Pieces of April is a 2003 independent film directed by Peter Hedges. The film tells the story of April Burns, a young woman who is estranged from her family, and her attempts to reconnect with them on Thanksgiving Day. April lives in a run-down apartment in New York City with her boyfriend, Bobby, and is determined to make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for her family, who are traveling from the suburbs to visit her.

In Good Deeds which is his 10th time up to bat as director, Tyler Perry puts his all into the movie by also writing and producing as well as starring in it. Considered a heart warming romantic drama Wesley Deeds (Tyler Perry) falls for a young woman who cleans offices in the building he works in. he building cleaning lady is Lindsey Wakefield (Thandie Newton from The Pursuit of Happyness, For Colored Girls) who's a hard luck single mom just trying to make ends meet. When Deeds finds himself falling for her it jeopardizes his impending marriage to his fiancé, the wealthy Natalie (Gabrielle Union from TV's Ugly Betty and Life).hile Wesley Deeds finds his life is uncomplicated and planned out future ahead of him looking bright he now must choose between his soon to be bride and the exciting new woman that came into his life. He is about to assume the lead position in his father's business and settle down for the remainder of his well planned out future but can he overcome the desires of his heart? Also starring Brian White (TV's Men of a Certain Age, Body of Proof) as Wesley's brother Walter, Phylicia Rashad as their mother Wilimena Deeds, Psych and Cosby from television, and Rebecca Romijn (TV's Ugly Betty, Eastwick) as Heidi.

The creators of the MacGruber movie comedy does not have to limit their abilities and filmed crazy movie with a lots of jokes (and a considerable part of them are very good), lots of stupid, but charming characters and vivid action-packed scenes. This craziness of the "MakGrubera" mood makes the picture unexpectedly fresh and very funny. A little-known Will Forte, who plays the role of MakGruber, works on courage, and most of the positive energy comes out from him. Long time not appearing on the big screen, Val Kilmer plays a main villain, and adds some respectability to the movie.

Doug Glatt is a rather dim-witted fellow who head butts a hockey player, knocking him out, and soon becomes the hero and new enforcer of an ice hockey minor league team. Seann William Scott (Dude, Where's My Car? and The Dukes of Hazzard) plays the slow witted but enthusiastic fan who takes his new job of protector of his team members. When fights are on the verge of getting started Glatt simply jumps in and takes on the opponents and keeps his teammates free from harm. Who ever said the sport of hockey is riddled with violence?ritten by Evan Goldberg and Jay Baruchel, Goon depicts a pathetic difference between bright and influential family members (both Glatt's father and brother are doctors) while he is a "dim bulb" in the family who means well and finds his opportunity to "shine" with the hockey team position. Also starring Live Schreiber (Salt, X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Jay Baruchel (Tropic Thunder, the Sorcerer's Apprentice) is Ryan, Doug Glatt's best friend, and Emmy award winner Eugene Levy (Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian).

Zookeeper immediately deserves nomination for the "Cute" Hall of Fame. Or "precious" or "adorable" or one of those ever so warm and friendly adjectives that describe both people and animals you just want to hug with all your might. You must understand that the animals star in Zookeeper, and the people are the supporting cast. Naturally teddy-bearish Kevin James stars as Griffin Keyes, long-time zookeeper who doesn't get out much. More at home with his critters than members of his own species, the zookeeper bravely resolves to leave the zoo and venture out into the bigger world, where he hopes, naturally enough, he can get a life and get a girl. When the animals ferret-out Griffin's plan, they feel so desperately heart-broken they elect to break their "code of silence," revealing not only that they can talk but also that they have quite a bit to say on questions of love, romance, and mating. Rosario Dawson plays Kate, "the girl." The animals, of course, conspire to help their boy win the girl and to keep their happy family together. Seriously, how cute is that!"Zookeeper features an exceptionally high-powered collection of voice talents: Adam Sandler plays a Capuchin monkey, Cher appropriately plays a lioness opposite Sylvester Stallone's lion, Billy Crystal plays a llama, and the venerable Don Rickles gives us his very best frog. And that's just the headliners. Zookeeper also has the strange distinction of going into the film history books as the last movie MGM studios wrapped before it went into bankruptcy. That part isn't cute—just quirky.

The Barkleys of Broadway is a 1949 American musical film directed by Charles Walters and starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It was their tenth and final collaboration together. The movie tells the story of a married couple who are a famous song-and-dance team. When the wife decides to retire from show business and pursue a career in dramatic acting, it strains their marriage and their professional partnership.
