The first movie since In Line of Fire (1993) where Clint Eastwood plays not being a director of the film, Trouble with the Curve (2012) is a sport-drama film which story centers on aging basketball scout Gus (Clint Eastwood). There were the times when almost retired senior man was a legend of a baseball scouting. He recruited a world-famous Micky Mantle and Hank Aaron. However, those times are in the past, and a Gus's executives afraid that he stuck in dinosaur ages, saying "Nobody cares who scouted Hank Aaron anymore." So, it seems like Gus has to prove his professionalism at the dusk of his carrier. He has to start his last scouting voyage, which he decides to perform with his daughter Micky named after a baseball star he scouted many years ago (the role of Micky was performed by Amy Adams). During the tour they meet Johnny Flanagan (Justin Timberlake), a rival scout, which was scouted by Gus some time ago, and who has an eye on Micky (and that is Gus couldn't accept). Indeed, Gus and Johnny are good friends, and Micky couldn't stay between them. There is something more about Gus scouting trip – he has the eyesight problems making him impossible to successfully judge whether this or that player is promising or no. This is the work for Micky eyes, and this is a strange symbiosis of aging professional scout and his adoring daughter, who used to love baseball and now hates it seeing the treat to his father health. The script of Trouble with the Curve has come a long way to hit the screens (almost 15 years) which may indicate its was not good enough; but not in this case. When you are watching Clint Eastwood films one thing is sure, Clint always delivers.

Battle of the Year: The Dream Team is American movie inspired by real life break-dance championship, a tournament like Olympic games for dancers is held every year in France. And most interesting fact is that Americans, who were standing at the origins of the break-dance haven't won Battle of the Year for fifteen years (what a shame!). This situation is to be changed by former b-boy Dante (Laz Alonso - Charlie DuChamp from Breakout Kings) who hires a basketball coach, Derrek, to make a team from a gang of unorganized teen-dancers. Derrek (played by Josh Holloway: Five, Stay Cool, Whisper) initially refuses the deal claiming that he is just former basketball coach, but finally accepts Dante proposition. As we see, Dante was right, a good coaching gives more than specialization. As it turns out B-boys were in need of discipline and raising the morale. The main competitors, Koreans have won lots of Battles of the Year before - their dancing potential and, what is more important, both the spirit and the will to win seem to be unbeatable. However, Derek's tactic to train boys like real men is paying off. His b-boys turn into a powerful dancing forces crew, a serious menace for the rest of the teams on Battle of the Year dance-ground.

Since her father becomes seriously ill Penny has to run his horse stables balancing on a bankruptcy edge. But very quickly she became interested in the world of horse racing and got into it, without any dreams about great professional success, but soon the fortune grants her the gift, a horse named Secretariat with outstanding racing talents matching the veteran horse trainer Lucien Laurin (John Malkovich)…and the undreamed success comes true.

If you are looking for the latest in "Bad News Bears" type of movies, you'd better look elsewhere. Moneyball is more about reality and taking risks and while based on the true story of Billy Beane's attempt to improve the odds of picking a top quality team of baseball players through use of computer programs to analyze and select the best for the job. Michael Lewis wrote the book in 2003 about a man who successfully tries to change the system and perhaps even change the game of baseball forever if the unorthodox methods used to select the team do actually work. top quality cast includes Brad Pitt (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Fight Club) who is Billy Beane, Robin Wright portrays Sharon (A Christmas Carol from 2009, New York, I Love You), Jonah Hill (Just Add Water, Forgetting Sarah Marshall), and Academy Award Winner Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Invention of Lying, The Big Lebowski).

"Creed" is a 2015 sports drama film directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, and Tessa Thompson. The film is a spin-off and sequel to the "Rocky" film series, and tells the story of Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, who seeks out Rocky Balboa, his father's friend and former rival, to train him to become a professional boxer.
