When Jimmy, a 45 year old "roadie" who has been with the Blue Oyster Cult, an 80's hair band is cast off by the band, he returns to his home town and to see his mother. Jimmy has not seen his mother since he was back to attend his father's funeral. Now he hopes to live with his mother in the very house and neighborhood he grew up in. But much has changed while he's been away, especially the neighborhood (Forest Hills, Queens in New York) which is now considered somewhat of a slum.
