This time around we appreciate the horror of Resident Evil in 3D and for the fifth time are scared nearly out of our wits by some great writing and superb acting that is not all that common in the horror genre of films. Maybe that is why we now are treated by a fifth installment of this popular and exciting film. Directed by as well as written by Paul Anderson, this is Anderson's third time up to bat and his experience is deep into the shaping of each character into what he wants of them. We find many returning actors playing their characters once again along with some new ones that transferred over from the video game versions.nce again Alice (Milla Jovovich from all five Resident Evil movies plus The Fourth Kind) is captured by the evil Umbrella. We find out more about her complicated past as she continues her quest for the ones who are at fault for the outbreak. Also returning as Jill Valentine is Sienna Guillory (Silence Becomes You), and Oded Fehr (TV's Covert Affairs) as Carlos Olivera who now returns as two different and opposing characters. Who says sequels never equal the original have yet to see Resident Evil: Retribution.

Skyline movie is a 2010 science fiction thriller film directed and produced by the Brothers Strause and the same studio which created 2012 movie. For many years people were sending the signals across the universe seeking for other civilization to be heard… And one day we have been heard; and the first thing alien visitors decided to do is to clean the Earth. Because the only thing they need is our Planet … not us. Skyline movie starts with a story of a partying group of friends who were awoken by bright blue flashing lights sky vanishing and swallowing people. They have nothing do to but fight for their lives as the world unravels around them and extraterrestrial forces begin to erase the entire human race.

Chappie (stylized CHAPPiE) is a science fiction film directed by Neil Blomkamp, based on the director's own 2004 short film, Tetra Vaal. Set in the near future, Chappie features a world which is policed by mechanized robots. The robots are oppressive toward humanity, but do not have the ability to think and feel. Chappie is a robot designed with artificial intelligence. Chappie can feel emotions and think for himself, and it is up to him to stand up to the forces that are trying to oppress humanity and take him down. The film stars Sharlto Copley as Chappie, supported by Dev Patel, Hugh Jackman, Watkin Tudor Jones, Yolandi Visser, Jose Pablo Cantillo, and Sigourney Weaver. Chappie is Blomkamp's third feature length film, written alongside his wife Terri Tatchell, who worked with him on District 9, which also starred Sharlto Copley

Based on a graphic novel from 2006, Cowboys & Aliens is the latest offering from Steven Spielberg and producers Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. It takes place in Arizona back in 1873 and we find a loner, Jake Lonergan played by actor Daniel Craig (Quantum of Solace) who wakes up to find he has no memories of his past but mysteriously finds he has a shackle on his wrist. As he moves on he discovers he is a wanted man and needs to align himself with the man who runs Absolution, Arizona Colonel Woodrow Dolarhyde played by Harrison Ford (of Indiana Jones fame). When it is discovered the shackle on Jake's arm is a vital clue to his past, he and Dolarhyde must take a stand against a mysterious foe who seems to be all powerful. Woodrow Dolarhyde is the man and he totally rules the town of Absolution as Craig and the viewing audience soon become to realize and his shackle holds the key to solving the mystery. Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano, Olivia Wilde, and Keith Carradine head up a quality cast.

Lucy is a 2014 action-thriller film directed by Luc Besson and starring Scarlett Johansson as the titular character. The film follows Lucy, a woman who accidentally ingests a drug that unlocks the full potential of her brain, allowing her to access extraordinary powers and knowledge. As she becomes increasingly powerful, Lucy becomes embroiled in a dangerous conflict with a gang of criminals who want to harness her abilities for their own gain.

Do not misread the connotations in the title X-Men: First Class. "First class" is a phrase which here does not mean "the best, the finest, the most luxurious," nor does it signify "the part of the plane with complimentary cocktails and room to stretch out." Take the phrase literally. In strangely oxymoronic style, the studio's promotional materials claim X-Men: First Class "charts the epic beginning (sic) of the X-Men saga," the first group of students to graduate from Professor X's school for reluctant super-heroes. "Who knew an "epic beginning" was possible? In their salad days, Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, ultimately sworn mortal enemies, were the best of buds, experimenting with and testing their newly discovered powers, preparing to join other Mutants to prevent Armageddon. X-Men: First Class documents their nasty break-up. They could not be "just friends.""Although the men allegedly star in X-Men: First Class, the so-called "supporting actresses" threaten to steal the show. January Jones of "Madmen" fame plays Emma Frost, villainesse supreme, co-conspirator with Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, criminal mastermind. More notably, Jennifer Lawrence—yes that Jennifer Lawrence, low-keyed "It Girl" from Winter's Bone and the Oscars' red carpet—plays Mystique, aka Raven Darkholme, shape-shifting mutant. By film's end, girl power may trump super-powers.
