In 2010, if you are not filming a reality show in New Jersey, then you really are just experimenting in the reality gene. Obviously, New Jersey has special purchase on "real" America: New Jersey housewives owned Bravo, and New Jersey skanks owned Mtv, so E! naturally followed suit with "Jerseylicious" TV show, a marginally real depiction of life in "Gatsby," a strip-mall hair salon. Of course, all of the characters on "Jerseylicious" bear a frightening resemblance to Snooki, but, as the promos are quick to emphasize, "the tans are darker and the teases are higher." On "Jerseylicious", the stylists battle one another for clients and boyfriends"”not in any organized competition, of course, but in that snarky and insidious way that apparently happens as a result of breathing too much Aqua-Net and nail lacquer. The New York Times insightfully notes, "The best-looking person among the workers or the customers is Anthony, the only male member of the staff. There are trumped-up rivalries and domestic tensions galore, none very convincing."

The Celebrity Apprentice 3 (The Apprentice 9) is the reality television show - the ninth installment of the United States version of The Apprentice. "Big Brother" numbers among those long-running (unreal) reality shows that keep rolling along on their own momentum long after the thrills have gone. Originally adapted from a popular Dutch series, "Big Brother" puts thirteen carefully chosen strangers in a house heavily wired with cameras and microphones, capturing every word, gesture, and nuance. The producers challenge their "guests" to complete a series of physical and mental "stunts," periodically polling their feelings about who among them should go home. The one guest who stays longest goes home with half-a-million American dollars. Although "Big Brother's" novelty has faded, even the most stony-hearted and cynical critics must accord the superannuated series its props: When an online streaming service attempted a similarly contrived "residential situation," capitalizing on the industry's newest, most sophisticated audio and video technology, it faded to black in less than a month. At the other end of the scale, when MTV adapted "Big Brother's" premise for use along the New Jersey coastline, it became a cultural phenomenon, and "Snooki" became a household word. Clearly, it's not the premise but the chemistry that determines the show's fate. Therefore, credit "Big Brother" with good chemistry and agree to roll along with the momentum.

Alcohol, sex and partying, partying and more partying" this is the main appeal of The Catalina, a CW television reality show about work days and nights of same name Miami party-hotel. Concerning the level of vulgar jokes, demeaning situations, offensive remarks and drunken people talks this show seems to be on the hair's width above the another remarkable sex&alcohol reality series Jersey Shore produced by MTV. From this point of view The Catalina looks like CW marketing answer to MTV's domination in the humanity moronizing niche. Dramatis Personae of The Catalina could be characterized as "one is better than another". Let's start with the pool bartender couple Kris and Nancy. The first one calls himself as "a big ball of horny energy" and the second one, his ex-girlfriend is always jealous about his penis. As we moving further, we see Morgan a Polish restaurant manager. She hates everyone in the mile radius and describes the rest of the staff as ""¦they are all very stupid." She regularly yells at Eyal, her bartender an Israeli bisexual, who seems to be happy with this "relationships." His sobriquet Gayal, was given to him by their boss, Nathan, who represents the top of this Sodom and Gomorrah. His most remarkable singularity lies in the spraying the fountains of champagne over the guests and staff.
