A dream team within a one movie - Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin -impress with the incredible chemistry between members of this trio. Stand Up Guys director Fisher Stevens climbed into the territory of crime-comedy thrillers about gangsters mocking gangsters. Nonetheless Stand Up Guys is not a spoof of Pulp-Fiction-like movies, it has its own tint, and there is the place for seriousness too. The story begins when Val (impersonated by Al Pacino, a well-known American author gained his fame by his memorable roles in The Devil's Advocate, Heat, Scent of a Woman, The Godfather, Scarface) is being released from "the big house" after serving 28-years sentence. His mate, Doc (played by Christopher Walken, previously starred in A Late Quartet, Seven Psychopaths, Balls of Fury and Man of the Year) is eager to meet him at the walls of the penitentiary. Doc has two reasons for cheery embraces for his old pal. Doc was given a task to kill Vic. The assignment was made by the local kingpin Claphands (played by Mark Margolis: Beneath, Noah, The Courier, Black Swan), who is dreaming about revenge for his son's accidental death accusing Vic for this. Nevertheless, Vic is aware about Doc assignment, and first thing buddies want do to is to visit the local cathouse ( it's a second reason), where the mess begins: alcohol, drugs and Viagra overdose ignites the chain of events buddies can't control.

Released in 2012, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days covers the events depicted in third and fourth books of Jeff Kinney: The Last Straw and Dog Days. The last one "realistic fiction" novel got more attention from Wallace Wolodarsky who wrote a screenplay for the movie, and this fact is noticeably reflected in the film's plot. The storyline begins with Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson are going to the country club for their summer vacations where due to the unfortunate sequence of developments both of them got into the troubles. Bleak outlook of spending the summer in vain efforts to make some money is rising at the horizon with more and more of clarity. That makes the movie very similar to previous two: Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2011) – the hopeless children are showcased as losers trying to do their best. Nevertheless, the play of the cast is outstanding as usual and while watching this sequel you distinctively understand why these seven actor and actress (Zachary Gordon, Karan Brar, Robert Capron, Laine MacNeil, Connor & Owen Fielding and Dalila Bela were nominated the Young Artist Award and some of them ( we mean Laine MacNeil) even won it. By the way, Zachary Gordon's career is moving quite fast, which is led him to the lead role in the 2012 movie Norm of the North, where he plays main protagonist, Norm.

Beatriz at Dinner is a 2017 American comedy-drama film directed by Miguel Arteta and written by Mike White. The movie stars Salma Hayek as Beatriz, a holistic healer and massage therapist who is invited to a wealthy client's dinner party. When Beatriz's car breaks down at the client's house, she is invited to stay for the party, but tensions arise as she clashes with a smug, arrogant businessman played by John Lithgow.

"Swiss Army Man" is a movie that was released in 2016. The movie tells the story of Hank, a man stranded on a deserted island, who finds a seemingly lifeless body washed up on the shore. Hank soon discovers that the body, which he names Manny, has some unusual abilities, such as the ability to fart with great force and accuracy, and the ability to produce fresh water when fed with various liquids. Hank uses Manny's abilities to try and find his way back to civilization.

Who doesn't love Jim Carey in a movie with animals? It's not an accident that Ace Ventura is a Carey-cult favorite; not even the cutest, most adorable of Nature's creatures can upstage the gangly funny man when he's at the top of his game. And let's face it: Jim Carey needs a decent shot at redemption after breaking-up with Jenny McCarthy and failing to captivate audiences with his less-than-thespian portrayal of a gay con-man. Mr. Popper's Penguins promises vintage Carey with a proven plot. "An updated version of the classic 1939 children's classic, this version of Mr. Popper's Penguins features Carey as Tom Popper, ace businessman, who inherits six penguins—alternately represented by real penguins and some genuinely amazing CGI bird-body doubles. Naturally, penguins and professionalism do not mix, and Mr. Popper struggles mightily with his dilemma while the audience discovers—like rubber chickens and Schectady—penguins always are funny…especially when they dance. Maybe best of all, Mr. Popper's Penguins will give smile-starved families a little relief from summer 2011's relentless onslaught of ripped-from-the-comic-books action adventures.
