As Larry David developed "Seinfeld," he openly and unabashedly acknowledged it was "a show about nothing." Now, "Curb Your Enthusiasm," Larry David's show about Larry David similarly is a show dedicated to complete dramatization of practically nothing. Somehow, it manages to be funny anyway. Larry David stars as Larry David, who is a fictionalized version of Larry David. No narcissism in that set-up. The coincidences persist through the rest of the cast: Cheryl Himes plays Cheryl, Jeff Garlin plays Jeff, and Susie Eastman plays Susie, making it much easier to play along on the home version. A semi-retired television writer, David has trouble adapting to the social conventions in Los Angeles, and he devotes a great deal of time and energy to correcting or making-up for his mistakes"¦except when he correcting other people's rude or outrageous behaviour. In its way, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" testifies to David's and the cast's comic genius, because he outlines the plot for each episode, but the actors improvise all of the dialogue, keeping their own enthusiasm well under control.

Penn & Teller: Bullshit is popular around the globe and viewed in Ireland, New Zealand, Mexico, Denmark, Iceland, Columbia, Canada, Brazil, and Australian each week. The hosts bring up subjects not merely to "expose the truth" but show some to be misleading, overemphasized, or even unnecessary interruptions in life.

It is an enormous problem for many young people today and by addressing it within the context of a popular TV program it will be seen by many and perhaps help some who are struggling with their weight. A summer camp dedicated to weight loss, Camp Victory is the destination for the cast of "chubbies" determined to lose weight and become healthier along the way to becoming popular in school. Written capably by Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life) and her daughter Savannah Dooley, the cast includes Nikki Blonsky playing Willamena, filled with resentment for being sent to "fat camp" by her parents, Hayley Hasselhoff is Amber, thinner and prettier than the rest but lacking self-confidence, and Raven Goodwin who plays Becca, bookworm who is painfully shy and becomes fast friend with Willamena. Good writing and a talented cast make this semi reality show well worth watching.

America's Funniest Home Videos (AFV) is a long-running TV show that features a collection of humorous and often silly videos sent in by viewers. The show first aired in 1989 and has since become a staple of American television. The videos usually involve mishaps, accidents, and other amusing moments that were captured on home video.

Magazine columnist Andrew Carlson knows the etiquette column he writes is outdated and he is most likely the "last of his kind" but someone has to do it. David Hornsby is Carlson and is also the creator of the new series which is an adaptation of a non-fiction book by John Bridges titled How to Be a Gentleman. Hornsby, formerly from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, is the uptight magazine columnist who still believes in chivalry and opening doors for the ladies. His side kick is an exact opposite, making the two of them resemble Felix and Oscar from the Odd Couple. Kevin Dillon (Entourage) is Bert Lansing a veteran of the war in Iraq and brother to actor Matt Dillon, is a macho trainer who recently inherited a fitness center. He fits the Oscar Madison character to a T. Bert intends to down grade Andrew's gentlemanly habits and show him how to live his life more like a "bad boy". Dave Foley (News Radio) is Jerry, the editor of the magazine Andrew Carlson works for.
