The new comic book adaptation titled "Jonah Hex" has a chance to become a new subspecies of a Hollywood blockbuster movie. Which, unlike similar to it, "Van Helsing" and "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", boasts at least that there is no monstrous budget spent only on the CGI and still do not understand that. All are attached to ordinary story about an unusual hero against the forces of evil money not spent in vain - despite the feeble mind of local writers, the picture and dynamics in this are pretty good. But the lack of a coherent plot and its quality does not allow "Jonah Hex" to become something more than fantasy gunman at a time. The fact that appeals to the classic Disney animated film "Fantasia", The Sorcerer's Apprentice" movie was a success, making it hardly unexpected blockbuster the 2010 summer. Contraband's lead character Chris Farraday and the actor who portrays him have a lot in common. Mark Wahlberg was also a troubled man who wound up in jail for crimes he committed before turning himself around and travelling the straight and narrow. The movie Contraband tells a tale of drugs and how they can ruin lives. When Farraday's brother Andy botches the drug deal he's involved with for his boss Tim Briggs (played by Giovanni Ribisi (Saving Private Ryan, Public Enemies) he becomes a marked man. Andy Farraday (played by Caleb Landry Jones of Superbad, The Social Network), now deeply in debt to his boss, seeks help from his brother to save his skin! Mark Wahlberg (Boogie Nights, We Own The Night) must get back into shape so he can outwit the drug lords, hit men, and cops to save his brother and his wife Kate and kids. Kate Farraday is played by Kate Beckinsale (The Aviator, Click) only wants her husband back alive! Baltasar Kormakur (A Little Trip to Heaven) directed this action packed film.

The Last Legion is a much predicable movie: it fills a storyline gap between the Roman Empire and the legend of King Arthur, logically linking them, showing the continuity and integrity of both history and story. Especially by a remarkable way of the sword Excalibur, forged from iron ore from a meteorite fallen on Earth. So this movie should appear sooner or later, due the lack of original stories every unoccupied niche certainly is filled. Thus, the source is good. What do we have as a result? The film is not historical, but "based on" - however, it does not a bug, but only a feature, since not all because movies of the past must be strictly historical. Although significant fact: "Pirates of the Caribbean" can be easily forgiven of the almost complete lack of connection with history, but for "The Last Legion" it is the main disadvantage from the critics point of view… kind of weird logic.
