Lets face it, no one finds much humor in the subject of cancer. But it is all too common. Most of us know someone affected by it and adding a bit of humor to the stress and strain will help lighten up an otherwise somber situation. Seth Rogan is Kyle, the best friend of Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who has been diagnosed with the big C. Kyle is one of those guys who keeps everybody laughing with his broad sense of humor and that's just what Adam needs about now. Anjelica Huston plays Adam's mother. She is one of those moms that dote on their adult children, especially those with a fatal illness. She tries to help but ends up seeming overbearing. Katie is Adam's doctor (played by Anna Kendrick) and is a doc everyone would love to have, especially when they are dying. The entire cast works well together in this comedy drama that sees a victim appreciating what time he has and his friends who truly care about him. Nothing maudlin here, just a good movie that's well written and acted.

Dinner for Schmucks movie follows the common office "rat" Tim (Paul Rudd), who gives his boss promising business idea in timely manner. Boss, commending the zeal offers a guy to go to the big league managerial, but first Tim has to pass a little test and to invite some eccentric nerd to the private corporate dinner. It is a challenge: whose idiot would be the most ridiculous, that one gets the encouragement and recognition. Tim was lucky, by his Porsche he knocked Steve Carell, which is not that just looks like an idiot almost in every way, but enjoys taxidermy and collecting of dead mice dioramas compounding with them some sentimental scenes. As a result, mental stupidity, of course, wins managerial cynicism that is predictable. An amusingly ridiculous black comedy "Seven Psychopaths" is a McDonagh's next masterpiece created in a black comedy genre. It tells the story about an author, Marty who is out of inspiration to finish his novel "Seven Psychopaths". Marty is played by an Irish actor, Collin Farrell who may be known to you by his roles in Minority Report (2002), In Bruges (2008) and Total Recall (2012). His friend Billy tries his best to help Marty to finish writing the book "inspiring" him by getting into the troubles, constantly. Billy is portrayed by Sam Rockwell, who is known to you as Sam Bell from Moon (2009) and Kenneth Waters from Conviction (both are serious roles in the serious films with lots of awards and nominations). Billy is a pure criminal with sadistic attitudes, but he is lovely one. Besides his kind heart, he has a crime-partner Hans. This next psychopath is played by Christopher Walken. This great American actor needs no introduction – you know his awesome roles in Kill the Irishman (2012), Hairspray (2007) and Man of the Year (2006). The next psychopath is Charlie (portrayed by Woodrow Tracy "Woody" Harrelson: No Country for Old Men, The Messenger, Defendor, Zombieland). His beloved dog, a rare Shih Tzu was kidnapped by Billy and Hans, and all the movie's action unfolds in this pivotal point. There we meet Angela, played by the "Bond Girl" Olga Kurylenko, Kaya (Abbie Cornish) and Zachariah (Tom Waits) – the last two of the "Seven Psychopaths".

When a group of retirees from the UK decide they might want to retire to someplace exotic that has a lower cost of living for those on a fixed income they decide on India and find the Marigold Hotel just what they think they're looking for. Ads depicting a newly restore luxury hotel draw these older folks who seek a life filled with leisure and lazy living and when they arrive are sorely disappointed to find the "restored" hotel is in shambles. But they soon discover love and life can begin all over again for them after shedding the hackles of their past and simply moving on with their lives.he notable cast includes Maggie Smith (The Harry Potter series of films, Nanny McPhee Returns) is Muriel, Bill Nighy (Wild Target, Valkyrie) is Douglas, Judi Dench (Jane Eyre, Quantum of Solace) plays Evelyn, and Tom Wilkinson (The Green Hornet, Valkyrie) is Graham. This film may be considered a cautionary tale about expecting too much or just a good example of the best in British acting talents put to work in their senior years.

Just how many searching and testing dates does it actually take before the average person finds their own true love? How many relationships does it take to find "Mr. or Miss Right? Evidently the answer is something like twenty, at least for the character in this funny film. Anna Faris (Scary Movie series, Lost in Translation) plays Ally Darling, who checks back on her past dating record of twenty men to see if she missed that special one. And with the help of her next door neighbor Colin Shea (played by Chris Evans from Fantastic Four, Rise of the Silver Surfer) asks the question What's Your Number? That number determines how many dates it may take before finding the special one. Backtracking on dating history may not be the best way to find that person but she's determined to see if she's missed him somewhere along the way. And along the way we find this hilarious movie to be entertaining. Choosing a number of around twenty may be way more than the average person has in their date book history but it can get interesting finding out what those who she left behind are up to these days.

Who doesn't love Jim Carey in a movie with animals? It's not an accident that Ace Ventura is a Carey-cult favorite; not even the cutest, most adorable of Nature's creatures can upstage the gangly funny man when he's at the top of his game. And let's face it: Jim Carey needs a decent shot at redemption after breaking-up with Jenny McCarthy and failing to captivate audiences with his less-than-thespian portrayal of a gay con-man. Mr. Popper's Penguins promises vintage Carey with a proven plot. "An updated version of the classic 1939 children's classic, this version of Mr. Popper's Penguins features Carey as Tom Popper, ace businessman, who inherits six penguins—alternately represented by real penguins and some genuinely amazing CGI bird-body doubles. Naturally, penguins and professionalism do not mix, and Mr. Popper struggles mightily with his dilemma while the audience discovers—like rubber chickens and Schectady—penguins always are funny…especially when they dance. Maybe best of all, Mr. Popper's Penguins will give smile-starved families a little relief from summer 2011's relentless onslaught of ripped-from-the-comic-books action adventures.
