Elysium's director Neill Blomkamp managed to gather a brilliant ensemble cast to turn an ordinary sci-fi movie to an extraordinary one: Matt Damon (True Grit, Invictus, The Informant!) stars as Max Da Costa, while Jodie Foster (Carnage, The Brave One, Panic Room) acts as main antagonist Jessica Delacourt.

After Earth follows an exciting story written by Gary Whitta about a father and a son survived a starship crash on a distant inhabited planet. Cypher Raige is a recognized hero of many wars, a legendary general who heads his spacecraft to the distant realms, convoying recently captured fierce alien creature. He travels with his son, Kitai Raige, inexperienced 13-years-old boy who gets his initial knowledge about space voyages. Unfortunately, a technical malfunction triggers a chain of events that lead to emergency landing on hostile planet. The only hope for deathly injured father and his son is to find and activate SOS beacon before Cypher Raige dies. Bad news: their radars indicate that the beacon is located on the other side of the planet and ocean of impassable jungles infested with bloodthirsty animals and furious alien that escaped the spaceship during the crash are the only obstacle between 13-years old Kitai and the hope to save their lives. Seriously wounded Cypher can't move, but he tries to help his son to overcome the fear by couching him distantly. The only thing is left at his disposal is to convince Kitai, that in contradistinction to dreadful monsters his fear is not real. That means that Kitai has to forget the fear and concentrate on the real dangers: ravenous creatures and virulent environment of the hostile planet. By the way it's Earth. Yes, it's our home planet that was abandoned by humans almost 1000 years ago due to the catastrophic event that wiped out majority of the species. Since that time new kinds of giant animal took the place of extincted ones and now they dominate the Earth. It's strange and suspicious that we know so much about the movie's story, taking in consideration that After Earth was directed by M. Night Shyamalan, so you have to expect some unpredictable plot twists. Another fact to enjoy is the ensemble cast: there are two leading characters - the father and the son, and they are the real father and son Will and Jaden Smith. Yes, this is the Will Smith (Men in Black franchise, Wild Wild West and I, Legend) and his son Jaden Smith (The Karate Kid, The Day the Earth Stood Still).

"Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home" is a science fiction film that was released in 1986. The movie is set in the 23rd century and features the crew of the USS Enterprise time-traveling to 1986 in order to save Earth from a destructive alien probe. Along the way, the crew must adapt to life in the 20th century and find a way to communicate with the probe.

It's a third appearance of Chris Hemsworth as mighty Thor after Kenneth Branagh's Thor filmed in 2011 and Joss Whedon's The Avengers filmed in 2012. The story of Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World is a direct sequel of the first movie and it takes place just year after the events of The Avengers. Now Thor stands against the ancient evil embodied in Malekith and his henchmen. This concentrated evil existed even before the history of our Galaxy has began. And there are no forces neither in Asgard nor on Earth to withstand them. Once again the destiny of the whole world is in Thor's hands. Once again he has to come back to Earth and fight with Malekith. When he meets his passion, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), his quest becomes more complicated – to rescue his love interest and save both Earth and Asgard. As for ensemble cast it's quite clear that previous movies successes inspired producers to inflate the budget significantly, besides the actors which were starring in the first movie Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins there some new Hollywood stars: Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Heroes, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Thing, Killer Elite, Faster), Zachary Levi (Stuntmen, Shades of Ray), and Tadanobu Asano (Battleship, 47 Ronin).
