The" found footage" genre was used almost to death in the period of 2005-2012. However, Scott Derrickson's Sinister is something bigger than regular "found footage scary movie". As the professional writer, specializing on the scandalous crime stories, he begins his own investigation with the help of local deputy sheriff (James Ransone, who may be familiar to you as Officer Thomas Prudenti in The Son of No One). As they excavate new facts and stories about this mysterious murder they find similar cases where entire families was killed besides the little girls which are still missing. Step by step Ellison immerses deep into the horror of these mysterious deaths becoming increasingly unsettled mentally, as the rest of his family show the sings of serious emotional distress. His wife Tracy (Juliet Rylance, who played in Adam Shaw) and 12-year-old Trevor (Michael Hall D'Addario who played in People Like Us) hear strange frightening voices that are coming out from the attic where the scary footage was found.

The most fun of The Wolfman is to watch the play of three great actors: Benicio Del Toro, Hugo Weaving Anthony Hopkins, who does not appear on the big screen for the long time. The absence of a distinct conflict in the plot of the film leads to interesting effects in the masters' play: if Del Toro is still trying to reveal the nature of Lawrence somehow, suffering in the role and scope of the scenario, the Hopkins returns Hannibal Lecter to the screen and Weaving gives as the Agent Smith. By the end they both almost cease to hold themselves and The Wolfman turns into a feast of film fans from computer horror game. But let's go back to the story, the box and its owner survived the horrors of World War 2, and emigrated to USA, where she died in 2001 and the box were sold to abovementioned Mannis. Finally, he brings this box home and opens it. Inside, he finds strange artifacts: locks of blonde and brunette hairs, dried flower buds, a goblet with remains of wine and the statue with Hebrew word Shalom, engraved on it. Lately he sold the box due to the numerous nightmares he and his wife suffered after the box appeared in their lives. All the later owners of "dybbuk box" have reported about these nightmares and curses that accompanied their lives since they bought the box. This true story has laid in the storyline's foundation of The Possession, the movie released in 2012. The film was directed by Ole Bornedal, and screenplay was written by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White. Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kyra Sedgwick are starring in the movie alongside with Grant Show, Madison Davenport and Natasha Calis. The last one portrays the main character, Em, who apparently becomes possessed by a dybbuk from the box.
