Howie cheats on his wife, and Becca stalks their baby's killer, and somehow they convince themselves and the audience that really they are just a couple of struggling suburbanites "trying to find their way back to a life that still holds the potential for beauty, laughter and happiness." Rabbit Hole movie director John Cameron Mitchell drains away the film's melodrama and pathos by rendering it in "drab, functional, TV-movie naturalism," making it beguiling and terrifying. Through Mitchell's lens, the horrific events and overwhelming emotions seem exceptionally familiar and perfectly ordinary. Rabbit Hole terrifies everyday Cineplex audiences, forcing them to recognize just how easily they might become Becca and Howie.

In an age where women are considered second class citizens and not allowed to hold jobs of any value, Albert Nobbs finds work as a butler in a posh Dublin hotel. Nobbs however just happens to be a woman who sees the opportunity to make a living even though it is discouraged in Ireland in the 19th century. This works fine until she falls for a handsome man and wants to escape from the lies she has lived with. Glenn Close first fell in love with the Albert Nobbs character and played the part back in 1982 in an off Broadway play. She purchased the rights and began working to make this highly entertaining film. ross dressing is something that has always been controversial and remains in use today even by mothers in Afghanistan who dress their young daughters up to appear like boys so they won't be harassed in public. In the year of 2012 the vampiremania occupies the minds of earthlings. Even Johnny Depp could not escape of being vampire in this Tim Burton's remake of TV show which was popular in sixties. he story of Dark Shadows begins in 1752 where the preamble of the movie takes place. Joshua and Naomi Collins their son Barnabas travels from Liverpool to America in the pursuit to find a new better life, but the family curse overtakes them even on the boat. After the twenty years Barnabas becomes reach and famous in the small city of Collinsport and the master of Collinwood Manor. Acting like some sort of local Casanova he breaks the heart of one witch, Angelique Bouchard. There were two issues with this case: the first, she was the real witch and, and the second, it was a fatal mistake of Barnabas. Her reaction was lightning fast and literally inescapable: she turns him in the vampire and buries him for greater certainty. But after 200 years due to some accident he frees from the grave and tries to return to a normal life. But a normal life does not exist in 1972, anymore. Barnabas realizes it after visiting the ruins of former Collinwood Manor, now occupied by his dysfunctional descendants. There the story of Dark Shadows begins.

The Return of the Scarlet Pimpernel is a movie that was released in 1937 and is based on the novel of the same name by Baroness Emma Orczy. The movie follows the exploits of Sir Percy Blakeney, who assumes the identity of the Scarlet Pimpernel, a dashing hero who rescues French aristocrats from the guillotine during the Reign of Terror in the aftermath of the French Revolution. In this movie, Sir Percy must rescue his wife, Lady Blakeney, who has been kidnapped by the villainous Citizen Chauvelin.

The idea of The Master, which was filmed and released in 2012, could be traced back in 2000, when, as it was reported that Paul Thomas Anderson had the plans to create the movie about The Church of Scientology. However, the issues with the financing have blocked the implementation of conception until The Weinstein Company alongside with Megan Ellison, daughter of billionaire Larry Ellison (co-owner of Oracle Corporation), secured the financing of The Master in full. Likewise it has been some rumors that the movie was stalled because of too much of truth about The Church of Scientology has been revealed by Paul Thomas Anderson when he showcased The Cause sect (which was definitely prototyped from The Church of Scientology) in his movie. And because Hollywood has lots of influential and high-powered scientologists in his womb they have, allegedly, throw sand in the wheels of The Master filming and financing. In spite of the fact that The Church of Scientology Officials have rejected these rumors to be true and repeatedly insisted on their indifference concerning this movie, we have lots of doubts about it. The movie rather colorfully describes the sect and its leader Lancaster Dodd, whose personality was clearly copied from Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard and very plausible displayed by talented performance of Philip Seymour Hoffman. You may be familiar with him by the roles in Moneyball, where he played Art Howe and in The Ides of March (Paul Zara). Dodd's apprentice, Freddie Sutton, who has climbed to the top of "The Cause" hierarchy suddenly starts to doubt about his teacher's belief, more and more being convinced the all he has to believe to is nothing more than fruits of his teacher's sick fantasies.

Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore are extraordinary in Almodóvar's first English-language film, a beautiful meditation on friendship, mortality, and the choice to die on one's own terms. Streaming on Netflix.
