If you've ever dreamed about seeing together such a brilliant ensemble cast as Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, Patrick Godfrey and Sacha Baron Cohen in one movie, your dream has come true with Tom Hooper's film Russell Crowe produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Debra Hayward and Cameron Mackintosh. William Nicholson has written a screenplay for this musical based upon the Les Misérables aka Les Mis or Les Miz, a 19-th century French theatre musical which was incredibly popular both in the Europe and America. The original source of Les Misérables is Victor Hugo's novel of the same name which was written in 1862. The story of Les Misérables is focusing on the live and fate of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of the redemption. The musical immerses us in the turmoil of the pre- June Rebellion times starting in 1815 and reaching its pivotal point in 1835 with all the well-known consequences. However, let's back to Tom Hooper's adaptation: the brilliant cast is not the everything of this musical drama – you just need to hear the voice of Russell Crowe singing in Les Misérables to understand what a huge hit you faced.

There are two movies worth your attention in 2013 The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and Now You See Me. And if the second one looks more like some mix with drama and crime genre, the first one is the "pure magic". Much like Nolan's The Prestige, Don Scardino's The Incredible Burt Wonderstone tells a story about two magicians Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton whose performance gained them the first place in world rankings, but suddenly their fortune dried when Anton gets trauma during the performance. It was an accident, but Anton blames Burt for this and leaves the show. Burt has to overcome desperation, he tries to find something credible in his life to draw inspiration for the new magic shows. For worse, a previously unknown street-magician Steve Gray enters a big scene with a dangerous, but much acclaimed trick which builds him the whole show, makes it an enormously popular one. Burt understands that Gray's success means checkmate for him when his beautiful assistant, Jane turns against him and joins Gray. There only salvation for Burt, to convince Anton forgive him and reunite in some new glorious show to overshadow Gray. It's not an easy mission to accomplish, because Anton has moved to Far East and seems to be quite happy without Las Vegas turmoil. Don Scardino managed his best to gather such a brilliant cast in this 30 000 000 USD movie: Jane is played by Olivia Wilde (Relanxious, The Third Person, People Like Us, Deadfall, TRON: Legacy) while main antagonist Steve Gray is portrayed by Jim Carrey (Dumb and Dumber To, Loomis Fargo, Mr. Popper's Penguins). The main character Burt Wonderstone is played by Steve Carell (Frank or Francis, Hope Springs, Date Night) while his partner, Anton Marvelton is depicted by Steve Buscemi (On the Road, Rampart, Grown Ups). And if you are not impressed enough, David Copperfield stars in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone as illusionist David Copperfield, of course.

He is aided by a young female computer hacker named Lisbeth Salander. It may take modern computer based sleuthing to find the answer to this 40 year old mystery. Blomkvist is trying to write a novel about a powerful family saga and he, along with his assistant soon get entangled in the underworld while doing their research.he journalist turned detective, Mikael Blomkvist is ably played by Daniel Craig from Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale. he assistant, Lizbeth Salander is portrayed by Rooney Mara from The Social Network, Tanner Hall. oran Visnjic (The Deep, ER) plays Dragon Armansky.eteran actor Christopher Plummer is Henrik Vanger.he book was set in Sweden but this theatrical version seems to be "homeless" although it appears to be based in the UK due to the many British characters appearing in the film. Wherever, it is a dark movie that is deliciously filled with suspense, intrigue, and sterling quality performances.

The idea of The Master, which was filmed and released in 2012, could be traced back in 2000, when, as it was reported that Paul Thomas Anderson had the plans to create the movie about The Church of Scientology. However, the issues with the financing have blocked the implementation of conception until The Weinstein Company alongside with Megan Ellison, daughter of billionaire Larry Ellison (co-owner of Oracle Corporation), secured the financing of The Master in full. Likewise it has been some rumors that the movie was stalled because of too much of truth about The Church of Scientology has been revealed by Paul Thomas Anderson when he showcased The Cause sect (which was definitely prototyped from The Church of Scientology) in his movie. And because Hollywood has lots of influential and high-powered scientologists in his womb they have, allegedly, throw sand in the wheels of The Master filming and financing. In spite of the fact that The Church of Scientology Officials have rejected these rumors to be true and repeatedly insisted on their indifference concerning this movie, we have lots of doubts about it. The movie rather colorfully describes the sect and its leader Lancaster Dodd, whose personality was clearly copied from Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard and very plausible displayed by talented performance of Philip Seymour Hoffman. You may be familiar with him by the roles in Moneyball, where he played Art Howe and in The Ides of March (Paul Zara). Dodd's apprentice, Freddie Sutton, who has climbed to the top of "The Cause" hierarchy suddenly starts to doubt about his teacher's belief, more and more being convinced the all he has to believe to is nothing more than fruits of his teacher's sick fantasies.

Never Let Me Go is a 2010 drama film based on recognized all over the world novel of the same name written by Kazuo Ishiguro. Although the novel features some elements of science fiction, it is not positioned as a sci-fi book. Movie centers on the memories of Kathy, a young woman about 30 years, the film showcases her childhood in an unusual boarding school and subsequent adult life. The action takes place in the UK anti-Utopical end of XX century, in which people are cloned in purpose to create the donor organs for transplantation. Kathy and her friends at boarding school are set up as such donors. Prior to becoming a donor, they are all within a longer or shorter working time "helpers", caring and supporting those who have become donors. As in the Ishiguro's book, the truth does not become immediately clear, but disclosed gradually, through the weird hints.

127 hours is a drama movie with a significant portion of thriller. The Movie was released in 2010 and starred James Franco. It was directed and by written by Danny Boyle in association with Simon Beaufoy. 127 hours is completely based on the real story of Aron Ralston, a professional mountain climber who was cached in a trap by a massive rock drop. To rescue himself he amputated one of his arms after a five days surviving in hostile conditions. The movie follows the same story. In 2003, Aron Ralston (James Franco) was climbing in a remote canyon in Utah (United States) and a rock caught his arm. Only his accident strangers Megan (Amber Tamblyn) and Christie (Kate Mara) know where you can be, since met him minutes before. Equipped, with the video camera and a pocket knife only, Ralston seems to have the hours counted his life. His right forearm was pinned under a large stone block and was there for almost five days, until realized that the place where it was not rescued. Then he decided to cut his right forearm with a small knife. Then he wrapped his stump and climbed a hill to find a family who was so close, but knowing nothing about his drama…
