Professional decorator Jeff Lewis and his assistants are in the house "flipping" business. That is they buy them up cheaply and sell for a profit. Along the way there are always complications involved with refurbishing houses that have been neglected or even abandoned, thanks especially to the real estate crash in recent years. The stressful environment of flipping houses makes Lewis decide to concentrate more on home design and his consulting business as a means of income. We, the viewing audience, follow him and his helpers along as they work out the details and improve on each home they take on as a project now based in the Los Angeles, California area. Among the homes Jeff Lewis takes on as home improvement projects are some worth well over a million dollars so this is no small time business. Jenni Pulos, Ryan Brown, Chris Elwood, and Chris Keslar are part of his crew and prove to be dedicated workers who Lewis finds he can't do without. The program makes for some interesting and inspiring viewing that makes many of us want to head for the Home Depot and begin our own restoration in our own homes.

Those petite girls only seems to be tender and sweet, but deep inside their souls look more like alligators ready to eat each other in order to get a best role. However, even in this harsh world of pure competition is the place for glimpse of love. This is a story of dance-themed reality docu-drama Breaking Pointe, a new CW series featuring seven ballet stars in their everyday life and job. Christiana Bennett, is the probably oldest main character in Breaking Pointe, she is 32 and now she is at the top of her ballet career, but strong competition not allowing her to bask in the rays of glory. She is very aware of young and hungry ballerinas starving for her place. Beckanne Sisk is right that kind of young and hungry ballerina, she is extremely talented, and in her 19 she's made the brilliant dance career, most of twentysomething dancers only have to dream of. Beckanne has a friend Katie Martin, less talented by awesome girl who admires Beckanne, though in some weird way. Another character is Ronald Tilton, with whom Katie is dating. He is a dancer too, and it's hard to say what Katie and Ronald hold in the first place: ballet or relationships. Another dancing couple is Rex Tilton and Allison DeBona. It seems like Rex is totally in love with Allison, but it's clear that Allison prefers her ballet career instead of their relationships. Such a stratagem of relationships dramatically showcased in Breaking Pointe makes these TV show somewhat like The Hills, but more concerned about real problems of really talented, not only pretty, people.

The latest concept in reality television is Same Name which pairs up a "regular guy" with a celebrity who just happens to share the same first and last names. Of course a name like Betty White (at least five in the Boston area alone) is an easy one to match up but how does the well known comedienne compare with someone from the so called normal world? The idea could be interesting if the celeb trades places with the real person and spends some time in their shoes and vice versa. Can Floridian Justin Bieber (they found one in Jacksonville, Florida) sing? In the pilot episode we see a landscaper and electrician from Lake Jackson, Texas with the name of David Hasselhoff trade his life with THE David Hasselhoff, formerly of Baywatch and Knight Rider. Will the Hass electrocute himself? And is Mr. Hasselhoff from Texas better looking? Those who share names with celebrities seldom have anything else in common other than that name thing and it could be humorous observing how difficult it may be for the pampered set to actually work at real jobs.

The competition is high and so are the stakes for the U.S. version of The X Factor. Judges have been selected from the cream of the celebrity music crop and with a recording contract worth $5 million the winners in each category will need to be at their best and give the performances of their lives. Simon Cowell is creator of The X Factor and will oversee the talent as well as the judges, assuring the show goes on in an audience pleasing manner. Each of the judges will handle one of the four assigned categories that include boy singers (ages 12-25), girl singers (ages 12-25), group singers, and those who are over the age of twenty five. Unlike other programs of this sort there is no upper age limit for the competitors. Judges will mentor those in their category and offer help and advise as the competition progresses. Getting that advise from the likes of Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, L.A. Reid, or Simon Cowell himself will be invaluable to the aspiring singers as they have helped fashion many super stars in the music industry. There are to be five competitive stages involved: Auditions by the producers, auditions by the judges, a Bootcamp, visitation to the judges houses, and finally the live shows where it all comes down to a single winner or group. As the five stages of the competition progress, it promises to get more exciting each week
