OnlineTVcast did not verify a qualifying U.S. base-subscription or free ad-supported stream for Chasing Mavericks as of October 30, 2026. The Disney+ entity route no longer provides accessible title evidence, and the former Hulu route resolves only to the generic Disney+ home page. Amazon and Fandango at Home/Vudu are transactional rental or purchase options and are excluded.
Inspired by surfer Jay Moriarity’s life, the drama follows the teenager as he trains with local mentor Frosty Hesson to ride the dangerous Mavericks break near Half Moon Bay. Curtis Hanson and Michael Apted directed; Gerard Butler plays Hesson and Jonny Weston plays Moriarity, with Elisabeth Shue, Abigail Spencer and Leven Rambin in supporting roles.
