Hughes brothers exploit a very specific niche of "commercial cinema for nerds" filmed The Book of Eli, a western about the Second Coming. You haven't even know that Eli is the God in Aramaic, and generally have at least a minimal understanding of sacred texts. Simplicity and clarity of massage of the movie makes us expecting some more complex content. Especially because the atmosphere and style of the film is beyond any praises. They succeeded to create really juicy and truthful post-apocalyptic world, which filled with the atmosphere of despair, echoing, resonating basses and shot with the cold spectrum filters. A character of Washington is so cool in his calm relaxed state that somehow you really begin to believe that good actually has fists.

Unstoppable is a disaster movie with Denzel Washington played the main character. The scenario was written by Mark Bombeka and the film was directed by Tony Scott. Unstoppable movie also stars Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson in the lead roles. The film tells a story of two railroad workers, who are trying to stop a runaway train with toxic cargo. The plot of Unstoppable movie is loosely based on real stories took place with the "out-of-control" train, in events which occurred May 15, 2001. The action takes place in Pennsylvania on the fictional Allegheny and West Virginia Railroad (AWVR). Story starts at the station Brewster where engineer Frank Barnes (Denzel Washington) and the assistant driver Will Coleson (Chris Pine) work. Although they used to work together, they are significantly different from each other: Frank Barnes - an elderly driver with 28 years experience, while Will Colson - a 27-year-old boy, who had previously held only a 4-month training course. Their task for this day is to lead the locomotive from Melbourne to the north. At first time they are experiencing the difficulties to work together because the age difference but quickly realize that they have similar problems in their personal lives: the complex issues of relationships within the family. The main character, Quintus Diaz with the legendary Ninth Legion, he goes north to wipe out the Picts and kill their leader Gorlacon. When the legion of stepping on the hostile territory and General Virilus is captured, Quintus has to save his small troop to escape persecution at the Pictish tribe on the unfriendly land and safely reach the Roman frontier. "Centurion" tells all the same story as most movies of that kind, but the author proves the theory is no longer on the characters, but once the viewer. Throughout the half hour you are watching something like a gladiatorial carnage, where there is no division into "good" and "bad". Suddenly you find yourself in the empathy with crazy antagonist blood lusting female but not the "friendly" Romans. It is about banal bloodlust, concealed in the heart of almost every human individual.

What happens next is violence and mayhem at its best and film maker Luc Besson seems to have successfully graduated from "epic" films to action packed adventure.
