The Warlords (2010 movie) action takes place in 1860 during the Taiping rebellion in China in late Qing era. Three other general and two noble robbers and swear each other's blood in the loyalty and friendship, but the harsh realities of war, intrigue and love triangle officials are confronted them with each other.

Irish author Jonathan Swift first published Gulliver's Travels in 1726, and it became an immediate sensation. Since then, Gulliver's Travels never has gone out-of-print, and its twenty-first century sales remain nearly as robust as they were in the sixteenth. Universally acknowledged as a classic of British literature, Swift's wonderwork scathingly satirizes human nature and parodies "travellers' tales." Not surprising, then, Hollywood has attempted to bring Gulliver's story to life on film in every decade since the medium was invented. Typically, the special effects have failed to keep pace with Swift's imagination. In the story's latest reprise, a slightly modernized version, the special effects are up to the challenge, but the question emerges, "Is Jack Black up to it?" Black has disappointed fans with his last couple of ventures, but critics say he looks "at ease" as he goes for "big" laughs in the land of the Lilliputians. The producers and director have built-in a few features to give Black a healthy bounce: Updating the story, they show Gulliver as a contemporary mailroom guy who finally catches a break, winning a travel-writing assignment in the Bermuda Triangle. 3D has gotta help the contrast between big Gulliver and little Lilliputians, and an all-star supporting cast is expected to bring out the best of Black's comic gifts.

U.S. Marshals is a movie that was released in 1998 and is a sequel to the 1993 film, The Fugitive. The movie stars Tommy Lee Jones as U.S. Marshal Sam Gerard, who is tasked with apprehending a fugitive who has escaped from a prisoner transport plane. As Gerard and his team track down the fugitive, they begin to uncover a conspiracy that puts their lives in danger.

The sixth part of the adventures of Harry Potter was filmed by David Yates, who filmed the Order of the Phoenix, too. As before, there were reductions in the source material: the books themselves, as we recall, were getting thicker from volume by volume. But the fascination it has not been affected: the love of suffering young wizards magically contrasts with the overall dark background, where there extreme fear of the meeting with Volan de Mort rules. The comic couple, Ron-Hermione amuses the audience perfectly, while their companions in misfortune, Harry and Ginny honestly work out the necessary romantic part. And yet each new movie about Potter is more horrifying, sad and fantastic than the previous one: all these options are caused by the development of the story and by unlimited technical possibilities of the modern cinema.

It's about the lost souls that seem to have given up on life and what they leave behind, like lovers, families, and life they're afraid to face. And Thompson's writing makes it all seem to work perhaps because The Rum Diary is about his life...
