Jimmy has not seen his mother since he was back to attend his father's funeral. Now he hopes to live with his mother in the very house and neighborhood he grew up in. But much has changed while he's been away, especially the neighborhood (Forest Hills, Queens in New York) which is now considered somewhat of a slum. Successfully debuted at The Dallas International Film Festival, Liberal Arts is an American romantic-drama film directed by talented Josh Radnor, who not only written a screenplay for the movie by performed the leading role of the Jesse, a lonesome mid-aged university admissions officer who visits his old college in order to honor his ex-mentor. At this pivotal moment of his live he meets a girl, a 19 years old Zibby (the role performed by lovely Elizabeth Olsen, whose sole presence in the film makes it worthy to watch). Zibby and Jesse relationships develop in the way typical for 36-years old mature man and romantic 19-tears old girl, who know nothing about what this world is like. The only thing that makes their relations seemingly not icky is the Jesse serious take of this moral dilemma, which sometimes crossing the border between serious and funny. Especially in the scene when he calculated the deeps of his lapse from virtue: "When I was 19, she was 3; when I was 16 she was 0….hmmm…when I'll be 86, she will be 70" the last equation makes him sort of more easy looking on this hefty age difference (but he, and everyone in the move; and even we understand the point well).

As we said before Charles is played by a top-ranked American comedian Charlie Sheen (a star of Two and a Half Men, She Wants Me, Due Date and Scary Movie franchise). His girlfriend Ivana is played by a gorgeous Katheryn Winnick (a star of Vikings, Stand Up Guys and Nikita). Charles friend Kirby is played by Jason Schwartzman (Saving Mr. Banks, Moonrise Kingdom, Bored to Death), while Saul is played by Bill Murray (Hyde Park on Hudson, Passion Play, Lost in Translation).

This also applies to Robert Pattison, a brilliant actor, and a rising star of Hollywood, whose mission to play thoughtful young men in the next ten years is apparently predetermined. But, let's go back the movie itself. Set in the Manhattan and filmed during the one month only, Cosmopolis reveals the inner side of richmen's life of New York city. A 28 years old financial prodigy Eric Packer (Robert Pattison) heads up to his hairdresser in super luxury limo rolling down the Manhattan streets. He can hardly imagine how his next 24 hours will turn out in this cosmopolitical metropolis. He'll cheat his wife. He'll be on the edge of losing his wealth and life. You know, everything can happen on the way to barber.
