James Franco (Pineapple Express, 127 Hours) plays a scientist who uses apes to attempt finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease and when problems arise with one of his apes called Caesar, he simply takes the ape home with him to keep the evil lab doctors from interfering. Seems as if Caesar (played by Andy Serkis from the Lord of the Rings trilogy) has begun mutating quite rapidly and that's never a good sign as he'll soon begin leading a revolt of the apes."Also starring John Lithgow (of the Shrek series and Harry and the Hendersons), Chelah Horsdal (Marley & Me), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) and David Hewlett (The whistleblower, Stargate: Atlantis)."

"The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" is a 2007 fantasy-adventure film directed by Jay Russell and based on a novel by Dick King-Smith. The movie is set in Scotland during World War II and follows the story of a young boy named Angus who discovers a mysterious egg while walking along the beach. The egg hatches into a sea creature that Angus names Crusoe and raises in secret with the help of his sister and a hired hand. However, as Crusoe grows larger and becomes more difficult to keep hidden, Angus and his friends must find a way to release him back into the sea without getting caught by the authorities who are searching for a monster that they believe is a threat to national security.

Capitalizing on the special alchemy of 3D, they succeeded. The computer animators do so well with the Lion, the Mouse, and the fairy princess, viewers willingly suspend disbelief. Of course, a mouse can out-maneuver a chimera."The producers and director paid proper respect to C.S. Lewis, early twentieth century author and scholar, who penned the novel The Voyage of the Dawn Treader as one among his Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis, a leading authority on medieval quest romance, crafted his story according to the traditions and conventions of the hero's quest, and the movie wisely recreates his craftsmanship. The film-makers achieve an unlikely hybrid of medieval story and twenty-first century imagery. They left open the question, however: Would audiences overdosed on 3D graphics and epic adventures fill the seats for another one?
