"Lola" is a 1981 drama film directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. The movie is set in post-World War II Germany and tells the story of Lola, a young and ambitious cabaret singer who dreams of becoming a famous actress. She becomes involved with a powerful businessman, Schuckert, who helps her career but also leads her down a path of corruption and compromise.

The story of The Place Beyond the Pines is revolving around two destinies: father's and son's. Luck Glanton, a stunt rider, got a surprise – his girlfriend, Romina, comes back with a newborn boy. Although Luck has stolen 40 thousands only his future for Avery is clear: Luck will go to jail. But suddenly, the story takes an unexpected turn. Derek Cianfrance's The Place Beyond the Pines has got an impossible 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes just after the movie hit the screens of Toronto International Film Festival. The brilliant play of actors cast and powerful drama has received positive critical acclaim by most of the critics reviewed the movie. The main protagonist Luck Glanton is played by Ryan Gosling (Gangster Squad, The Ides of March, Drive), who managed to outdo himself in The Place Beyond the Pines. Eva Mendes (Girl in Progress, Fast Five, Last Night) also stars in the movie as Luck's girlfriend, Romina, and the chemistry between these two characters is on the verge of an incredible. Bradley Cooper (Silver Linings Playbook, Hit and Run, Limitless) stars as Avery Cross, a cop leading the investigation against Luck and his play is striking and emotional.

Darren Aronofsky took an almost perfect movie about art, madness and how it is sometimes difficult to distinguish from one another. The most stupid thing you can do with this film - is to try to accuse him of vulgarity or secondary. Black Swan is a movie that with equal success can be compared with the classic Red Shoes of 1948 and Red Shoe Diaries in Saturday's TV - and both will be true. Aronofsky, who after all the applauses has nothing to proof, managed to do something very important in the Black Swan: to return the immediacy for the art-cinema. You can watch Black Swan as an exciting thriller about madness and as a melodrama about hot dancers.

In the year of 2012 the vampiremania occupies the minds of earthlings. Even Johnny Depp could not escape of being vampire in this Tim Burton's remake of TV show which was popular in sixties. he story of Dark Shadows begins in 1752 where the preamble of the movie takes place. Joshua and Naomi Collins their son Barnabas travels from Liverpool to America in the pursuit to find a new better life, but the family curse overtakes them even on the boat. After the twenty years Barnabas becomes reach and famous in the small city of Collinsport and the master of Collinwood Manor. Acting like some sort of local Casanova he breaks the heart of one witch, Angelique Bouchard. There were two issues with this case: the first, she was the real witch and, and the second, it was a fatal mistake of Barnabas. Her reaction was lightning fast and literally inescapable: she turns him in the vampire and buries him for greater certainty. But after 200 years due to some accident he frees from the grave and tries to return to a normal life. But a normal life does not exist in 1972, anymore. Barnabas realizes it after visiting the ruins of former Collinwood Manor, now occupied by his dysfunctional descendants. There the story of Dark Shadows begins.

Choreography, writing, acting, attitude, and some knowledge of the martial arts can make for an entertaining movie such as we find in the 2011 release of Warrior. Most "sports" related movies are too predictable and technical to make them entertaining enough to please a wide audience but this one covers nearly all the bases to make it a family oriented film. Even the addition of Nick Nolte as the father of a young man training for a mixed martial arts competitive tournament brings plenty of pathos and family values to the film. Nolte is a former boxer and an alcoholic whose two sons, played by Tom Hardy (Tom Conlon) and Joel Edgerton (playing Brendan Conlon) decide to become professional mixed martial arts fighters and ultimately compete against each other. Nolte (as Paddy Conlon) has his hands full with his own demons but tries to be of help for the sake of family ties. Also starring Jennifer Morrison (playing Tess Conlon), William Mapother (David Milligan), and Kurt Angle (as Koba) Warrior is filled with action and great fight sequences.

As in all the fairy tale versions of this classic we find a beautiful young and desirable woman who sleeps, deeply and for long periods. The erotic version seen here in this 2011 Australian film is oddly filled with intimate encounters but strangely enough, no actual sex involved. Seems like the Sleeping Beauty named Lucy, who is played by Emily Browning (Sucker Punch, The Uninvited), is a young woman who evidently hates men enough to pick her lovers simply by a toss of a coin. She is consensually drugged with sleep medications that put her out for long periods of time, and with a wide assortment of much older men. She evidently is never actually "penetrated" however and this seems to make the audience edgy, wondering just what is going to happen and if ever anything even will, because after all, this is not supposed to be a porn film.he story is definitely told from a modern perspective and that may not work with many who come to see a classic fairy tale story, so just be forewarned.lso starring in Sleeping Beauty are Rachael Blake playing Clara, Ewen Leslie as Birdman, Mirrah Foulkes as Sophie, and Michael Dorman as Cook.
