Hachi: A Dog's Story looks very respectable thanks to beautifully grown old Richard Gere. But all this is the perfect atmosphere generates the feeling that all this neat, distilled and smoothed microcosm of the American province was specially built just for the beautiful story design. Something here is not real in the movie. However, when your eyes filled with tears, you will not be able to consider.

Actually the film as translated from a Douglas Kennedy book of the same title works exceedingly well. The Woman in the Fifth stars Ethan Hawke (Brooklyn's Finest, Daybreakers) as the writer Tom Ricks. Ricks moved to Paris to be near his daughter but falls into hard times and needs work to get him by the writer's block he developed. Soon he becomes enraptured by a French beauty by the name of Margit and his life becomes a bit more interesting.o-starring Kristin Scott Thomas (Sarah's Key, The Other Boleyn Girl) as Margit, Joanna Kulig (Time of Honor, Janosik: A True Story) as Ania, Geoffrey Carey (Glenn The Flying Robot, The Actress' Ball) as Laurent, and Delphine Chuillot (Mozart's Sister, Silent Voice) as Nathalie. When Ricks life is turned upside down in Paris, he is helped by a French Arab fellow who gives him a job as a security agent although his passion is writing and making amends with his daughter and estranged wife. Apparently this story's writer, Douglas Kennedy is out to prove it's always darkest before the storm, at least in Paris.

It's a Christmas time of 2004. An ordinary British family Henry (Ewan McGregor) and Maria (Naomi Watts) visits Thailand on vacations with their three children: Lucas, who is just turned 7, and his younger brothers Simon and Thomas (children are played by Tom Holland, Oaklee Pendergastand and Samuel Joslin, accordingly). As they reach the Thai hotel, their family suit is upgraded to villa, a horrible decision, as it turns after. They are exchanging some Christmas gifts and heading to the coastline the morning after. Nothing has presaged a catastrophe. But meanwhile the terrible roar is heard from the seaside, and, in the moment, a giant wave of Tsunami covers the shoreline with all the tourists on it, including Henry, Maria and their beloved children. The wave is crashing trees, houses, cars, throwing human bodies to right and left. In a few seconds it appears that Henry, Simon and Thomas were picked up by the strong current and wiped to the inner part of land while Maria and Lucas are struggling for their survive in the roaring waves full of fallen tries which strike them inflicting terrible wounds, and making "the happy end" for them almost impossible. The movie, filmed by Juan Antonio Bayona, an outstanding Spanish director and producer, keeps us on the toes these first 20 minutes. The super-realistic 3D sound of imminent Tsunami is awesome, the pictures of scorched post-Tsunami landscape are phenomenally affecting, and the rest of the story based on true life events is very touchable and tragic.

You may know nothing about a system of high education in United States, but most likely you know those substitute teachers roaming from school to school. No responsibility. No engagement. No motivation. This way we see Adrien Brody as Henry, a reticent young man trying to hide his personality, while staying seemingly open to people surrounding him. verything changes in one time when he meets three women: a young teacher (Christina Hendricks), a girl from the past (Betty Kaye) and a homeless prostitute (Sami Gayle). A hidden world of true emotions reveals in Henry's heart, and suddenly he decides to change his life forever. Another one assignment turns out to be the crucial point of his life – a detachment from the previous state of mind. little bit depressive, but at the same time optimistic drama about a man trying to find a kind of harmony in cruelty of the everyday being and the beauty of the inner world.he movie is highly recommended for those who love Brody's playing and watch every movie participating the serious Film Festivals like: Tribeca, Deauville, Tokyo International, Woodstock and SГЈo Paulo International.

The American is a contemplative movie, yet unhurried and relaxed. Anton Korbeyn, who previously filmed only music videos, directed the movie ideally for the Clooney manner of playing. And that he succeeded. "Perhaps the director's fascination with photography was reflected in the "The American". The film is filled with static plans, where the sound is not important. In terms of speech: it is composed of multicolored mosaic of Italian and English, and the latter felt quite out of place, as the killer himself is an American lost somewhere in Italy in a small quiet town.
