Description

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is a 2008 American comedy-drama film, directed by Sanaa Hamri. The film is based on the young adult book series of the same name by Ann Brashares, and is a sequel to the 2005 film, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The film follows the continuing adventures of four best friends, Lena, Tibby, Bridget, and Carmen, who are now college students, as they navigate the challenges of adulthood and their changing relationships.

The film is set during the summer after their first year of college, and the girls are all facing different struggles. Lena is studying art in Rhode Island and is grappling with her feelings for a male model. Tibby is working at a video store and is struggling to find direction in her life. Bridget is studying archaeology in Turkey and is coming to terms with her mother's death. Carmen is working backstage at a theater in Vermont and is dealing with her father's new girlfriend.

The four girls stay connected through the magic of a pair of jeans that magically fits each of them, despite their different sizes and shapes. The pants serve as a metaphor for the unbreakable bond between the friends, and help them navigate the ups and downs of their individual lives. You can threat Zombieland as the horror movie in the relative manner only. With all its hordes of walking dead, with frenzied Woody Harrelson's shears at the ready, gallons of blood and rolls of intestines, horror can only be relative. This is a great, ingenious, cruel comedy, where, however, shifted all the genre framework, where the twelve year old girl is playing with firearm and harsh zombie fighter sweetly bathe children and puppies in the bath; where the main comic is stupid and ridiculous to die. And if the comedian was killed - hence, in general, everything is permitted.

All About Steve is the comedy about a girl Mary (played by Sandra Bullock), which makes crossword puzzles for the newspaper. She is very intelligent, but she is a real disaster. After a short blind date with an operator of CNN news Steve (Bradley Cooper), Mary decides that it is chemistry. She believes that she has found her soul mate. And to understand the correctness of this wisdom, the she had to run for Steve almost throughout the country. She tries to prove to him that they were meant to be fate. Getting the most ridiculous situations the main Mary makes many girls think what the bloopers they usually do in the relationships with men.

A dream team within a one movie - Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin -impress with the incredible chemistry between members of this trio. Stand Up Guys director Fisher Stevens climbed into the territory of crime-comedy thrillers about gangsters mocking gangsters. Nonetheless Stand Up Guys is not a spoof of Pulp-Fiction-like movies, it has its own tint, and there is the place for seriousness too. The story begins when Val (impersonated by Al Pacino, a well-known American author gained his fame by his memorable roles in The Devil's Advocate, Heat, Scent of a Woman, The Godfather, Scarface) is being released from "the big house" after serving 28-years sentence. His mate, Doc (played by Christopher Walken, previously starred in A Late Quartet, Seven Psychopaths, Balls of Fury and Man of the Year) is eager to meet him at the walls of the penitentiary. Doc has two reasons for cheery embraces for his old pal. Doc was given a task to kill Vic. The assignment was made by the local kingpin Claphands (played by Mark Margolis: Beneath, Noah, The Courier, Black Swan), who is dreaming about revenge for his son's accidental death accusing Vic for this. Nevertheless, Vic is aware about Doc assignment, and first thing buddies want do to is to visit the local cathouse ( it's a second reason), where the mess begins: alcohol, drugs and Viagra overdose ignites the chain of events buddies can't control.

The Informant movie, directed by Oscar-winning Steven Soderbergh is based on events that took place in the U.S. in the early 90's. Mark Whitaker, played by Matt Damon, is a prominent manager of agro-industrial corporation Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), who became clandestine informant engaged in biotechnology issues. "And all because Whitaker discovers that the leadership of a transnational company artificially boosted too high a price for the products and decides to tell all about the FBI. In order to expose the dishonest managers, the FBI need proof, which is why Whitaker gladly agrees to wear the special eavesdropping equipment. On the whole 4 years he becomes a "stool pigeon" for federal office. It would seem that the evidence collected and can bring a charge, but it turns out that Mark, always considered himself a virtue, exemplary American citizen, did not hesitate to take cash himself during the corrupt deals ADM. Naturally, charges against the corporation collapses like a house of cards and the system chooses now to Mark himself. Slicker Whitaker, who led the FVI agents to grand finale, ultimately deceived himself. Entangled in a lie, he tries to make himself a hero till the very end.

I Love You, Phillip Morris movie takes a cop out of the closet and directly to jail—a love story…Jim Carey plays Steven Russell, happily married and safely closeted local law enforcement officer devoted to clean Christian living and keeping up appearances in the neighborhood. As "I Love You, Phillip Morris" opens, officer Russell culminates his spare-time search for the mother who gave him up at birth; mom kept his older and younger siblings. Mom wants nothing to do with him, and adding injury to the insult, Russell suffers a terrible car crash. The one-two punches inspire him to abandon his former life, and Russell embraces the gay lifestyle with zest and gusto. Discovering gay extravagance comes with big price tags, Russell discovers his proficiency as a con man…until he ends up in jail, where he meets Phillip Morris. Ewan McGregor brilliantly plays Phillip Morris, the love of Russell's life. And, then, the drama begins. Dealing unabashedly with homosexuality, "I Love You, Phillip Morris" might have inspired boycotts, protests, and a great deal of unpleasantness. Thanks to Carey's and McGregor's sensitive, poignant portrayal of the characters and the script's ample good humor, "I Love You, Phillip Morris" is just a really good movie about a couple of men in love.
