What happens if you hybridize The Amazing Race and Top Chef? There are two possible answers: "nothing good" and "Around The World in 80 Plates". And you know, both of them are true. But, please, don't get us wrong. It's not just another Bravo's disastrous TV show; it's just a cooking reality show, which is not about the cooking. How is it possible? With ease, here we have to lift the curtain off the series' plot. First of all, you have to imagine three clueless chefs walking down the streets of London, doing the classic "pub crawl" and pretending the "drunk Americans". It's pathetic scene, you know. But who are those unfortunate souls? Meet Keven Lee, or how he calls himself Cheven (mix of Chef and Kevin). He represents one of the endangered species of Hollywood private chefs. The next one is Chazz, his real name Chaz Brown from Voorhees, New Jersey, who is repeatedly semi-shocking us with his British accent, that's why it would be better if he kept silence all the show long. Our list would not be completed if we haven't mentioned the Tex-Mex half-naked chief Sai Pituk from Texas, who surprisingly said the she cooks Asian cuisine only. There are another nine contestants participating, that makes total twelve. The television show is divided into two parts. In the first part all of the participants are performing something like scavenger hunt in the uncommon environment of foreign culinary culture (you have to ideate the picture of dozen Americans wander the rows of Borough market; it's must be funny, isn't it?). In the second part of each episode the contestants have to cook (finally!) the local dishes which their tasted in the first part, and as a bisque, the winning team (those who won the "scavenger hunt") gets one secret ingredient, which will be in great help in the "cooking" part. That is most amusing part of the "Around The World in 80 Plates" because judges are the locals, and you should see their faces when they taste black pudding hash cooked by Americans.

Another American reality based show on the TV? Well why not as they are all cash cows for the networks that produce them. This time around we can observe the ultra wealthy Paris Hilton as she goes about her "normal" every day affairs. Co-starring with Paris is Brooke Mueller former wife of Charlie Sheen (and mother to their twin boys Bob and Max). The concept here is somewhat based on how difficult it can be to be famous. Constantly hounded by the paparazzi who follow her every movement, Paris Hilton must find ways to avoid them when ever possible. Paris Hilton has been successful in her primary role in life; that being as a wealthy socialite who does not need to do anything unless she wants to. Her reality show has been compared with "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" as being light yet intriguing fluff that some find amusing. The TV program takes us along as Paris and Brooke travel to Las Vegas, Spain, or Cabo for some drama and or romance.

The second in row franchise of Housewives, The Real Housewives of New York City is a spin-off of The Real Housewives of Orange County stared in 2008. In the nutshell of this reality TV series lays on simple idea: to show real live of rich women in some way everybody wants to see it. They are rich; some of them own their business, as Ramona Singer who runs clothes wholesale company RMS Fashions and skin care brand TruRenewal. Unlike the others wives both current and former, she and Heather Thomson are the only real businesswomen in series. The rest of them are musicians (as LuAnn de Lesseps), writers (Sonja Morgan), journalists (Carole Radziwill) and just rich woman (Aviva Drescher). You can hardly find the differences between "New York City" housewives and other spin-offs like "New Jersey", "Beverly Hills" and "Orange County". However, if you like this kind of reality television you will definitely find The Real Housewives of New York City notably entertaining.

RuPaul's Drag Race is a reality competition television show that premiered in 2009. The show features drag queens from all over the United States competing in various challenges to become America's Next Drag Superstar. The contestants showcase their skills in categories such as acting, singing, and fashion design, and are judged on their performances by a panel of judges.

Reality programming has reached new heights (or is it a low?) when we see a sexy "blonde bombshell" living out her life in front of E! television cameras. Kendra Wilkinson, a former gal pal of Hugh Hefner, has moved from the Playboy mansion and married a football player named Hank Baskett. Now she must adjust to married life plus becoming a mother for the very first time. Moving from absolute luxury into the "real world" of a just above average lifestyle must have been a shocker but she copes. Kendra began her television career in another short lived series called "The Girl Next Door" which was similar to Three's Company and its star Suzanne Somers role. Blondes always seem to draw attention especially when they are slim, sexy, and single. The Girl Next Door premise was soon replaced with marriage and motherhood however when real life Kendra married her true love, Minnesota Vikings Hank Baskett. Domestic life can be funny and Kendra makes it work.

Those petite girls only seems to be tender and sweet, but deep inside their souls look more like alligators ready to eat each other in order to get a best role. However, even in this harsh world of pure competition is the place for glimpse of love. This is a story of dance-themed reality docu-drama Breaking Pointe, a new CW series featuring seven ballet stars in their everyday life and job. Christiana Bennett, is the probably oldest main character in Breaking Pointe, she is 32 and now she is at the top of her ballet career, but strong competition not allowing her to bask in the rays of glory. She is very aware of young and hungry ballerinas starving for her place. Beckanne Sisk is right that kind of young and hungry ballerina, she is extremely talented, and in her 19 she's made the brilliant dance career, most of twentysomething dancers only have to dream of. Beckanne has a friend Katie Martin, less talented by awesome girl who admires Beckanne, though in some weird way. Another character is Ronald Tilton, with whom Katie is dating. He is a dancer too, and it's hard to say what Katie and Ronald hold in the first place: ballet or relationships. Another dancing couple is Rex Tilton and Allison DeBona. It seems like Rex is totally in love with Allison, but it's clear that Allison prefers her ballet career instead of their relationships. Such a stratagem of relationships dramatically showcased in Breaking Pointe makes these TV show somewhat like The Hills, but more concerned about real problems of really talented, not only pretty, people.
