Mark O'Brien is a paralyzed 38-years old journalist who is confined to his iron lung forever, and, one more detail… he is a virgin. Furthermore, all her dreams are about how to have a sexual intercourse with female. After he asks for a beatification his Father Brendan and receives his blessing for the sessions of sexual therapy, he goes for it. Very soon Mark meets Cheryl Cohen Greene, professional sexual therapists, who helps him to discover all the sweets of life and suddenly makes them discover each other. Unexpectedly, six sessions of sexual therapy turns into something more valuable: a passionate and cognitive journey from isolation to spiritual emancipation. The story is loosely based on real life events happened with real Californian journalist who decided to dramatically change his "paralyzed" existence and succeeded. The film premiered on Sundance Film Festival in 2012 and gained mostly positive critics alongside with Audience Award in "Dramatic" category and Special Jury Prize in category "Dramatic Acting - Cast". Nevertheless, it's a first time when Brad Anderson manages to gather such a brilliant cast in his movie. The lead role was secured by Halle Berry – and this only actress is able to "make the film" as she repeatedly did in Cloud Atlas, Dark Tide and Catwoman. Her character, Jordan, a 911 operator is trying to help troubled young girl and save her from murderer. Things got worse when teenagers real troubles reveals Jordan's old fears and psychological traumas. The influence of these revived fears have causes ambiguous effect on their dialog and consequences it leads to. Troubled teenager girl, Casey is played by Abigail Breslin,who may be familiar to you by her prominent roles in Little Miss Sunshine, where she were nominated in 10 prestigious awards, My Sister's Keeper (as Anna Fitzgerald) and Definitely, Maybe (Maya Hayes).

It's a Christmas time of 2004. An ordinary British family Henry (Ewan McGregor) and Maria (Naomi Watts) visits Thailand on vacations with their three children: Lucas, who is just turned 7, and his younger brothers Simon and Thomas (children are played by Tom Holland, Oaklee Pendergastand and Samuel Joslin, accordingly). As they reach the Thai hotel, their family suit is upgraded to villa, a horrible decision, as it turns after. They are exchanging some Christmas gifts and heading to the coastline the morning after. Nothing has presaged a catastrophe. But meanwhile the terrible roar is heard from the seaside, and, in the moment, a giant wave of Tsunami covers the shoreline with all the tourists on it, including Henry, Maria and their beloved children. The wave is crashing trees, houses, cars, throwing human bodies to right and left. In a few seconds it appears that Henry, Simon and Thomas were picked up by the strong current and wiped to the inner part of land while Maria and Lucas are struggling for their survive in the roaring waves full of fallen tries which strike them inflicting terrible wounds, and making "the happy end" for them almost impossible. The movie, filmed by Juan Antonio Bayona, an outstanding Spanish director and producer, keeps us on the toes these first 20 minutes. The super-realistic 3D sound of imminent Tsunami is awesome, the pictures of scorched post-Tsunami landscape are phenomenally affecting, and the rest of the story based on true life events is very touchable and tragic.

Darren Aronofsky took an almost perfect movie about art, madness and how it is sometimes difficult to distinguish from one another. The most stupid thing you can do with this film - is to try to accuse him of vulgarity or secondary. Black Swan is a movie that with equal success can be compared with the classic Red Shoes of 1948 and Red Shoe Diaries in Saturday's TV - and both will be true. Aronofsky, who after all the applauses has nothing to proof, managed to do something very important in the Black Swan: to return the immediacy for the art-cinema. You can watch Black Swan as an exciting thriller about madness and as a melodrama about hot dancers.

The Roommate's premise seems simple enough, and in light of Virginia Tech and elsewhere, maybe even plausible. The studio says The Roommate is, ""A psychological thriller about a deranged college freshman who becomes obsessed with her new roommate." If the girls take Psych 101, they may learn "deranged" is not appropriate clinical vocabulary for a girl who systematically and deliberately murders all of her roommate's friends and loved ones. To their credit, Leighton Meister who plays Rebecca, first-year serial killer, and Minka Kelly, who plays Sara, unwilling object of obsession, rise above primitive writing and production values that fall far short of the balance between sex and fear, redeeming the movie as much as any two gifted girls might. The Roommate may be more valuable as a promotional piece for Los Angeles Loyola Marymount University; and, over time, the film may be far notable as a showcase for 2011 college fashions than for its riveting representations of paranoid schizophrenia. Will those nasty blood stains wash out of that adorable Abercrombie skirt?

When they combine lies, murder, date rape, mysterious parenthood, and gender confusion in a movie it's generally considered to be a melodrama. The Skin I Live In takes it to another level and turns physical improvements into some horrific experiments gone awry. Dr. Robert Ledgard (Antonio Banderas) is a plastic surgeon who attempts to cultivate a new human skin that is impervious to burns. His wife died 12 years back after severe burns led her to commit suicide. His work thus far has only been on mice but he needs a human "guinea pig" to insure his efforts work. Here is where the horror begins! eems the good doctor has a female captive who he plans on using to test his newly developed skin. His servant, Marilia helps keep the woman under control but when her son, Zeca commits a robbery commits robbery and asks mom to hide him a few days, he discovers the captive woman and rapes her. Upon Dr. Ledgard's return he kills Zeca when he finds him raping his captive. We witness more mayhem including sexual reassignment, rapes, suicides, and murders. Quite a price to pay for fire proof skin!tarring Antonio Banderas (Homeland Security, Zorro) is Dr. Ledgard, Roberto ГЃlamo is Zeca, and Marisa Paredes is Marilia.
