Do not misread the connotations in the title X-Men: First Class. "First class" is a phrase which here does not mean "the best, the finest, the most luxurious," nor does it signify "the part of the plane with complimentary cocktails and room to stretch out." Take the phrase literally. In strangely oxymoronic style, the studio's promotional materials claim X-Men: First Class "charts the epic beginning (sic) of the X-Men saga," the first group of students to graduate from Professor X's school for reluctant super-heroes. "Who knew an "epic beginning" was possible? In their salad days, Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, ultimately sworn mortal enemies, were the best of buds, experimenting with and testing their newly discovered powers, preparing to join other Mutants to prevent Armageddon. X-Men: First Class documents their nasty break-up. They could not be "just friends.""Although the men allegedly star in X-Men: First Class, the so-called "supporting actresses" threaten to steal the show. January Jones of "Madmen" fame plays Emma Frost, villainesse supreme, co-conspirator with Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, criminal mastermind. More notably, Jennifer Lawrence—yes that Jennifer Lawrence, low-keyed "It Girl" from Winter's Bone and the Oscars' red carpet—plays Mystique, aka Raven Darkholme, shape-shifting mutant. By film's end, girl power may trump super-powers.

It has been scary enough to hear of UFO sightings around the globe. Places like China, Germany, France, and even Buenos Aires have all reported evidence that some form of unidentified objects have been seen flying about. In Battle: Los Angeles we find some of these sightings have been documented by trustworthy and qualified people while others are merely random visions offered by "questionable" sources. However now they are beginning to be reported in the U.S. and particularly in the Los Angeles area. This becomes terrifying when the Earth is attacked by forces that are unknown and often unseen. Transformers: Dark of the Moon is third and final episode in the saga."Produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Michael Bay,Transformers: Dark of the Moon picks-up where the first two Transformers movies left-off, bringing the narrative to its natural denouement and giving-up some of the first two installments' scale and intensity in order to "go deeper into the mythos, give it more character development, and make it darker and more emotional." Official promotional materials for Transformers: Dark of the Moon summarize simply, "The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle." Adolescent boys of all ages may lament Megan Fox's decision not to reprise her performances as Mikaela, but they will appreciate the wisdom of Bay's decision not to replace her or contrive a substitute. A little shell-shocked from the epic failure of his Wall Street sequel, Shia LeBeouf attempts a sequel do-over in Transformers: Dark of the Moon ; and Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, and Ramon Rodriguez return for the final episode of the Transformers' saga. Perhaps most importantly, Peter Cullen once again puts his talents to work as the voice of Optimus Prime.

Movie sequels generally bring back the original cast for yet another series of conflicts and G.I. Joe: Retaliation is no different with the exception of the writers. This sequel is penned by Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese and Jon Chu replaces Stephen Sommers in the director's chair. Bruce Willis (Pulp Fiction, Die Hard series) is back as General "G.I. Joe" Joseph Colton, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (The Other Guys) now plays Roadblock, Channing Tatum (The Dilemma, Ten Year) returns as Duke, and Adrianne Palicki (Women in Trouble, Pop Star) joins in to portray Lady Jaye. s in the first film G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra from 2009, the sci fi flick is based on the original G.I. Joe toys and comic books many grew up enjoying for generations. Plenty of fast action, shooting, and mayhem will keep audiences of all ages on the edge of their seats. The first film grossed well over $300 million world wide so this one is expected to do at least as well. Even though critics were negative about the first one, the audiences came back again and again to watch the action packed movie.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay – Part 1 is the first installment in the two-part finale to the Hunger Games trilogy film series adaptation, based on the final book in the series by Suzanne Collins. Jennifer Lawrence stars as Katniss Everdeen, who has twice survived the Hunger Games, and now finds herself in District 13. Her victory in the 74th Hunger Games has sparked a rebellion, and she now finds herself both a target and an inspiration. Reluctantly, she becomes the figurehead for the revolution, while also fighting to save Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). The actors in the film received critical acclaim for their performances. On its release, the film helped the series to set a record as being the only franchise to have three films earn more than $100 million in a weekend. For readers of Suzanne Collins' hit book series, this movie is a must-see continuation.

Stardust is a 2007 romantic fantasy adventure film based on the 1999 novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman. The story is about a young man named Tristan who lives in a village near a magical wall that separates the human world from the mystical realm of Stormhold. One day, he promises to bring a falling star to his beloved, Victoria, in exchange for her hand in marriage. He crosses the wall and finds that the star is a woman named Yvaine. They embark on a journey together to bring Yvaine back to the village, but they encounter many obstacles along the way, including witches, pirates, and princes who are all after the star's magical powers.
