The "Brothers and Sisters" plot undoubtedly fits together for viewers who have remained faithful from the very first episode, in which William Walker, pater familiae and founder of Ojai Foods, drops dead. Kitty, his wife, mourns properly and just as properly takes charge as her grown children and their families gather around her. Mourning grows complicated as William Walker's deep-dark secrets come to life, and family life heats up as different family members cope with different secrets in different ways. From five family members come forty possible combinations and recombinations, and from those possibilities spring infinite plots"”even before writers and producers add significant others and children. "Brothers and Sisters" can hold its exalted Sunday night place indefinitely. Unlike some riveting family dramas, "Brothers and Sisters" does not show bitter, fierce, destructive sibling rivalry. For the most part, these big kids like one another, and their mother loves them all. Of course, one is an Afghan war veteran with a drug problem, and another is a gay lawyer, the favourite son and heir has both financial and marital difficulties, but the real odd-ball is the daughter who breaks the family's liberal tradition and takes-up with the likes of Ann Coulter and Mike Huckabee. Did we mention that "Brothers and Sisters" has the stuff to go on indefinitely?

Imagine! Once upon a time, Dr. McDreamy, star of "Grey's Anatomy" and a million women's fantasies, was uncomfortably married to Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh). Then, Dr. Montgomery proved complicated, compelling, and cute enough to warrant her own TV show"”"Private Practice." For a very little while, "Private Practice" TV series depended on viewers' basic understanding of "Grey's Anatomy," because it showed Dr. Montgomery, probably much better known simply as Addison, leaving Seattle Grace Hospital and joining the staff at Oceanside Wellness, a practice owned and operated by all of her old medical school buddies. A few of the early episodes depended on the good doctor's broken heart and separation anxiety for their drama and poignancy; after all, withdrawal from McDreamy takes its toll on a girl. But as "Private Practice" gained momentum and popularity, plots focused more and more on cases that challenge the doctors' ethics and skills. Despite her genius and surgical prowess, Dr. Montgomery suffers fierce bouts of self-doubt, making her accessible and an object of empathy for the show's predominantly female audience.

The O.C. was a popular American television drama series that aired from 2003 to 2007. It was set in Orange County, California and followed the lives of a group of wealthy teenagers and their families. The show tackled a variety of themes such as social class, relationships, and identity.

The Surgeon, one of a series of books written by Tess Gerritsen supplied the backstory for the hot new series on TNT named Rizzoli & Isles (after the two main characters in the book). Angie Harman (Baywatch Nights, Law & Order) is a homicide detective in Boston. She finds her life in danger in the first episode when a former medical student attempts to kill her as he has several other voluptuous women. The chief Medical examiner for the state of Massachusetts is Dr. Maura Isles, played by Sasha Alexander (NCIS, Dawson's Creek). Isles is a no nonsense woman dedicated to doing her job well and due to her profession those who know her tend to call her "Queen of the Dead". Rizzoli & Isles develop a good teamwork attitude and solve crimes each week but the one that haunts them both involves Charles Hoyt, a man who was expelled from med school for fondling the female corpses. Rizzoli has scars on her hands from a time when Hoyt stabbed them with scalpels, pinning her to the floor. Hoyt's role is a recurring one so watch for more of that vile character played well by Michael Massee, an actor who plays villains particularly well.

She uses her connections to help track down her son. Also starring are Cliff Curtis from Blow, The Piano as Dax Miller, a CIA agent, and Sean Bean from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and National Treasure is Paul Winstone, father of the young man who's gone missing.
