Sometimes "Bravo" serves-up high-quality instruction at least as powerfully as "The Learning Channel" and "National Geographic." Case in point: "Kell on Earth" reveals the ecology of New York's fashion industry, vividly illustrating the perilous lives of smaller fish on the couture food chain, and charting the symbiosis between design houses and the fashion press. The "Kell" in "Kell on Earth" refers to hyper-manic high-powered fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone, diva-dominatrix of public relations firm "People's Revolution." Although eponymous Kell gets the most air-time, "Kell on Earth" is not automatically all about her; instead, it shows the harried lives of second-tier stylists, public relations interns, and personal trainers who dwell near the bottom of New York's tumultuous, tempest-tossed fashion fishbowl. Observant viewers will note striking similarity between People's Revolution and Lauren Conrad's workplace on "The Hills" and "The City," which brought Cutrone into the public eye. Those same insightful viewers will see, however, that real-reality show "Kell on Earth" proves Cutrone's "little people" frequently sweat, swear, and stress, really working for their paychecks.

"A Million Little Things" is an American television drama series that premiered on ABC in 2018. More old-fashioned gumshoe than techie whiz-kid, Willows nevertheless guides her hyper-dedicated team with skill, style, and love. No more sophisticated than any other television crime drama, "CSI" nevertheless has owned its time slot since its debut, because its characters combine street-savvy toughness with genuine likability. And who can resist all those cool shots of bullets blasting through brain matter? Trivia devotees will note that songstress Taylor Swift made her critically acclaimed acting debut on "CSI," playing the a dark, troubled, and ultimately dead "goth" girl in search of love and understanding"”in other words, the diametric opposite of her authentic self.

Using state-of-the-art technology and amazing skill with make-up and costuming, Chance, the main character, becomes literally a human target. In each episode of "Human Target," Chance assumes the identity and everyday life of a prominent person in danger. Describing himself as an "extreme bodyguard," Chance uses his wits, skills, and wise-cracking bravado to turn serious danger into a trap for the villains. The sinister evil-doers plot kidnapping, blackmail, extortion, and especially death; the "human target" plots capture. Not the kind of thing for which an ordinary guy usually would volunteer. "Human Target" TV show was praised by the critics and audiences for the quality of the acting"”especially the performances by Earl Haley, Jr., which make a somewhat implausible premise absolutely believable and compelling. Because "Human Target," a decidedly out-of-the-box crime drama, is loosely based on the DC comic series of the same name, the creators have no shortage of bad guys, nor do they struggle to find quirky characters for Chance to impersonate. Critics and audiences agree that the actors playing the three main characters go a long way toward redeeming the show's average, sometimes genuinely awkward writing. They wonder, though, will the actors be able to hold the viewers' attention and loyalty long enough for the writing to fulfill the promise in the premise?

Haven't we all wondered if we had perhaps been switched at birth when we disagreed with our parents? Now how about if it turns out that the hospital actually did switch babies, purely by accident? And the families don't find out until the children are teenagers. Bay Kennish (played by Vanessa Marano from Without a Trace and the Gilmore Girls) has a high school project that includes learning about blood types and she inadvertently finds out her parents blood types do no match hers, showing she absolutely cannot be related to either of them. The family has their DNA tested and confirms the results Bay has come up with in school. Finding that the hospital made a huge error by mixing up the babies, they find the other child and discover how different her life is. Lea Thompson (Back to the Future Trilogy) is Bay's stay at home mom Kathryn and her father, John is played by D.W. Moffett (Friday Night Lights). Bay's new found sister is Daphne (Katie Leclerc from Veronica Mars) who unfortunately suffered deafness due to a case of meningitis as a young child. Daphne, her mother, and grandmother have a hard life and soon the Kennishes invite them to live in their guest house. Deaf actress Marlee Matlin also stars as friend of Daphne's mom, Regina.

In its first review of "Dexter TV show", the New York Times summarized, "[Dexter Morgan] kills people and cuts them up. But they deserve it. Besides, he's neat." When a serial killer leaves a trail of tidy corpses in service of justice, audiences cannot get enough; he liberates everybody's inner vigilante. Dexter, played pitch-perfect and spot-on by television veteran Michael C. Hall (late of "Six Feet Under"), is a smart and smart-mouthed, self-aware crime scene investigator who moonlights as a blood-thirsty avenger. Dexter is your average psychopath-next-door, comparable with Macbeth or Hannibal Lecter, but with charm and good jokes. As critics and viewers have stressed since the show's very first episode, Dexter kills only people who deserve to die"”depraved pedophiles, drunk drivers with neither conscience nor remorse, and other reprehensible characters who slip through the cracks in the justice system. The show's producers John Goldwyn and Sara Colleton assert, "Dexter becomes a metaphor for people closeted by their secrets." They exaggerate their character's allegorical powers"¦but only a little.
