It's a Christmas time of 2004. An ordinary British family Henry (Ewan McGregor) and Maria (Naomi Watts) visits Thailand on vacations with their three children: Lucas, who is just turned 7, and his younger brothers Simon and Thomas (children are played by Tom Holland, Oaklee Pendergastand and Samuel Joslin, accordingly). As they reach the Thai hotel, their family suit is upgraded to villa, a horrible decision, as it turns after. They are exchanging some Christmas gifts and heading to the coastline the morning after. Nothing has presaged a catastrophe. But meanwhile the terrible roar is heard from the seaside, and, in the moment, a giant wave of Tsunami covers the shoreline with all the tourists on it, including Henry, Maria and their beloved children. The wave is crashing trees, houses, cars, throwing human bodies to right and left. In a few seconds it appears that Henry, Simon and Thomas were picked up by the strong current and wiped to the inner part of land while Maria and Lucas are struggling for their survive in the roaring waves full of fallen tries which strike them inflicting terrible wounds, and making "the happy end" for them almost impossible. The movie, filmed by Juan Antonio Bayona, an outstanding Spanish director and producer, keeps us on the toes these first 20 minutes. The super-realistic 3D sound of imminent Tsunami is awesome, the pictures of scorched post-Tsunami landscape are phenomenally affecting, and the rest of the story based on true life events is very touchable and tragic.

When a commercial airline pilot, Whip (Denzel Washington) saves hundreds of lives it seems like his future looks bright and glorious. He managed to land an airplane with both engines damaged. Although the landing was very hard, Whip has showed a virtuoso level of superior flight skills and have saved 98 out of 106 lives on board. After preventing this catastrophe Whip may feel himself like a hero as well as all the Americans treat him; but following investigation set a long row of inconvenient questions that are making Whip's perspectives looking not so bright. To tell the truth, his future seems like he has to be a prisoner who is serving the very long term in a jail rather than an American hero who is resting on its laurels. Furthermore, everything points on the fact that he knows why. Step by step, dialogue by dialogue, as we watch Flight, we learn more about this unfortunate flight and the night before it.

Hachi: A Dog's Story looks very respectable thanks to beautifully grown old Richard Gere. But all this is the perfect atmosphere generates the feeling that all this neat, distilled and smoothed microcosm of the American province was specially built just for the beautiful story design. Something here is not real in the movie. However, when your eyes filled with tears, you will not be able to consider.

Derek Cianfrance's The Place Beyond the Pines has got an impossible 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes just after the movie hit the screens of Toronto International Film Festival. The brilliant play of actors cast and powerful drama has received positive critical acclaim by most of the critics reviewed the movie. The main protagonist Luck Glanton is played by Ryan Gosling (Gangster Squad, The Ides of March, Drive), who managed to outdo himself in The Place Beyond the Pines. Eva Mendes (Girl in Progress, Fast Five, Last Night) also stars in the movie as Luck's girlfriend, Romina, and the chemistry between these two characters is on the verge of an incredible. Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook, Hit and Run, Limitless) stars as Avery Cross, a cop leading the investigation against Luck and his play is striking and emotional.

He is aided by a young female computer hacker named Lisbeth Salander. It may take modern computer based sleuthing to find the answer to this 40 year old mystery. Blomkvist is trying to write a novel about a powerful family saga and he, along with his assistant soon get entangled in the underworld while doing their research.he journalist turned detective, Mikael Blomkvist is ably played by Daniel Craig from Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale. he assistant, Lizbeth Salander is portrayed by Rooney Mara from The Social Network, Tanner Hall. oran Visnjic (The Deep, ER) plays Dragon Armansky.eteran actor Christopher Plummer is Henrik Vanger.he book was set in Sweden but this theatrical version seems to be "homeless" although it appears to be based in the UK due to the many British characters appearing in the film. Wherever, it is a dark movie that is deliciously filled with suspense, intrigue, and sterling quality performances.

The film tells the story of a young woman named Joy and her son Jack, who have been held captive in a small shed for several years. The film explores their relationship as they attempt to escape and adjust to life outside of the shed.
