Written and directed by Ti West, highly respected for his work on The House of the Devil and Trigger Man, also acting in several of his movies. The" found footage" genre was used almost to death in the period of 2005-2012. However, Scott Derrickson's Sinister is something bigger than regular "found footage scary movie". In Sinister, where Derrickson's talent is multiplied on Ethan Hawke's play, the old fashion draggy movie blossoms with new fruitful flowers conceiving the new levels of horror film's quality. The story begins, when the main protagonist, Ellison finds a footage which was made a long time ago by the previous inhabitants of his new house. As it follows from the footage, four members of the family were hanged on the nearest trees, while fifth one; a little girl has disappeared somewhere and hasn't been found since. As the professional writer, specializing on the scandalous crime stories, he begins his own investigation with the help of local deputy sheriff (James Ransone, who may be familiar to you as Officer Thomas Prudenti in The Son of No One). As they excavate new facts and stories about this mysterious murder they find similar cases where entire families was killed besides the little girls which are still missing. Step by step Ellison immerses deep into the horror of these mysterious deaths becoming increasingly unsettled mentally, as the rest of his family show the sings of serious emotional distress. His wife Tracy (Juliet Rylance, who played in Adam Shaw) and 12-year-old Trevor (Michael Hall D'Addario who played in People Like Us) hear strange frightening voices that are coming out from the attic where the scary footage was found.

Saw 3D is the last sequel of the Saw franchise. It was released in 2010 as the seventh chapter in series "Saw" series. Traditionally directed by Kevin Grotert, similar to the previous films Saw 3D showcases such an enormous quantity of violent scenes that it was prohibited to theatrical release in many countries. The movie follows Dr. Gordon, whose fate was not known since the first part, when he amputated his leg, and left crawling down a long corridor. On the way he meets a pipe steam heating, and to avoid death from blood loss, he cauterizes the wound, leaning against it to the pipe and screams in pain. Meanwhile, we show the "public" trap, which in some parts can be seen in the trailers. There are two boys and a girl, which both young men fallen in love. Guys chained to the device that contains the two circular saws on each side and one on top. Girl chained to a platform hanging directly above the third saw. All three men knew each other. Than we see Billy who announces the rules of the game. As the girl manipulated the guys and the guys violated the law perusing his object of adore, now she has to find some way to break this triangle.

"Destroy All Monsters" is a 1968 Japanese science fiction movie directed by Ishirō Honda. It was produced and distributed by Toho Studios, the company behind many kaiju films, including the "Godzilla" series. In the film, an alien race known as the Kilaaks takes control of Earth's monsters, including Godzilla, Mothra, and Rodan, and forces them to attack cities around the world. It's up to a team of human scientists to discover the Kilaaks' base and put an end to their invasion.

One thing those involved agreed upon was they did not want to simply remake a great spooky classic like 1982's The Thing by John Carpenter or even its predecessor The Thing From Another World from 1951. We don't need to remake classics like Jaws or The Exorcist and The Thing is another that is better off leaving intact as it was so perfectly done initially. But this is more a prequel and as such does not step on the original. This story involves the same characters but with a somewhat different timeline and plot because these are the same ones already dead when the original movie began. Now we learn their side of the rather spooky story about the wolf like apparition that consumes its prey then assumes their identity completely.tarring Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard, Make it Happen) as Kate Lloyd, a paleontologist who joins up with the Norwegian team of scientists who happened to stumble upon an extraterrestrial space ship that's crash landed in Antarctica. The pilot, Carter, who is played by Joel Edgerton from Separation City, Smokin' Aces teams with the crew to stop the alien creature that assumes the form of anything it eats and then becomes them to fool humans and take over. This is what "could have happened" if the 1982 version took another path and one of the best non-remakes to come along in a while.
