one member for each of the coaches they will compete in the finale and $100,000 prize. The Voice is an intriguing new concept in reality programming.

The popular reality series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills began its second season with a rush to re-edit some of the scenes already shot after the August 15, 2011 suicide of Russell, the husband of Taylor Armstrong. Taylor had previously accused her husband of physically abusing her and she since became an advocate for domestic violence victims and works with the Los Angeles based 1736 Family Crisis Center. Taylor Armstrong has been recently quoted as saying "I have finally found my voice, and now not afraid to use it". In a quote from season one of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she sounded a bit selfish when she said "It may look like I have it all, but I want more!" Her husband, Russell, was a venture capitalist and they were both heavily involved in philanthropy. Other returning members include Lisa Vanderpump, married to Ken Todd for the past 29 years and is now turned 50 years old (making her oldest housewife on the program). Owners of 26 restaurants, Lisa and Ken have both appeared on other TV programs such as Baywatch Nights and Silk Stalkings. Born and raised in Albuquerque Adrienne Maloof-Nassif was the daughter of a Coors distributor and later married cosmetic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif, now residing in Beverly Hills, California. Kim Richards and her sister Kyle Richards are aunts of Paris and Nicky Hilton through their sister Kathy and have had some experience in acting. They are both married and residing in Beverly Hills.

Ever since Candid Camera way back in TV show history there has been a wicked delight in watching ordinary people be caught up in pranks that wind up being out loud laughably funny. Shows such as Totally Hidden Video, TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes, Pranked, and Punk'd have each had something in common and that was to watch as ordinary people who do ordinary things can be extremely funny when things don't go just quite right. Betty White takes that brand of humor to another level when her crew of blue haired senior citizens turn the tables on much younger people. They play pranks on the young resilient generation and show they still have a broad sense of humor too. Starring and hosted by the venerable 90 year old Betty White who has seen her career blossom and her life become increasingly busy recently gives us the chance to laugh out loud at ourselves through the cameras provided by NBC. If the younger set were to play practical jokes on the seniors the show would lose much of its humor but in this case the senior citizens prevail. Also on Betty White's Off Their Rockers are Madison Dylan (Entourage, Accidentally on Purpose), Elizabeth Carlisle (Pretty Little Liars, Parenthood), Reatha Grey (Baby Boom, The Fabulous Baker Boys), and Ann Benson (A Little Push, Patrick Carman's Dark Eden).
