Description

"A Most Violent Year" is a 2014 American crime thriller film set in New York City during the winter of 1981. It follows the story of Abel Morales, an immigrant businessman who tries to expand his heating oil empire while being pressured by his competitors and the authorities.

Despite his efforts to run his business ethically, Abel finds himself involved in corrupt practices and violence, which puts his family and his company at risk. He also has to deal with his wife's doubts and the investigation led by an ambitious district attorney.

The film portrays the struggle of an honest man who tries to succeed in a corrupt environment and the moral dilemmas he faces in the process. It received critical acclaim for its direction, performances, and themes, and was nominated for several awards.

He chose the title "Glass Onion" from a song by The Beatles and featured in the end credits.
