The Housemaid (2025)

Congratulations to all of those who liked Public Enemy with Johnny Depp, now they have more hard-boiled action thriller, Gangster Squad, unfortunately without Johnny. However the absence of Depp is easily compensated by a magnificent assembly of the cast, flawlessly selected by Ruben Fleischer who previously directed Zombieland and working on Zombieland 2 at the day of The Gangster Squad release. Returning to the abovementioned cast, the set of starring actors is really staggering: Ryan Gosling is portraying the main protagonist Sgt. Jerry Wooters who is serving in small (but very secret) LAPD squad chasing the major villain, Mickey Cohen, a mob ringleader. Cohen rules everything to the west from Chicago: prostitution, drug dealing, contract murders and bribes to politicians and officials. He controls everything and everyone. Sean Penn has professionally played the role of this uber-gangtser. Not worse managed with their roles gorgeous Emma Stone (as Grace Faraday) and Josh Brolin (as John O'Mara). The rest array of celebs involved in the film includes: Giovanni Ribisi (Ted, Contraband), Mireille Enos (The Killing, World War Z), Michael PeГ±a (Chavez, End of Watch), Nick Nolte (Luck, Warrior), Anthony Mackie (Vipaka, Real Steel) and Robert Patrick (Mafia, Safe House).

The Town (2010 film) is the Ben Affleck crime drama released in 2010 and it's a second movie directed by him. The Town plot is based on the novel "Prince of Thieves" written by Chuck Hogan. The movie follows Doug MacRae, who lives in a suburb of Boston and Charleston. He has a pretty nice job: he robs banks together with his friends. During one their "adventures" they are taking young girl Claire as a hostage. Lately, when they release her, Doug decides to check whether she may represent some danger for the gang. He seemed to have accidentally meets her, but the familiarity is gradually develops into love, which makes Dag choose on whose side he was on...

The Lincoln Lawyer (2011) is an film adaptation of Michael Connelly's novel written and published in 2005. The Lincoln Lawyer movie's plot is loosely based and showcases the life and job of criminal defense attorney Mickey Haller conducting his business from the backseat of the Lincoln Town Car driven by his formerly client who works off his legal fees as a Mickey Haller's driver. The movie centers on an unusual case of Louis Roulet, a Los Angeles real estate agent and a son of major businessman, who seems to be mistakenly accused in rape and attempt to murder his female "victim". Among the Mickey's cases of drug dealers, narco-barons and other wide-range "innocent" criminals, the Louis Roulet's defense seems to be an easy job of justification of innocent man. But this case starts an unpredictable chain of events immersing Haller in the deadly game with the one question arise: how to survive?"As it was said by Michael Connelly, who has written "The Lincoln Lawyer" novel: "A couple days ago I saw an unfinished cut of it and could not be happier…. "Jennifer 8" is a crime thriller film released in 1992 and directed by Bruce Robinson. The story follows a Los Angeles police officer named John Berlin who relocates to a small town in California after experiencing a traumatic event. As he settles into his new job, he becomes involved in a serial killer investigation targeting blind women. While trying to solve the case, Berlin meets a young woman named Helena, who becomes a potential target for the killer.

In the action packed thriller The Adjustment Bureau, we find that smooth talking politicians with ambition like David Norris has may well be endangered and end up in the hands of "Fate". Men will do just about anything possible to keep Norris and his beautiful new companion Elise (played by Emily Blunt) from becoming close. Norris (Matt Damon) who is the winning contender for a U.S. Senate seat needs to decide how much he wants her or be placed in the hands of Fate. tory line is based loosely on a short story (Adjustment Team) written by Philip K. Dick and is action packed from the opening scenes. Filmed in Manhattan, the movie takes full advantage of the sights and sounds of an active city where politics takes top billing. Elise is a ballet dancer who may be caught up in the intrigue or a part of it. The Adjustment Bureau seems to be determined to keep her and her rising star politician from romantic involvement… but why? Filled with car chases, crashes, and mystery, this 2011 movie is one to experience and enjoy.
