They could not be "just friends.""Although the men allegedly star in X-Men: First Class, the so-called "supporting actresses" threaten to steal the show. January Jones of "Madmen" fame plays Emma Frost, villainesse supreme, co-conspirator with Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, criminal mastermind. More notably, Jennifer Lawrence—yes that Jennifer Lawrence, low-keyed "It Girl" from Winter's Bone and the Oscars' red carpet—plays Mystique, aka Raven Darkholme, shape-shifting mutant. By film's end, girl power may trump super-powers.

They are trying to kill a man who managed to exceed light speed limit on his self-built shuttle, resulting in the first contacts with alien civilizations. Unattended by the aliens, Earth would be a good platform for the enslavement of humankind and the endless circle of new robots creation.

Vincenzo Natali's "Splice" is a kind of clever scientific horror about two geneticists who created the monster mix of girl, reptile and the ostrich. "Splice" is not rolled into something too much nerdy and viewers remain involved to a movie plot that makes them cling to the arm of the chair, putting thoughts on lofty matters before leaving the theater. Natali rushed to the scene Chimera in the days of "Cuba", but 90s he had neither the money nor the technical means. Now, there is an opportunity to implement any plan, and with them came to realize: and it is not in favor of CGI industry - just look at what happened to Gilliam and Burton. Natalie is not concerned with: he has bright enough ideas without a CGI. "Splice" justifies tons of meaningless computer graphics that have been poured on us for the last dozen years.
