Think of Prom as High School Musical with heavy doses of teen-aged angst. Summarizing Prom in frighteningly reductive terms, Disney says, "A group of teenagers get ready for their high school prom," and the producers list it simultaneously as "comedy" and "drama." If you read only that description, you easily could conclude Prom dramatizes debutantes' struggles with mascara and up-dos. To her everlasting credit, Aimee Teegarden, veteran of heavy high school drama in "Friday Night Lights," goes a long way toward redeeming Prom from its awkward identity crisis. With a properly delicate and ironic touch, Ms. Teegarden effectively captures every sophisticated senior's inchoate recognition that "valedictory" means farewell and "commencement" is a synonym for "see ya." "Nova, Ms. Teegarden's allegorically named character, recognizes her pet antagonist probably is the ideal prom date, heavy on the fun factor and devoted to keeping rented tuxedos and poofy dresses in perspective. The unlikely pair contrasts sharply with Mei and Tyler, swept-away sweethearts, who wrestle with conscience and logistics as they work to wring every last micro-gram of meaning and romance from "the biggest night of their lives.""Set for release the last weekend of April, 2011, Prom may or may not set the tone for the Class of 2011's dining and dancing extravaganzas, but it surely will provide invaluable fashion and etiquette tips.

Pieces of April is a 2003 independent film directed by Peter Hedges. The film tells the story of April Burns, a young woman who is estranged from her family, and her attempts to reconnect with them on Thanksgiving Day. April lives in a run-down apartment in New York City with her boyfriend, Bobby, and is determined to make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for her family, who are traveling from the suburbs to visit her.

Bobby is not what he appears to be. He works on Wall Street by day and works the dirty streets of NY City at night while he picks pockets trying to pay off gambling debts his deceased father owed in the amount of some $500,000. Stars Peter Facinelli (Twilight and the Twilight Saga series) as Bobby, who also wrote the script for Loosies. Other cast member include notables like Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill) as police Lt. Sully Sullivan who thinks Bobby got a bit too greedy when he "lifted" the policeman's badge, Jaimie Alexander (Watch Over Me, CSI: Miami) plays Lucy, a young woman Bobby has an overnight sexual fling with who finds she has become pregnant, Joe Pantoliano (The Sopranos, The Matrix) as Carl, and William Forsythe as police Capt. Edwards.his otherwise stereotypical good vs evil film earns good credit for the writing and we wonder if one night can ultimately change a lifetime of criminal acts. Bobby reevaluates his life and must decide if his current way of life is worth it or if he wants to take on the responsibilities that await him.

Each Thanksgiving Jack Sadelstein dreads the traditional family dinner because his twin sister always shows up. Jill Sadelstein is almost the exact opposite to Jack in that she's needy, passive aggressive, and totally maddening to her twin brother Jack. Each Thanksgiving she turns his tranquil life absolutely upside down! When his irritating sister arrives from the Bronx, New York this time however, she doesn't leave! Jack's idealic life and comfortable home in Los Angeles is soon totally disrupted by the sister from Hell!ennis Dugan again directs an Adam Sandler film and this one is partially filmed aboard the newly launched cruise vessel, Allure of the Seas. Actually filmed on board just before it's maiden voyage. Jack/Jill played by Adam Sandler (Happy Gilmore, Just Go With It), wife Erin played by Katie Holmes (Dawson's Creek, Batman Begins), Dana Carvey (Saturday Night Live, Wayne's World) plays a puppeteer and also starring Al Pacino, Shaquille O'Neal, Dan Patrick, and Regis Philbin playing themselves in cameo roles.

You can threat Zombieland as the horror movie in the relative manner only. With all its hordes of walking dead, with frenzied Woody Harrelson's shears at the ready, gallons of blood and rolls of intestines, horror can only be relative. This is a great, ingenious, cruel comedy, where, however, shifted all the genre framework, where the twelve year old girl is playing with firearm and harsh zombie fighter sweetly bathe children and puppies in the bath; where the main comic is stupid and ridiculous to die. And if the comedian was killed - hence, in general, everything is permitted.

I'm Still Here movie is a 2010 comedy drama film shot in mockumentary style. The scenario was written by Casey Affleck in association with Joaquin Phoenix which also portrays himself in the movie. Retired from his acting carrier he becomes a hip hop artist discovering all the funny relationships between the media, customers and the celebs. The tragedy of Joaquin Phoenix's self-destruction as an actor and as a hip hop star is completely showcased in the I'm Still Here movie and there is only one question arise: is it just a mockumentary about the retired star or a documentary about degradation of a mind?
